    Nightfall - The Ordeal: The Scarlet Keep

    Modifiers:

    • Nightfall: The Ordeal: Adept
      • Empath: Enhanced radar. Take increased damage from melee.
    • Nightfall: The Ordeal: Hero
      • All previous modifiers
      • Champions: Unstoppable: This mode contains Unstoppable Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Unstoppable mod.
      • Champions: Barrier: This mode contains Barrier Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Anti-Barrier mod.
      • Champions: Hive: This mode contains both Barrier and Unstoppable Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Anti-Barrier or Unstoppable mod, respectively.

    Have Banshee's icon flash when he is selling a mod that we do not yet own

    There are third-party sites that you can use to notify you when Banshee is selling a mod you want. Why can't the in-game UI do a similar thing and blink his icon when he is selling a mod you do not yet own?

    Edit: It just happened to me. I got all 100 feathers on my hunter. Followed through with it, and got the ship. When I did it on my warlock afterwards, the team I was in found a feather I did not pick up which was at the waterfall in the boss room, they could see/interact with it. I on the other hand cannot see nor interact with it = no lightseeker for me :C

    Edit 2: Final chest gave me 1 hawkmoon instead of 2 as well. Not sure if that's also intended, but figured to let you know of this as well. Cause I know people were able to farm infinite hawkmoon if they didn't pick up the starting quest from Crow, and had someone else load them in.

    GIVE US MORE "IF SOLO" CONTENT

    As a primarily solo player, i loved this, i'm a casual player at about 1240 light and i genuinely found the 1250 lost sector a challenge. Bungie, you could expand on this an absolute fuck ton. Add an "if solo" reward to say strikes and let us queue in solo. Make it so that if you do the new strikes next season solo you get a guaranteed double drop of the strike specific weapon. Anything like this. It doesn't feel like an artificial digficulty scale, it feels like a genuine challenge, it feels like destiny 1 where you could solo the entire crota's end raid and it'd be a cool thing

    Edit 2: i would just like to add that yes, solo content is not for everyone and thats completely understandable, however this is how some people enjoy the game and as a community we should be supporting that. People who play with others already have multiple high end loot rewards like raids, trials, GM nightfalls, dungeons and iron banner (excluding freelance of course). As solo players we'd like a bit of variety other than a 5 minute lost sector. I've had 2 successful runs of a 1250 one, got a 65 stat mask of bakris. I don't need an 84 stat roll one, so i now have no solo content to do. If they introduced solo dungeons etc it would give us more incentive to play

    Trials Falls Under 100k

    According to DestinyTrialsReport, trials hit an all time low of 99,079 players for this weekend, dropping close to 10k players from the previous weekend.

    Bungie are you guys going to make some changes to the playlist? The loot is trash. Flawless loot sucks. Casuals cant even get the loot so they dont bother. Tons of recovs and cheaters. Please do something bungie.

    Given the negativity around PvP right now, if next season's only aspirational activity/refresh is trials, things are going to get a lot more negative around here before they get better.

    Sort of just a PSA/observation. Given that season of the hunt was a really weak season and has been carried by beyond light content (outside of the crow's cool story), this sub could be saltier than its been in a long while if next season is on par with this one and only offers new trials loot for aspirational content.

    I’m Baffled At The Crucible

    How did Bungie go from Halo (which had a massive selection of multiplayer game modes) go to Destiny where everything is a slight variant of Team Deathmatch?

    Where's the modes from D1 like combined arms (big maps with pikes and interceptors) and Rift?

    How come Destiny doesn't have Oddball from Halo, King of the Hill, Invasion from Halo Reach, Infection, Big Team Battle, and so on.

    Crucible needs variety in the game modes because it's really boring having team deathmatch just in different ways.

    If you want to go to the reservoir after the collecting the 100 feathers, don't be an idiot like me and try going through the mission itself, or try going through the chimney again.

    If you go one floor above the chimney, there's an open door which allows you to loop back to the outside section again. From there, don't head over to the fallen tree. Instead, go through the tunnel (the one normally closed during the mission). After this you encounter a small jumping section and then a part of the mission. After you finish the boss room in the reservoir, you can continue on to the hangar. The Hawk will be waiting there for you on the ship.

    I definitely didn't run around for 15 minutes like a headless chicken figuring out how this worked, trust me.

    Please add powerful friends type mods for Titan and Warlock class ability cooldowns. Hunters have flat 20 point advantage when making their builds.

    This is not a hunter hate post. I'm not calling for a nerf to powerful friends, I love that type of accessibility, I just wish my my other characters could have similar benefits.

    I mostly play Titan, I've been trying to hit 100 recov and 100 resil for the past few seasons and I just can't find the right stat distributions, even when using sunset armor I saved. The fact that I can so easily hit 100 mobility and 100 recov (non sunset) on my hunter that I rarely play is nice, but there's a clear advantage there.

    The elephant in the room is how to handle +20 recovery for warlocks. I've heard some people say they think that type of mod would be too OP. But at the end of the day, our armor only lasts a year, and the 20 point wiggle room would go a long way and honestly help ease one of the pain points of sunsetting, and mitigate RNG. And think about it this way, most people shoot for 100 recov in PvP anyways, and you can't go over 100, so that just means if you're already at 100 you can swap out some of those recovery mods for something else.

    2021 Confirmation: Rat King Catalyst still drops from Nightfalls

    I've been trying to get it to drop for the last few weeks with no success.
    Heard talks of a potential "Soft-cap" on catalyst drops when you have too many unfinished.

