    Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

    Crucible prediction : If Bungie over nerfs low zoom sniper scopes, Arbalest will be more prevalent that it has ever been.

    Title. I personally am a fan of low zoom scopes because of their agility and the amount of information they make available due to wider POV. Really hope that Bungie doesn't over nerf them (personally fine with an aim assist reduction) to a point that Arbalest becomes the only sensible substitute. Thoughts?

    This community is absolutely filled with incredible artists. Why doesn’t bungie hold a contest for an armor ornament set design, weapon ornament, ghost shells, etc.

    I truly think it would be a sick idea. There are so many people who design such incredible ideas that bungie should implement in game. I feel like it would be a wonderful addition to community content sections and even the community itself could vote on them as well. There could be ghost shells people make, sparrows, even like a ship. I truly believe getting the community involved like that would help evolve the game even more and if it was an in-game store transaction I wouldn't mind as long as the creator gets a lil something for amazing ideas that are implemented.

    Hope we see the Black Armory again

    Being that the Black Armory was just some faction introduced in a sort of one-off story from a season produced under Activision, I do hope that we see them expanded upon; and with everything "Black Armory," seemingly being removed in Beyond Light I don't want to see them forgotten.

    With the presence of the Darkness itself in our system and the looming threat of the Witch Queen™ their high quality arms and armor are looking pretty useful right now. The idea of multiple families coming together to create weapons to face whatever was coming for our system while everyone else put their faith blindly in the Traveler is pretty interesting, plus I just love Ada-1 (and their aesthetic). But hey, knowing Bungie it'll take them a few years to revisit them and continue their story.

    Spicy Ramen Edge-Lit Sign

    I've been trying to decorate my desk a bit and always love Destiny stuff, but really wanted a Spicy Ramen sign. Didn't see any, so I made one! There are one or two things I want to tweak (especially with the base), but overall I'm happy with it so far.

    Titan barricade rework(?)

    idk if that is the right name for this, however i have been a titan main since d1 (insert veteran Destiny player complaint), and i love being a titan. i also enjoy playing as warlock and hunter just not as much.

    anyway the crux of the issue is that titans barricades, haven't been changed since the beta, apart from tweaks,

    i know this is the same for everyone else however i dont feel right making a post about it since i dont MAIN them

    so i have come up with reworking ideas, will bungie do any of these probably not, because they will take a LONG time to do and need to be balanced and etc etc.

    TLDR: this is only barricades, i have rough 3d renders of my ideas in the comments.

    EDIT : the barricade summon time i used ins't the proper in game one i didnt know what it was so i used 2sec as a reference point for the reduction percentages, sorry for any confusion

    barricades general changes

    a far as i can remember (not saying much), the most bungie has done with barricades is tweak HP, etc however they have existed since - as i stated - the beta mostly unchanged, now we have had MAJOR sandbox changes, the go fast update, forsaken and special weapons, shadow keep and armor changes. and as such i have some suggestions

    • non rally 'cades are treated as an player in terms of tracking and lunges
      • as in Jotunn will track the barricade if it is closer in anyway then you
      • same with melee's etc
      • NOT bullet magnatism OR aim assist
    • barricades at base have 500HP, (from 600 currently)
      • but do not take extra damage from:
        • anti barrier, weapons
        • special weapons
        • power weapons
      • they reduce phase through damage
        • blast damage going THROUGH a barricade, lowers it's damage
        • this goes for weapons, abilities etc
        • this would be quite significant maybe 35%
      • also thoughts on reducing grenade damage TO the barricade since when ever someone sees a barricade they just toss a 'nade on it and that is all it takes
    • barricades have a 15% faster summon speed
      • as in 2 sec summon time currently it would be a 1.7sec summon timer
    • barricades cancel momentum
      • this is an anti APE measure, not 100% sure on it but
      • what this means is that you cant slide/lunge/run through a barricade
        • apon contact with a barricade you lose all momentum and are forced to walk at a crawl until they have left the barricade
    • summoning a barricade grants a 0.5sec period of 1.5X weapon handling
    • barricades have HARD edges as in they have a solid line as an out line, although the current one is more natural or lighish, i think harder edges is more in line with a titan.
    • all barricades descend 0.5m into the ground

    specific changes

    Towering barricade

    • changed design from current since it isn't very towering
    • barricade isn't as wide being a little winder then the player model (see the black rectangle)
    • however it is FAR taller, being about 2.25X the height of a player model
      • not including the 0.5m that goes into the ground
    • see my linked images for what they look like
      • see how the side wrap around a little for some added protection
    • EDIT : this one could have a new animation where our guardian almost rips this barricade up and out of the ground

    rally barricade

    • overhalled it's design some what to make it more, like a machinegunners nest
    • as can be see the new design has far taller sides,
    • having the "rally barricade" buff does more now
      • still has the reload buff
      • increases weapon handaling (stat buff = (stat/100)-1)*-50
      • increases weapon stability (stat buff = (stat/100)-1)*-65
        • (can you guys vote on a range buff?)

