- DAILY THREAD - RANT WEDNESDAY
- Every. Single. Little. Exploit. Every tiny benefit to the players. Anything like that gets patched or disabled IN HOURS. But anything actually throttling someone's grind or progress in the game is just given the "we are looking at it" excuse and thrown on the shelf
- [Fan Art] Sexy Dominatri... Dom... Dominus Ghaul
- Why in the WORLD would you kill off a likeable character off-screen, in a lore tab that's not even in the game?
- Stasis in crucible is the best thing that's ever happened to this game
- I'm glad they heard our Feedback on the Vaulting of Tribute Hall and gave us Immobile Targets to Test our Weapons on.
- This expansion and season have a clear emphasis on playing the core playlists, so why wasn't there a greater emphasis on new playlist content?
- Please stop hiring celebrities to be voice actors, the game is bleeding NPC's.
- How did we go from Vex Offensive/Sundial to grinding strikes/crucible/gambit for lures just to kill a lost sector level boss?
- Bungie, the scene where Crow saved Osiris could have potentially been the second biggest "Whoa" moment in the game's history.
- Making the campaign actually difficult on the first run through was so much fun!
- Once we hit the 1250 hard cap, vendor drops should be 1250.
- Bungie please, can we get a toggle to turn matchmaking off in Vanguard Strikes? It’s getting frustratingly harder to complete bounties amidst speed runners.
- Season of the Hunt is a joke.
- i think something might be broken in mayhem
- Bungie patching all these things I'm starting to realize they patch thing to increase the longevity of our grind for out power levels so we can grind all week on the game and put time in to hit 1250 or 1280 bungie literally just wants us on the game 24/7 and its starting to look pretty predatory.
- Why it took me almost 100 hours to finish the Red War campaign
- I mean, does feedback like 'we would like loot in our loot shooter' and 'we don't want our paid content deleted and replaced with a fraction of new conent' really need to be 'passed along'?
- I bet whatever designer made it thought they were really cute, but "Defeat 10 champions with stasis in strikes" is not an OK objective to make.
- Bungie is really trying hard to prevent me enjoying this dlc.
- The wrathborn hunts ARENT bugged. Follow the green trail and it will bring you to a marker to continue the hunt
- Glacier Grenades Can Pass Into A Ward of Dawn From The Outside And I Don’t Think That’s Right.
- Exotics should intrinsically have kill trackers
- Two-Drink Minimum
- BUNGiE, you can make an excellent, awesome, super great activity but if you don't put loot on it, people will not play it.
- Bungie, like it or not, you need to address this.

Posted: 17 Nov 2020 11:29 AM PST During Year 1, Sagira was one of a handful of interesting characters in the whole game. Now she is randomly killed off and not even acknowledged as a character we interacted with during a whole campaign. What kind of writing is that? Osiris didn't even give a shit, unless there is some lore tab that also tells us why he didn't even mention her more than once after she died. Not even a cutscene or quote or anything. Anyone who doesn't read the lore page (basically most players) will find her death as lame as it gets. [link] [comments] |
Stasis in crucible is the best thing that's ever happened to this game Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:08 AM PST At first, I thought it was a completely broken, unfair mechanic that ultimately wasn't fun to play against. But then when I was frozen and mashing the key fruitlessly, I realized the absolute genius in play here. Instead of wasting my time spamming a button that will have zero impact in my survival, I could be productive and rediscover old hobbies. Now when I'm trapped by stasis I finally have the time to read a book, fry up some eggs, take the dog for a walk and even start learning a new language. Thank you Bungie for the wonderful addition to crucible! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 17 Nov 2020 12:55 PM PST For Bungie devs, my feedback is this: I like the ability to finish quests through the playlist of my choosing, but these playlists feel very stale, even more so due to sunsetting a number of strikes, and PvP/Gambit maps. As many other members of the community have said, there needs to be more loot in these activities, and ideally just more new content. My assumption would be that future seasons will add more to cancel out any that get rotated (ex. We know we're getting 2 reprised strikes from D1 next season), but it's disappointing that this renewed focus comes with so little to replace what we lost. [link] [comments] |
Please stop hiring celebrities to be voice actors, the game is bleeding NPC's. Posted: 17 Nov 2020 08:42 AM PST
