Perfect Aim website sent Cease and Desist

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 01:19 PM PDT

Quote from Perfectaim's website for Destiny 2, an aimhack website

"This product is no longer available

A claim has been made by Bungie, Inc. ("Bungie") suggesting that this product violates the game's license agreement. Furthermore, a demand was made that we cease and desist from selling this product.

We won't comment on whether these claims are justified or not, but have decided to comply with this demand regardless. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to our customers. "

Edit: My question now is, who else are they going after, and what other initiatives do they have to continue their anti-cheat pursuit

Edit 2: clarification of what perfect aim is.

Bungie needs their own G-Fuel flavor.

I want to slay mountains of dregs while sipping on some energized icy blueberry mint blast, running through the snowy wasteland of Europa.

Even better? Chugging some orange cherry sunburst at the same time I pop a golden gun hunter and miss all 6 shots because I'm so cracked. I petition this to become real life.

Edit: Let's raise our glasses of Vex energy gfuel milk for Deej.

Love Suros Regime so much, I wanted to Integrate it Into My Aim + an RGB Siva logo

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 02:40 PM PDT

Behold, the Suros Gaming mouse and the SIVA Aim.

It was done using spray paint and some hours of figuring out how a Cricut machine works.

The SIVA logo was done by sanding the plastic clear, applying the logo over (after a few minutes of alignment), then painting over and then peeling it off. Yes the RGB works like any gaming mice.

Pretty proud of these two, and I hope you like it too!

RIP Engraved D2 launch party tumbler - we hardly knew ye :(

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 12:38 PM PDT

My favorite tumbler took a tumble when my little girl knocked it off the counter :( (daughter is completely unharmed, thankfully)

The glass just made it to 3 years old last month. 2020 strikes again.

My best friend was contracting for Activision at the time and attended the launch party. He got this for me with my PSN/GT engraved on it. I'm really bummed, just needed some moral support. Can I get an F?

Edit: I swear I didn't mean to shard this. Didn't even get anything other than glimmer from it, either.

Forgotten Solstice of Heroes zone getting vaulted

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 12:29 PM PDT

With the vaulting of locations this coming November various planets and campaigns are going away as there assets will be taken of the game file. This is the reason missions like zero hour will be going away but many of us already knew that. One location I always wanted to go back to was from the Solstice of Heroes event during warmind expansion as it was the closes thing we got to a social zone in the last city. Unfortunate it seems that going back to it will not be happening any time soon as the location used a lot of assets from the Red War campaign.

Getaway Artist warlock exotic has a hidden perk - Arc Soul hits recharge your grenade. [+more info]

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 08:29 AM PDT

Armor's exotic perk is only described as "Dynamic Duo. Convert your Arc Grenade into a supercharged Arc Soul". But it also has a hidden perk, which causes hits with projectiles from an Arc Soul to recharge your grenade faster. Hits, not kills. So shooting a boss or an ultra will still make your nade recharge faster. Just for an example, at 6 Discipline, hitting a simulated ogre will recharge your grenade to full, 2 seconds before Arc Soul runs out (and the total damage will be slightly less than a half of ogre's hp).

This works on all 3 warlock arc skill trees, and Arc Souls created by bottom tree's rift also get this bonus, when the exotic is equipped.
Also, even though Arc Souls created with a rift aren't called "Sentient", when Getaway Artist is equipped, they're functionally identical to the ones created by the grenade, ie they shoot 6 times instead of 3 and have a shorter delay between bursts.

    Additional Info:
    1) To elaborate even further, casting a rift and creating an arc soul, stepping out of it and switching to Getaway Artist will upgrade your Arc Soul to a superior version instantly. Respectively, removing Getaway Artist after creating a grenade Arc Soul will downgrade it to a weaker version instantly as well.

    2) Note that the damage per projectile is always the same between exotic/non-exotic version of Arc Soul, but the exotic one shoots more times in a burst and has a shorter delay between bursts (I also believe they fly faster).

    3) Arc Soul will only start shooting when the target's center is within around 83 FOV in-front of the player for bigger targets and around 70 for smaller targets (if your FOV setting is lower, Arc Soul will appear to shoot to off screen, or, if higher, appear to not shoot a target which is clearly visible to you). Casting a super or using a sword increases Arc Soul's target acquisition angle, but emoting or casting a rift doesn't.
-----the fov values might be different for other people, I'm not completely sure how that target acquisition works, but you get the idea.
-----x2 also, forgot to mention, if you face the target, and then turn away after Arc Soul has started firing, the whole burst will still be shot at the target, even if it's behind you, but no more bursts will be fired before you face the target again.
-----x3 on the unrelated noted, bottom arc's Electrostatic Surge is quirky: it increases the duration for both Empowering and Healing rifts to 20, but the former shows a default 14 second timer and when it hits 0:00, it still works for the next 6 seconds, showing a 0:00 time. The latter shows the proper time. Both of them refresh Arc Soul's timer only for the first 14 seconds of the rift.