    Spent the week completing 3 open catalysts, then queued up for 1220 NF. Dropped immediately after completion.

    Just wanted to make a post this year for anyone else in the future looking for guidance.

    The animated portion of the shader seems to be strictly the purple portion. Nothing too fancy, but it's always nice to see some sort of "animated" shader here and there.

    Bungie just in case you didn’t know, slow abilities effect your accuracy so dramatically you could be right on target and it will register as a miss. This does not feel good.

    Destiny has the best feeling gunplay out of any game I've ever played in my opinion. Having an ability almost completely take away your ability to shoot your target feels terrible. If I'm playing hunter I don't even bother trying to get the first shot off, I'll use my melee or dodge and I know I'll win the 1v1 because I just took away a ton of their accuracy.

    It already slows your movement, your abilities, your reload, your ads, flinches you and can eventually freeze you if it's a dusk field, it doesn't need to take away your accuracy to be strong in pvp.

    Like Phase Magazine on old Y1 weapons or seraph rounds on ikelos weapons. Omolons could have Phase magazine back, Hakke could have accuracy ones, so on and so forth

    You can farm Hawkmoon after completing the Bird of Prey Quest

    After completing the quest, you receive 1 Hawkmoon per completion, and do not appear to be restricted to 2 per week per character.

    EDIT: It appears to be either locked to the character you complete the quest on or if you receive a x2 drop you might be locked out on that character for this week.

    I ran it on my hunter first (2 drops) and then ran it on my warlock 3 times. (1 drop each time.) I then ran it on my hunter again (no drop) and then ran it on my warlock. (1 drop.)

    The final boss encounter makes Solo Flawless Harbinger a little easier this week.

    The mechanic is switched up this week. You need to kill two glowing Taken acolytes to get them to drop orbs that you throw at the boss. There aren't nearly as many boopers trying to knock you around, there are no solar Taken knights that can absolutely melt you with the solar burn, and the add saturation in general is WAY easier to manage.

    I also noticed the boss likes to get right up against the small cliff edges, making it easy to shoot down on him while preventing him from hitting you.

    I made 4 attempts at solo flawless last week and had a really difficult time in the final boss room. This week was a breeze comparatively, and I did it on my first try. I didn't even know going in that the paths and encounters had changed a little bit.

    Side note: It's silly this accomplishment doesn't have an emblem. C'mon Bungo!

    I did a 4 hour DSC today with a guided games guy. It was the best raid of my life.

    Genuinely, guided games is so underrated. It gives really nice emblems, lets you see people brighten up as they understand encounters, without the annoyance of LFG teams. You are with some clanmates carrying someone who wants to learn. It was a blast seeing the guy go from not speaking to having enough confidence to do roles.

    It is really fun, and a good way to pass the time. Seriously, if you haven't done a guided games, try. sincerely try, might even queue up with my team :)

    I think we can agree that Fatebringer is one of the guns that defines Destiny. Explosive rounds, outlaw and firefly? Who doesn't love the best synergy Venus can offer?

    HOWEVER,

    in Destiny 2, firefly was replaced with dragonfly. Dragonfly has some serious consistency issues, pretty consistently

    Ignoring the fact that it's much weaker than its predecessor, dragonfly doesn't trigger on every precision kill. This has been an issue for quite some time but hasn't been addressed.

    Now imagine a whole community of veteran players excited to get their beloved fatebringer back. Or new players excited to finally experience it in all its glory. Now imagine how upset they will be to find that it just doesn't fully work sometimes.

    Edit: it was pointed out that FB will likely be getting Firefly, not dragonfly. Firefly also has the same performance issues though so :(

    so when are the 540rpm pulse rifles returning?

    Since BL dropped, you sunset 9 legendary 540rpm pulse rifles and none were left, NONE. i miss using claws of the wolf. i never had the change to use my god roll outlast. my outlaw kill clip roll dropped weeks before BL started so feelsbadman and i never had the change to farm the horror's least after they announced the whole sunset thingy. s13 is less than 2 weeks away, so any 540s coming back or what?

    edit: if any devs are reading this, at least re-issue the time-worn spire for the s13 iron banner

    Could you imagine working for him as one of his researchers? Holy shit. Those that have read the lore know what I'm talking about. This dude was an absolute monster.

    Imagine working in his labs, watching test subjects:

    Mutate from being injected with Radiolarian fluid...

    Or painfully die from ingesting Radiolarian fluid...

    Or witnessing a group have their stomachs rapidly burst, from a pill that contains 10 years worth of nutrients...

    Or sending unknowing volunteers through an untested Vex portal, that causes complete cellular deterioration...

    There's more, but I think that paints a sufficient picture of the atrocities Clovis got up to. Some of those experiments were numbered in the hundreds, meaning he's probably killed thousands of innocent people, and Exos. There's even dialogue that suggests he would force his researchers to submit themselves to his experiments, if they upset him.

    How scary would it be to go to work, knowing by the end of the day you could be a puddle of DNA on the floor, and no one on the outside world would even know about it.

    The raid time stat tracker should only track your quickest FULL completion.

    I just want to be able to actually see what my fastest time is from start to finish. Right now you can load up a final boss check point and get a 5 minute run easily and it will show up as a 5 minute completion in your stat tracker page. This change would also make it so displaying this stat on an emblem would actually mean something.
