We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Big Fireteams' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

Battlegrounds is too long for the rewards, especially at tier 3 for weapons

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 03:15 PM PST

I really like the charge system but for the gear you get it just does not seem worth the time investment

Even with the buffed up runes, all it takes is a bad pull and you're back to square 1 with nothing to show N as lot of wasted time

Armor is also not guaranteed 60+ so it's not even worth trying for IMO

Make a Kiosk near Banshee-44 for mods

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 02:54 PM PST

For new and also for Old Players, mods can be useful. But seeing the same mods every week on Banshee, or waiting days/weeks for him to sell isn't so good. Maybe Bungie can put a Kiosk near him with some little bounties/quest!

Remove Heavy Ammo dropping from random enemies in Gambit, and make Shared Heavy Boxes at 50 Motes and 100 Motes.

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 07:43 AM PST

Having no heavy ammo when the Primeval comes around can be pretty frustrating, so why not make heavy a more guaranteed source?

Spawn a shared heavy box once depositing 50 motes and 100, similar to the ones found in Battlegrounds, which can give up to 30% reserves (20% with no scavenger mods, 25% with 1 Scavenger mod, 30% with 2 scavenger mods).

Furthermore, if Primeval Slayer x4 has been reached and the boss still has over 50% health left, another shared heavy box will spawn. Also, if the enemy team's primeval is already below 50% health when your team spawns in the primeval, 2 shared heavy boxes will spawn instead of 1.

This would mean that the first invasion of Gambit would not have any heavy ammo involved, making it less likely for the teams to have a large mote difference early into the game.

An example of this system would be on the Xenophage. This would look something like this.

No Scavenger mod - 5 shots

    1 Scavenger mod - 6 shots

    2 Scavenger mods - 8 shots

    1 reserve mod - 6 shots

    1 reserve mod + 1 scav mod - 8 shots

    1 reserve mod + 2 scav mods - 9 shots

This means that with only 2 scavenger mods, if every enemy is full health when invading, all 8 shots must be hit to be able to wipe a team, and with 1 reserve and 2 scav mods, 1 shot is added for reserves.

I’m season pass level 160 and not 1 eververse engram has given me anything other than shaders/ghosts/ships ect.

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 09:09 AM PST

They must have seriously nerfed the rates of exotic ornaments as I used to get one maybe every 4-5 eververse engrams but now I've opened maybe 30-40 of them so far and nothing but crap.

If/When Io and Titan come back, Duty Bound and Silicon Neuroma should come back as a single Exotic

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 04:37 PM PST

The two weapons share an almost identical framework. Same stock, same grip, almost the same receiver, the biggest difference on the frame being the foregrip. Think about it. An exotic Auto Rifle, that's perk is being able to become a Sniper Rifle. It'd be unique, and if you make the both of them balanced with no other perks, it won't be broken good or broken bad.

Here they are for comparison. https://imgur.com/a/fycJPQz

Holding reload causes you to swap magazines to a high calibre special ammo, or low calibre primary ammo. As you do so, the barrel extends or retracts, and the zoom on your scope doubles or halves. Let me know if I'm insane or not for this idea. I just saw they were super similar and thought it would be cool.

Battlegrounds loot not worth the time investment.

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 11:34 AM PST

Am I the only one who has spent countless hours in battlegrounds only to be completely screwed over by the disappointing umbral focusing? It's extremely frustrating spending roughly an hour to focus a tier 3 only to not even get the weapon I want.. let alone receiving the perks I want IF I actually manage to get the right weapon.

Am I alone in this frustration?

Regardless of Destiny's issues, the art in this game is completely PHENOMENAL and deserves praise!

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 06:32 AM PST

Just a basic ass appreciation post for an aspect of the game I don't see talked about a lot, it's art and graphics.

I just recently came back after a few years break and played through the Beyond Light campaign and was just so struck by how stunning the Europa is. It is GORGEOUS and I hope the games artists are ridiculously well paid. Lighting team too!

The attention to detail from the little ice flakes blowing off the distant ruined buildings to the snow drifts you carve through the deep snow. To the distant Fallen ships puttering around in the distance or way the sky changes in beautiful subtle ways between night and day. I loved exploring the decommissioned Exo labs too so much detail put into even just rooms that you can't access but can see inside. Not to mention the games downright stunning use of lighting and interior fog to really set the mood. And damn if the textures aren't high as all hell and somehow my shitty PC can run all this at Ultra no problem when I struggle to run the Outriders demo at 30 FPS on medium lol.