Be careful with Umbral Engram when focusing. If you get a higher light one and focus, you reduce it's Light Level.

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 07:13 AM PDT

A buddy of mine mentioned it and I thought he just mistaken. Then I got a 1060 engram. I focused it and it did indeed lower the light level.

If you’ve run out of things to do, go and help blueberries on LFG.

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 02:15 PM PDT

I'm kinda done with this loooong season, so for the last couple of weeks I've been going in to the LFG bit of the D2 app and helping people with Whisper, Zero Hour, the dungeons, exotic weapon strikes and all that.

It's fun to revisit stuff and makes me all warm and fuzzy. I tend to pick the no mic ones as I tend to play with no mic (usually gaming in the same room as my kids, so I don't want to talk to randoms instead) as I know from experience what a pain it can be

This evening I ran whisper and then heroic with one guy and then did the Shattered Throne and the special Pyramidion to help someone get Izanagi's . Better than running Prophecy for the 60th time this season. No loot to speak of, but I'm not actually chasing anything at the moment anyway.

This dude Xur gave me Phoenix Protocol from the exotic engram, how do I use it?

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 01:42 AM PDT

Hi, new player here. I just started playing D2 about 2 weeks ago so I'm still getting accustomed to everything. Last week was my first time ever buying from big homie Xur so I checked out what his engrams give out. I immediately gravitated towards Phoenix Protocol because of how dope it looks, and, somehow, I managed to get it on my second week. I just wanted to know, as a new player, how to use it. My roll was- +9 mobility +2 resilience +25 recovery +23 discipline (what the heck does that do?) +7 intellect +2 strength For a total of 68, is that good? I have no clue when jt comes to armor. Any tips are appreciated, thank you for your time !

Next year, with the readdition of the Cosmodrome, the Festival of the Lost should involve the quarantined part of the Cosmodrome.

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 10:49 AM PDT

A horde mode with SIVA enemies or regular Fallen in a darkened room with a no radar modifier on, so you have no idea where they're coming from, while you work to turn back on the lights and escape. And at the end, there's bosses that drop from the ceiling in the hallway of the exit that you have to fight before being able to leave and claim your reward. This honestly wouldn't take much work, as they're re-adding the whole of the Cosmodrome and there's a room that would work perfectly (it's from one of the initial strikes in D1). And I suggest all of this, but in reality anything is better than the haunted forest 3 years in a row.

TIL Shattered Throne is still the rarest dungeon to be completed Solo Flawless

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 06:44 AM PDT

I was looking through the solo flawless dungeon emblems on Light.gg to see how rare they are. Prophetic Visionary (Prophecy) is owned by 6% Guardians, Crimson Echoes (Pit of Heresy) by 7% and The Eternal Return (Shattered Throne) by 9%. Then I realized that the ST emblem is only for solo, not solo flawless, so I looked up the Triumph for Solo Flawless Shattered Throne.

Only 3% of Guardians have finished it. Despite it being the oldest dungeon (already more than 2 years in the game), Taken mods being freely available and events like Revelry which made the Triumph easier (even though I get that a lot of new players joined after that).

Is ST really that much harder than Prophecy or Pit? I can understand that Pit is much easier due to ball duping, but Prophecy? Or do people just not care about Solo Flawless and only do Solo due to lack of rewards from Solo Flawless?

Guide for new/returning players (pre beyond light)

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 07:12 PM PDT

    Table of contents:

Where do I even begin / What dlc's are worth it?

    What weapons/armor do I want?

    What's a sunsetting?

    What's the content vault?

    Armor 2.0

    Beyond light prep

    Gambit 101

    Exotics to get

    Raids

Where do I even begin / What dlc's are worth it?

Where you want to start, and what dlc's you want to buy depend on whether you want to get loot, or learn the story.

    Loot focused perspective:

Get the forsaken annual pass, season of arrivals, and beyond light. Start working on exotic quests from the seasons of the forge, drifter, opulence (included in forsaken annual pass). And make sure to get a gnawing hunger (season of arrivals) and falling guillotine (rank 30 on the season pass).

    Story focused perspective:

You can either play the old campaigns in this order:

    Red war

    Curse of Osiris

    Warmind

    Forsaken

    Shadowkeep

    Season of arrivals

or you can watch The Complete Story of Destiny! From origins to Shadowkeep and then watch The Complete Story and Lore of Destiny 2! From Shadowkeep to Season of Arrivals! both by Byf (these links probably don't work on mobile).

    What weapons/armor do I want?