    Barricade

    • since my ideas are technique getting rid of the current towering barricade design, i desided to keep it, with some changes
    • since both the other barricades are very specialised this would be a the "normal" barricade
    • barricade has a 30% faster summon speed
    • 10% less HP (from 500 to 450)
    • 15% faster recharge
    • in design it is not as wide
    • citans ONLY WORKS WITH THIS ONE

    Bungie can you also tune 180 and 140 hand cannons to have more value/purpose when you rework 110s?

    140s feel like a worse version of 150/, 180s feel like they don't do anything well... low impact makes them poor pve choices and their range is just as bad as 150s but they can't 3 tap in pvp...

    You get three bullets back for a max mag size IKELOs SMG. What am I going to do with that xD I would love to see a change at some point. Just another reason why hardly anyone uses SMGs apart from IKELOs in cell builds.

    PSA: Heroic story mission :"THE MACHINIST" is up today for those chasing the Chronicler title. (Sept 14, 2020)

    One of the semi-gated requirements for the LORE seal is the heroic mission "The machinist". It is one of the entries for a required step: Ghost Stories. (It is labeled secret until you discover one of the ghosts)

    Start up the mission from your director > Vanguard > Daily Heroic Story Mission > Click the mission name and select The Machinist from the list.

    Shouldn’t the final moments of Titan, Mercury and IO be a mission or a cutscene?

    I've noticed the most of the story which doesn't include or directly involve us is just put into the Lore. I feel like these locations and those on it need a final mission to them or at least a cutscene instead of being put in text form.

    This hit me real hard today as I was vibing in front of the Shattered Throne portal. I'm looking up at this massive gate into the personal afterlife of a quasi-transcendent queen, sitting on tiles laid by her billion-year-old civilization, and I'm just some blue idiot with thick delts, a glowing fist, and a shotgun. What the fuck am I doing here?

    I dunno I just get this constant feeling that in the scope of the universe of Destiny, a corporeal being who shoots bullets at stuff can't possibly be consequential. It's especially funny when you have to fight some huge beast named like "Cragur, Plague of the Well" or jumping into a fucking time machine called "The Infinite Forest" and... just... you have a pistol, I guess? A fucking revolver?

    I know, I know, we're channeling the energy of an acausal universal constant and that's where our actual power comes from, but then why can I shoot three bullets into a robot that's designed to control time and erase it from the past? I'm gonna go fight a GOD with a GUN???? I can't swim, but I'm gonna go shoot BULLETS at a WIZARD? Idk man it's just hilarious sometimes.

    3d printed this for a friend's birthday. Printed on an Ender3 pro with pla filament. The mag comes out and the trigger actuates. Its his favorite gun so needless to say he was ecstatic to get it. Fun build overall.

    Pretty much title. I think the new system where you have to grind the activity for a unique shader is cool. The problem: the ornaments aren't that unique. The rag has these decals on them, but the only one that has any contrast is the Vanguard one, but they're all going to get pixelated to the point that you can't tell what they were. Beyond that, It appears as though the biggest difference between them is the color scheme. I mean, this game has had legendary weapon ornaments that changed the appearance more dramatically, right?

    In my opinion, gambit weapons have had some of the most iconic branding for weapons in the game. This gambit ornament they showed looks more like the only reason it's a gambit ornament is because it's green. Like, I'd expect more prominent branding like they've done with other weapons. The 4 gambit prime role symbols like on Exit Stategy, the twin snake logo and/or medallion on the side, the "taken" energy slits like the ornaments from the Joker's Wild Set, jade coin effects in the scope, etc. Crucible weapons also usually at least have the two headed phoenix on the side.

    Anyone have any thoughts on this?

    Edit: this isn't about the "reskinned"/recycled model. This also isn't about its similarities to Beloved, but i agree that these both are concerning as well. This is about how overwhelmingly similar the ornaments and the base are to each other.