There has been a clear pattern with hiring of celebrity voice actors: they become unavailable, and they're replaced with someone else or Nolan North. And, most importantly: the game suffers as a result. I hate to bring it up, but since Bungie is now operating like an Indie Developer, just do what other Indie Developers do: hire your own employees to be the voices of your characters. Look at Warframe, for example: The Lotus is voiced by Rebecca Ford, Warframes Community Director. Games as a service, evolving worlds, whatever you want to call them, require consistency and commitment and looking at the statuesque Ikora with no new lines or involvement in these major developments happening in the worlds, it's safe to say that cannot be done with the current cast of actors behind the voices of our favorite NPC's. Edit: Many have also said "hire no name voice actors just starting their careers" and I agree with this. I genuinely don't care if it's Bungies own employees or new Voice Actors, so long as they're consistent and can show up for new DLC's and Seasons when they drop. It's unacceptable that the pyramids showed up and the only way we could get Ikora to look at them was to replay the Red War. Edit 2: Yes, Sagira got killed off screen, yesterday there was a lore dropand today when you logged on there's a message about it in the game. Part of the reason I started digging into these actors and actresses voicing our characters. If this is worthy of a spoiler tag at this point in time I'm sure a mod would have taken care of it. Posted: 17 Nov 2020 01:13 PM PST Anyone else massively disappointed that this is the seasonal activity? How is this a new activity when you are grinding the same strikes/gambit/crucible just to get lures and then "hunt" the target who is pretty much a lost sector level boss? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Nov 2020 05:06 PM PST Turning the corner to see the pyramid ship on the Moon was huge, the buzz in the community after that mission was hugely positive, everyone had a strong reaction to it. If you hadn't blown your load by showing Crow in the ViDoc, Uldren's return as Crow could have potentially been a huge moment. I don't know if it was because I already knew that Uldren was back, but in Immolant Part 2 when Spider said he had his best man on the job, I had my suspicions that it was Crow. Little hints like that are great, nonchalantly showing the return of a major character in a ViDoc isn't as exciting. [link] [comments] |
Making the campaign actually difficult on the first run through was so much fun! Posted: 17 Nov 2020 10:22 AM PST I really enjoyed the struggle of fighting an enemy that was supposed to be hard. When we got unlimited stasis it made the darkness feel powerful to us, letting us mercilessly slay our enemies that were previously hunting us down behind crates and corners. I like the difficult aspect, I want more actual hard activities. Missions where we have to run and hide, peak from cover, fight smart rather than jumping out in the open. It made the game feel like a shooter rather than a firing range. [link] [comments] |
Once we hit the 1250 hard cap, vendor drops should be 1250. Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:35 PM PST This season, vendor drops have been 20 below our gear score to prevent token slamming to quickly level up. That's fine. But once we're done levelling, these drops should be 1250 so we don't have to spend an upgrade module every time we get a roll we like. EDIT: It wouldn't help us level our alternate characters, either. If we're already 1250, so are all our weapons (give or take a couple negligible points if you happen to do a pinnacle to bring a piece of armor over 1250 before all your weapons get there), which are the only thing transferrable to other characters. Posted: 17 Nov 2020 11:33 AM PST I'm a D1 vet and Vanguard Strikes have always been my favorite playlist. A good friend came back to Destiny after a year break who is a very casual player and he loves strikes too. The problem is we're both trying to fight our way through the strike and get our bounties done but we seem to always get paired up with 'Speedracer McGee' who wants to run past everything and trigger the boss fight before we even get our supers. Or 'Powerhouse McJones' who's plowing ahead with trinity ghoul and falling guillotine and leaving nothing for us to kill. In a game where things are so bounty focused or quests are to get 'x type' amount of kills in strikes, it's turning something that was enjoyable into an exercise of frustration. PS - The Glassway strike is an amazing new strike and thank you for creating it. IMO, it does everything right in a strike in terms of length, amount of enemies and fun boss fight that you can't just melt or who sits there immune. So thank you! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Nov 2020 03:31 PM PST You brought back Uldren to waste him on this: chasing high value targets in patrol, except you can't even do that on repeat, because in order to start the missions you need to do strikes as an arbitrary in-between grind. Bungie added ONE new strike (which is actually a reused story mission) and NOTHING else to make the playlist feel fresh. Beyond Light already asks players do complete core activities on repeat, and yet the core activities have recieved NO substantial attention. How many years have we been asking for strike specific loot, skeleton keys, and meaningful rewards in crucible? The community managers have supposedly passed this to 'the team', but at this point I'm struggling to believe that there's any truth in that. I havent even mentioned the lack of loot. Season of the hunt as a standalone brings 5 new weapons, just 5, and two of those come from the season pass. I'm struggling to think of anything else that falls under seasonal content (Hawkmoon I guess) but in my eyes this doesn't even qualify for minimum viable product. Beyond Light also has a huge loot problem, but this sub has already discussed it in detail, so I won't repeat what's already been said. TL;DR season offers next to nothing, pushes you into stale strike playlist as a substitute for actual content. Shit sucks. [link] [comments] |

Why it took me almost 100 hours to finish the Red War campaign Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:02 AM PST Ok, first off, my introduction to Destiny started RIGHT before the Warmind expansion in D2 (yay flash sales). Since then, I've logged about 1k hours total in-game, with a disturbing amount being dedicated to the wonderful Red War campaign. Now, I've seen how some of you min/maxxers play the game and that isn't my jam. Seems a little sadistic, kind of a kick in the pants. Turns out, I would do something way worse to myself and completely on accident. I didn't know you could buy/use a Sparrow until I finished the entire campaign. So I walked. A LOT. EDZ? Walked it. After all that, I should be built like a freakin' Wyvern. Leggy boi hours. Yes, there were other Guardians zipping around me on Sparrows. No, I wasn't smart, I just thought those sick bikes were preorder bonuses or something. Somehow I never got one in a world drop or engram. The lie remained intact. So after almost 100 hours in-game, I beat it, am forced to talk to Holliday, and I FINALLY get a Sparrow. Nice! Now I can be like everyone else! Fast forward to Shadowkeep and it's massive map. I laugh and say how nice it is to have a Sparrow, or else it would have been the Red War all over again. The following silence, and subsequent roast, will haunt me until I die. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 17 Nov 2020 02:49 PM PST If you took one of the other paths, Crucible or Gambit, for this week's stasis aspect quests, you may ask "Well why not?" Well let me tell ya
I couldn't even cheese this awful objective because when I tried to go in solo, which is 1250, I'd stun the champion, try to damage him, and be unable to do anywhere near enough damage before the overload rounds worse off, and champions, being the absolute scum of the earth, heal like nobody's business. Whoever implemented this objective should have to buy me lunch or something. [link] [comments] |
Bungie is really trying hard to prevent me enjoying this dlc. Posted: 17 Nov 2020 05:41 PM PST I was almost finished with my Powerful's/Pinnacles on my titan and I planned on hopping on my Warlock to grab myself a nice pair of exotic gauntlets from the lost sector on the EDZ until bungie disabled the lost sector because of the cheese. I didn't even know about the cheese. I really just want to play the game. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Nov 2020 10:06 AM PST I like others thought bungos quest was bugged but after noticing the green goo on the ground I followed the trail and progressed the quest. The quest ended up loading me into a retooled lost sector. Kill green glowing enemies to get wrathful buff to take down immune shields [link] [comments] |

Exotics should intrinsically have kill trackers Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:14 AM PST Basically my title. I love using exotics such as 1k, Anarchy, Divinity, Thorn, Chaperone, mainly ones without catalysts. And for weapons that have catalysts, like Eriana's Vow, but are hard to get, would be great if you could tracker weapon kills. I recently got the catalyst for No Time To Explain, and I have over 700 kills on it, but they didn't track because I couldn't even insert the catalyst. I want to be able to see how many PVP kills I have with Thorn, and Chaperone, and it's even more annoying to know there is no way to actually get a catalyst for them that allows me to know. Edit: I will also be reposting this periodically, maybe even daily, until we get a reply from Bungie. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Nov 2020 09:03 AM PST Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/49844 Two-Drink MinimumThe crowded room fell uncomfortably silent. The Eliksni server placed a metal cup of liquid on the table as though issuing a challenge. Crow raised the drink and sniffed at it. If it was poisoned, it was mild. He took a swig, grimaced at the bitterness, then took another. Across the room, the big Eliksni Captain slowly brought his lower arms up to rest on the table, leaving his weapons holstered. He clucked in approval and the tension drained from the room. The Eliksni who brought the drink scuttled back behind the bar, and soon the air filled once again with the series of staccato clicks and thumping that passed for music in the Empty Tank. Glint flitted out of Crow's hood and scanned the contents of the cup. "It certainly isn't good for you," he said, "but this much won't kill you. What does it taste like?" Crow took another sip. "Hmm. I'd say engine coolant, paraffin, and a kind of smoky chalk at the end." He stood, smiled, and raised his cup to the Captain. "It's terrible!" he shouted over the noise of the bar. "Cro-oww!" the Captain barked back, his harsh voice unused to human speech. He pounded a fist against the Spider insignia on his own chestpiece before returning to his drink. "Surprised he knew my name," Crow said to Glint as he sat back down. "Getting on my good side won't get him on Spider's, but at least I get free drinks." "Word about your heroics on the Moon traveled quickly," Glint said. "I would have killed the High Celebrant if Osiris hadn't gotten in the way," Crow grumbled. "Then we'd see some real gratitude. Still…" He swirled the foul drink in his cup. "I saved Osiris—the Osiris," he said. He seemed pleased with himself. "That ought to count for something with those Guardians in the City. Is he one of their leaders?" "No," said Glint. "Osiris's relationship with the Vanguard appears to be complicated." "Why doesn't that surprise me," sighed Crow. "What about that Guardian? Are they anyone important?" Glint thought for a long moment. The Guardian hadn't said anything yet, but if Crow was going to work alongside them, he would be one errant comment away from learning the truth—and from the worst possible person to tell him. "They have several notable achievements," Glint said carefully. "Well, that's something," nodded Crow. "And now they've both heard of Crow." "You've certainly taken to the name," Glint said. Despite the noise in the bar, he kept his voice soft. Crow shrugged. "I've been called worse." "You really have," Glint said. He was silent for a moment. "You never heard the things they said to me while I was reviving you." Crow saw the single scuffed panel of Glint's shell, bulging with wires, and looked away. He wiped his hands on the rough fabric of the cloak Spider had given him. They had suddenly become sweaty. "It's just a name," Crow said dismissively. "You told me before you'd had other names." Glint didn't move; he hung in the air above the table. "Not like this." Crow leaned forward. "I don't understand," he said. He gave Glint a gentle nudge. "Explain it to me. Please." Glint tensed in the air, then acquiesced and hovered closer to Crow. His voice was soft and kind. "I never truly had a name," he said. "There were things people called me, but you named me. So when I hear 'Glint,' I think of you." Crow nodded, then realized what Glint was about to say next. His face twisted in anguish. "I didn't get to name you," Glint said. "Baron Spider did." "Oh, Glint—" Crow blurted, and reached out with both hands as if he could smother the very idea inside the little Ghost. Glint blinked rapidly in confusion. Crow cupped Glint in his hands and exhaled, long and slow. "Glint," he said calmly. The Ghost cocked his head. "Spider picked my name, yes. It's probably a jab at who I used to be, some cruel little joke—maybe I was eaten by crows." Glint started to speak but Crow held up his hand. "I know, you can't tell me. But I don't think he meant it as some grand compliment." Crow looked down, his voice low. "When you came along, I was dead. Before that, I think I was even worse." "Then you found me. Chose me. And early on," Crow took an agonizing sip of his drink and was grateful when it made his eyes water, "it was hard. I wouldn't have made it through that without you—and I don't mean because you kept bringing me back to life." Crow spread his hands wide above the grimy table. "To me, all of this—this place, this cloak, this terrible drink—is because of you. You're the reason I'm here, Glint. I don't need a name to remind me of that." Glint's eye flashed rapidly as he processed the new information, then glowed steadily. "I understand," he said. A crash shook the walls of the Empty Tank. The blast doors at the entrance tore loose from their housing and a massive Cabal Centurion stormed into the bar, weapon drawn, severed Eliksni heads hanging from his waist as bounties. "Where is the Crow?" he bellowed. "Right here," shouted Glint, and Crow stood, pushing his chair away. ** After the smoke cleared, the Eliksni Captain clucked again and waved, making the universal gesture: another drink for him—on me. Bungie, like it or not, you need to address this. Posted: 17 Nov 2020 06:13 PM PST As I'm sure we have all seen, the subreddit is filled with nothing but genuine criticism for the games current state/expansions/seasons. The only thing we have heard is DMG saying that he'll pass on some things. We need to hear something from Bungie. Not just "we will address it with future content". They need to be 100% transparent for once and address the fact that D2 has struggled with the direction they've attempted to take it from DAY ONE. [link] [comments] |