Falling guillotine, gnawing hunger, some good snipers and shotguns, 60+ stat armor with a high recovery (see armor 2.0), and as many exotics as you can get your hands on.

    What's a sunsetting?

Recently bungie was faced with the issue that if they released an op weapon, no one would use anything else until they nerfed that weapon, and once they nerfed the weapon it was no longer good. Sunsetting is a system that tries to rotate op weapons out of the meta without nerfing them. Bungie placed a limit on the power any gun can have (it's called a power cap), so eventually because end game content rises in power that would mean a weapon would be too low power to be used in that activity. Newer weapons have higher power caps so they can be used in new content. The weapons that got "sunset" can still be used in older low power content.

    What's the content vault?

Destiny 2 is currently becoming too big in storage size so bungie is removing content from the game to make way for new content. The content vault is where removed content goes. Major planets and raids being vaulted are: mercury, mars, io, titan, all leviathan related raids. For a full list of content being vaulted go here here.

    Armor 2.0

The way armor works was updated with shadowkeep. You have 6 stats that all range from 0-100 points. You get these from your armor. Depending on the number each stat has that stat will be given a tier from 0-10. Keep in mind that the tier of each stat only change every 10 points so for example 59 points in mobility is the same as 50 points, because they are both in tier 5. Below is a list of the 6 stats and what they affect

Mobility: Walking speed, base jump height, and dodge cooldown on hunter. Mobility DOES NOT AFFECT SPRINT SPEED. You only want mobility if you're on a hunter.

Resilience: Amount of health you have. Do not that it is insignificant. It also affects barricade cooldown on titan.

Recovery: Health regeneration significantly, and also rift cooldown on warlock.

    Discipline: Affects grenade cooldown

Intellect: Affects super cooldown. Do note that after tier 6 it starts to give less and less super cooldown.

    Strength: Affect melee ability cooldown

Below your stat points on armor there is a total which is the points for that piece of armor added together. The worst totals are 45ish, and the best is 69 I believe (nice), you want to aim for around a 60 total. Armor 2.0 is complicated, and if this didn't make sense to you there are also much better guides on youtube for armor 2.0.

    Beyond light prep:

If you're new, or coming back to the game right now there isn't much you can do in this time frame. However you can hoard bounties and currencies. Make sure to become familiar with the spider on the tangled shore as he is very helpful. Make sure to also get weapons and armor that won't be sunset (see what's a sunsetting).

    Gambit 101:

When you spawn into a gambit match you will be put into a lobby with a clear wall between you and the enemy team, you must walk up to that wall and emote, or you die instantly. Then you will be teleported to the actual match. You and the other team are on different identical maps. When you kill enemies they drop white triangles called motes. Pick them up by walking up to them, you can hold a maximum of 15 motes. When you die you lose your motes, they do not drop. Walk up to bank in the center of the map, and interact with it to bank your motes. Banking motes can summon blockers on the enemy side which are enemies that stop the enemy from banking motes, they can only bank when they kill those blockers. There are different sizes of blockers 1-4 motes banked is no blocker, 5-9 is small, 10- 14 is medium, 15 is large. When your team gets 25 and then 50 motes in the bank a portal opens to the enemy map, and lets one person through who then gets to kill the enemy team. This is called invasions. Once your team has 75 motes in the bank you summon a boss called a primeval. When you kill this boss you win the round, first team to 2 rounds won wins. Gambit prime is the same thing but there is only one round, primeval has damage phases, it's first to 100 motes, not 75, and you can drain enemies motes by having 2 or more blockers on their side. Note that these 2 modes are being merged into 1 in beyond light.

    Exotics to get:

You want to get all of them, but here are your priorities and how to get them

    Weapons:

    Arbalest: random drop

    Bastion: Exotic cipher

    Outbreak Perfected: Quest

    Suros regime: random drop

    Fighting lion: random drop

    Anarchy: scourge raid

    1k voices: last wish raid

    Prospector: random drop

    Xenophage: Quest

For any of the ones that say quest, you can search up a guide on youtube.

Armor (all random drop. I only play warlock, so take hunter and titan with a grain of salt):

    Hunter:

    Celestial nighthawk

    Gemini Jester

    Gwisin vest

    Knucklehead radar

    Shards of galanor

    Shinobus vow

    Stompees

    Hallowfire heart

    Heart of inmost light

    Lion rampants

    MK 44 standasides

    One eyed mask

    Synthoceps

    Ursa furiosa

    Raids

Raids are 6 player non matchmade mechanically challenging activities. Currently the are 7 raids in the game:

    Leviathan and it's prestige

Leviathan eater of world and it's prestige

Leviathan spire of stars and it's prestige

    Last wish

    Scourge of the past

    Leviathan crown of sorrow

    Garden of salvation

When beyond light comes out 1 new and 1 returning raid will come out. Deep stone crypt and vault of glass. 5 raids will be vaulted (see what's the content vault), those are:

    Leviathan and it's prestige

Leviathan eater of world and it's prestige

Leviathan spire of stars and it's prestige

    Scourge of the past

    Leviathan crown of sorrow

That's all, hope it made sense. If you read that in one sitting you need help.