I never tire of exploring Destiny's worlds because it's just so damn pretty to look at. I may be just a shallow graphics whore though. Shit I never even tire of looking out over the city from the Tower, there's just something about it.

It's amazing this game's almost 5 years old and yet still looks on par with games in 2021, it's a real testament to how fantastic the games art style is and the talent behind it.

So yeah forgive me for the lame post, I see a lot of hate on Destiny and lots of it rightfully so but I think it's really important to also appreciate the positives. Such as in this case the games gorgeous and immersive art and environmental detail. The gun designs are fantastic as well, so high quality most of them look downright sexy.

Also special mention to the music, just amazing across the board and gives me lots of Halo nostalgia that I can't get enough of.

Feel free to leave what little details or areas of the game have really struck you down below.

The riskrunner with overload rounds absolutely SHREDS in this week's nightfall, even on master

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 10:39 AM PST

I have always been hesitant to use SMG's in master level content but gave it a try this week. With the amount of arc damage and overload champions, you can keep them suppressed for DAYS and tear ads up.

The new Warlock grenades make Spider Tanks completely freak out.

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 03:32 PM PST

    https://youtu.be/ZjvMMnPMwsQ

Edit: This only works if you run up to the tank and throw the grenade under the middle of the body.

I think that there's some kind of issue caused by the grenade floating higher than the bottom of the tank, and all these weird movements are the tank trying to get back to the ground.

Please. Give. Gambit. A. Rotating. Playlist. Like. The. Crucible.

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 11:49 PM PST

Imagine gambit with mayhem. Or even fun modifiers, like heavy weight (just increase the primevil's health) scorched gambit, where if you get invaded you get a scorch cannon and so does the invader. Or gambit battle grounds, were the two teams have a gauntlet to play in and have to bank an amount to get rid of a barrier to proceed and at the end have to shred a primeval.

Edit: a little more thought into that gauntlet type gambit mode-

The whole premise of the mode is two teams of 6, and they traverse through a gauntlet of enemies. Both teams get to make a decision whether they want to 1. Invade the others gauntlet, 2. Send a blocker, or 3. Bank the motes into the barrier to advance to the next wave of enemies. The mode will consist some of the rules of gambit prime, and possibly a new system in place where you can apply negative effects to the enemy team (which would at least cost motes depending on the modifier) the modifier's would consist of:

    • 5-9 motes: increase orange bar enemy spawns/red bar

    • 10-14: decreased ammo drops from equipped weapon

    • 15-19: 10% primeval health (max can be 13%)

    • 20 motes: suppress the enemy team for 10 seconds

The more motes you carry, the more damage you take depending on how much you have, 5-9 it's a 5% increase, 10-14 is 10%, and anything above is 15% increased damage taken. So it's a risk/reward type of system

The invaders, will have increased radar, and will have a mark on the enemy team, so every 6 seconds an X will appear on the enemy team, instead of giving invaders the upper hand and giving them wall hacks. If the enemy team is wiped out once, the invader will be sent back, and will be locked out from invading for 15 seconds.

Players who bank a load of motes will be rewarded with bonuses, like increase ammo drops, an over-shield possibly, or maybe a slight increase on damage for combatants, not invaders.

I know it seems impossible but, it's an idea that'll feel fresh for Gambit.

If the umbral system is going to move forward in later seasons, please use the same method as Season of Arrivals.

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 10:42 AM PST

The system used in Arrival's was near perfect, somewhat casual grind, higher quantity of material used for focusing, and most importantly being rewarded for your work. In each of these points Season of the Chosen has torn down, casual grind to higher need of concentrating just to receive mediocre loot, a SINGLE method to reach a maximum of two charges(with an upgrade) just to focus 2 umbral engrams (weapon/armor focus) , and lastly feeling as if your spoils ment nothing for the time put in.

Let's expand on that last issue, it takes around 10min~ to receive two charges(Three with the medallion, but I haven't gotten three.) , then you have to run that three times to get six, 30 min if you keep constant intervals. Now that you did that(assuming you have enough gold space to run it three times) you can finally target focus tier 3 loot. Issue rises however when A. You get low stat armor/wrong distribution armor, or B. The weapon you focused is a terrible role. This now causes a sense of fatigue from the user; 30 min for mediocre loot is not a fun gameplay wise. While an argument can rise saying "Just keep grinding, you'll get it eventually.", this would completely ignore the fact you are limited to three tiers 3 focusing per week. Now why that cap is there is beyond me, however one thing is certain you just spent 1 hour 40 min~ to(adding time to grind for gold) receive loot that in the long run is not worth your time.

Compared to its older brother Arrivals, the umbral structure there would make going for a God roll fun, while yes the higher umbral drop rate may have contributed to this, it still does not ignore the fact that when you went to cash in you're work you would be rewarded most of the time for less grinding and time. This factor has led to an overall happier experience knowing that the work you put in will be rewarded equally to its output. This system needs to be reintroduced in the coming seasons or the entire integrity of the umbral system would collapse on itself being what Trials was. A former husk of itself.

To conclude, Bungie should follow the "If its not broke don't fix it" system moving forward for the umbral system and change the current system to require less grinding or remove the cap for tier 3 focusing. As always I'm not a game developer, so the things I say may be incredibly hard currently, or just no possible. However if so this would be a nice change hopefully bring more people to like the umbral system moving forward.

Remove world loot from playlist vendors

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 06:18 AM PST

I would love to get crucible or gambit drops only from the vendor rank up packages, especially now that I'm trying to chase playlist weapon rolls. I know the playlist armor doesn't get put into the engrams until it's unlocked so maybe to prevent people from being able to farm only guns from the engrams you can leave the world armor in the loot pool until that piece is unlocked or something.

Minor QoL Request: Please give Pinnacle drops a different color than Powerfuls in the Director

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 03:22 AM PST

The golden star icon for weekly challenges in the Director looks the same for Powerful and Pinnacle drops, making it a little tedious to find out only the Pinnacles once you have reached the Powercap. Can you please differentiate the icons for these different kind of drops, e.g. make the icon for Pinnacles dark orange or red instead of golden.

I know that this is a very nitpicky complaint and shouldn't go high up on Bungie's ToDo list, but I'd be happy if this would be added at some point anyway.

Update Overload Mod on Fully Automatic Guns

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 06:07 AM PST

Bungie, here is a small suggestion regarding overload rounds on smg and assault rifles. Currently it works like where you need to keep constant hits to proc overload rounds on a gun which can be really annoying considering the amount of teleportation an overload champion like the fallen captain does

Instead of the current method why not make it so the full magazine is overload rounds and you need to hit only few bullets to stun them rather than to proc overload rounds first and hope that few overload rounds hit the champion before he teleport.

It would be a great QOL improvement over the current overload mod on SMG and AR.

    Thanks

Shadow Price and buffing Celerity, Bottomless Grief, and 450 Auto Rifles

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 12:18 PM PST

It's been a pretty accepted fact that 450 autos just don't feel great in the current sandbox. That combined with the fact that Shadow Price rolls with "Adept perks" like Celerity and Bottomless Grief presents some other issues. Those "Adept perks" are considered to be pretty bad since they only activate when you're the last living member of your fireteam which is uncontrollable and a negative last resort situation.

It's pretty clear all these things combined show off a lot of issues with all these different aspects of the game. Here's my thoughts on how they should be buffed. (Shouts out to Mercules Massive Weapon Stats spreadsheet)

    Buffing 450's:

Increase the base damage to 20 body 30 Crit from 17 body 27 crit. Make the ideal TTK a 7 shot in .8s and the body shot TTK a 10 shot in 1.2s.

This puts the PVP TTK directly in line with basically every other archetype rather than dragging behind at an 8 shots in .93s ideal ttk/ 12 shots in 1.47s body TTK

    Buffing Celerity/Bottomless Grief:

Activate the perk for 10 seconds when a nearby allied guardian dies. When the last guardian alive, the perk activates and holds at 10s until another guardian is revived in which it starts the count down.

This is inspired from the Vigilance Wing Exotic perk that provides benefits upon friendly guardians dying nearby. Individual guardians dying happens a lot more in PVP and PVE, especially in relation to being the last one alive on a fireteam. 10 seconds should allow it to be used in a pretty generous window when a teammate dies nearby.

Let me know if you agree or if you disagree and think a different route would be better.