    Appreciation for the Dreaming City

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 09:20 PM PDT

As this season, and year wraps up, I decided to go back and mess around in the Dreaming City. I still don't have my Cursebreaker Seal, so I grabbed my Wishender, and some Petra bounties to try to make headway. I ended up mainly just exploring some of the play spaces.

I have to say that the design team did a beautiful job of putting together the dreaming city as a whole. It really is what I'd imagine a mystical city hidden in the mists to be like. Everything down to the beacons for patrols, and the resources we collect truly immerses me within the location.

I particularly appreciated the Bay of Drowned Wishes. It's actually one of the more terrifying lost sector concepts and it's rather unique in my opinion. Overall, it just reminded me part of what I enjoy about the game, that I never really take the time to appreciate.

TLDR: The Design and graphics teams I guess, did a really amazing job with the Dreaming City, and I look forward to their work on Europa.

I have been playing Destiny since the beginning. It wasn't until recently however that I actually began to take the game serious. The lore, the Destiny Universe... All of it has got to be some of the most intriguing and interesting game content that I have ever come across. It all feels so complete and fleshed out. The more I play, the deeper I want to go... The deeper I go, the more obsessed I get with wanting to discover Destiny's secrets! I literally have been saving and collecting lore tabs. Waiting till I have a huge stack of them unread so that I can sit back and read them as if I am reading a book. I can't help it... I'm hooked. It really makes me mad in that it took me so long to get into Destiny in that I have missed out on so much content and so many stories that coincide with pervious seasons.

The one thing that held be back in the past was endgame content. I kicked the "multiplayer bucket" several years ago (more on that later). If ya wanna dig deep into Destiny and really experience everything it has to offer, I gotta participate in the endgame and the endgame relies heavily on multiplayer content. That is where the "Thanks for This" comes in. I need every bit of this information if I wanna "get good" so that I don't piss off or let anyone down in the middle of a raid, strike or Gambit match. So thank you to everyone who took time out of their life and participated in the creation of this most useful content. I'm tellin ya... I desperately need this. I am really looking forward to Beyond Light and I need to make sure I am ready when it finally releases. Currently I am goin after exotics. Sure I can get them quickly through Xur, but doing things the easy way cuts out a ton of lore and quests... All of everything that I love about Destiny.

One of the things that kept me from doing anything "multiplayer" was how toxic gamers can get. I am 43yrs old and have been gaming since I was 10. I actually LOVE FPS multiplayer action, but the toxicity just got to be to much and I gave it up shortly after the release of Battlefield 2. The awesomeness of Destiny's universe got me back into it. For the most part the Destiny Community seems to be great, but I haven't played anything serious yet... Just a couple of strikes, crucible and Gambit matches. Now that I am getting ready to venture into raids and nightfall strikes I need to up my game and that brought me here.

Thank you again to everyone who has contributed to everything that has anything to do with helping out noobs like me. Thank you to everyone who has been patient with us noobs and most important.. Thank YOU for being YOU!

Hey Bungie, I hope with the eventual release of Hawkmoon you all tweak/improve 140s.

As a little above average pvp player, I feel that the sandbox as a whole is pretty well balanced; not the biggest fan of auto rifles atm but I'm glad to see them have their day in the sun. My main point of posting this is to see some improvement to 140 HCs. I love the feel of 140s: as a controller player, I feel that I don't have to fight the recoil on them as much as 150s and my roll of The Old Fashioned (qd+explosive payload) feels great. especially with pairing it with a sniper or shotgun. As of right now, using a 140 are outperformed by far and away by 150s: they have pretty much the same range as 150 HCs but with a worse TTK.

When I read that you were reworking/buffing/tweaking (or whatever type of change) 110 HCs, I was pretty happy about that: I thought that they were long overdue for some type of rework because I thought they lacked something.

I'm not going to sit here and try to say that I am an expert at pvp; I'm very content with getting 3 wins in Trials for whatever is available because of where my skill is I'd struggle to get to 5 wins. So, maybe I am offbase by asking for this, but I think that they should get an increase to its base range and could maybe 2 crit 1 body to most guardians (perhaps below Tier 6 resilience akin to Thorn, something that is I feel fairly easy to counter).

PS please do something to improve scouts I don't know what should be done to give them a good place in this sandbox and I know this is all hard to balance to make PVP more enjoyable and rewarding. I know that most maps in the game cater to close to mid-range weapons.
