    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 10:02 AM PDT

    Trials of Osiris is LIVE

This thread is for all general discussion, questions, thoughts, musings, wonderings, etc. for the Trials of Osiris.

    FAQ

    What is Trials of Osiris?

    • Trials of Osiris is the pinnacle PvP activity. Every Weekend, the best players compete in 3v3 Elimination for one goal: Go Flawless.

    • To start, head to Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar and buy one of the possible passages (see below).

    • To reach Flawless and get to the Lighthouse, you need to win 7 matches without losing one.

    • It uses Win Based Matchmaking, which means you'll face teams with a similar amount of wins on their card. Matches will get harder as you win more matches.

    • There is NO fireteam matchmaking. You need to team up yourself!

    • Power Level matters, however bonus power from the artifact is not enabled.

How Long do the Trials of Osiris last?

    • Event Starts: Every Friday at Daily Reset (1700 UTC).

    • Event Ends: Following Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).

Where do I go to find Guardians to compete with in the Trials?

    • You can head over to /r/Fireteams, www.The100.io, Xbox LFG system, DestinyLFG.net or DestinyLFG.com, or go to the Bungie.net recruitment forum (also available through the Bungie App).

What if I have a question about another piece of armor/weapon or general Trials question?

    • Use Control + F (Or Command + F if on a Mac) and search for keywords in your question. Someone may have asked it already. If they haven't ask right below.

I feel like gauntlets are a bit oversaturated with mods. We have to choose between reload, dexterity, champion, grenade, and melee mods.

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 12:58 PM PDT

Why were dexterity mods removed from legs?

What if champion mods could be applied to any armor slot to free up some choices?

Similar to charged with light and warmind cells, champion mods could exit as a choice on any armor slot.

Edit #1 Some of you have made a great point. Once unlocked in the Artifact, have Champion mods active from the artifact itself rather than needing to equip them anywhere.

Edit #2 u/Jepeyrot suggested that dexterity and reload mods become one. I agree. Good job.

Make it so players hit IMMUNE!'s on Warmind Cells if they don't have mods equipped.

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 05:59 PM PDT

It's annoying when blueberries shoot your cell immediately as it spawns when you likely had plans for it, and it doesn't even kill that dreg right next to it. I can't count the times I've lost a Gambit match by just a hair, because somebody shot the cell I made while I was waiting for the next wave of spawns. It can be the difference between you getting your invade first, or the enemy dumping multiple blockers on you and invading while you're all still holding motes, wiping you, and snowballing from there. :/

I feel like the functionality is already there. We have the anti-barrier mod on armor that allows you to damage champions with barriers, but hit Immune!'s if you don't. The same thing with Warmind Cells should be possible. Damage numbers if the game detects said mod(s) on your armor, Immune!'s without.

Plus it'd be funny watching them empty their magazine into cells they didn't create to no avail.

With Ada-1 being the transmog vendor, she should also sell unobtainable shaders.

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 02:53 AM PDT

The DCV made lots of great shaders unobtainable (all Leviathan raids, SoTP, Crown, Menagerie, Mars and Mercury, Tangled Shore, etc.). It would be really nice to allow players to obtain them through Ada-1, at a cost relevant to the original source for a shader. For example, Calus' Selected (raid shaders in general) would cost 10 Spoils of Conquest. Menagerie shaders could cost you Nessus planetary materials and an enhancement prism. These may sound like hefty prices, but with the shader changes coming in S14 you will only need to unlock a shader once. Additionally, by making things like raid shaders only purchase-able with Spoils (a currency only found in raids) you can preserve the prestige of a shader.

What do you think of this idea?

Bungie, please, Side-Arms and Hand Canons with Champion mods in the same season. I'm dying to use Sturm and Drang in higher level content.

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 09:17 AM PDT

Using Mida and Mini this season has been fantastic, thank you!

Also, please make more weapon combos like Sturm and Drang and Mida/Mini.

Oh, and also more armour and weapon combos like Thorn and Necrotic Grips, thank you.

When bungie asked what my favorite weapon is

    That's a Loaded Question.

I think it’s finally time we increase weapon and armor inventory sizes.

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 08:10 AM PDT

With each season and expansion adding more and more awesome legendaries and exotics, it has become harder and harder to keep using all the weapons and armors that I love due to inventory management issues. It becomes such a hassle to transfer weapons especially back and forth between characters or my vault that I end up using the same guns over and over instead of playing with other guns. Maybe change from 9 to 12 or 15 slots in each category? Or even a complete UI/system overhaul?

I don't see this talked about much but I feel like I can't be the only one with this problem. Anyone else feel like this is necessary now?

Why Titans will win Guardian Games again - Beating a Raid Boss in Style

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 02:00 PM PDT

With Guardian Games starting next week we thought it was about time to show the sheer power of Titans... again.

Hunters have Nighthawks, Warlocks have Nova Bombs, but us Titans have the MEGA YEET, and we can do it in STYLE!

If 6 Titans can instantly kill a Raid Boss what can a whole community of Titans do to our flag? Remember:

    Titans alone - weak
    Titans together - STRONG.

Why Titans will win Guardian Games - Beating a Raid Boss in Style

This Video completes our Trilogy of Titans vs. Raid Bosses.

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 02:01 PM PDT

Revelry is set to never come back, because it has been replaced with guardian games.

Can you put the sets in eververse please ?

I'll need that warlock chestpiece when transmog arrives.

Really enjoying (solo) Legend Lost Sectors currently

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 07:47 PM PDT

They're fun, unique, rewarding, and just challenging enough. It satisfying tracking them down, checking which ones are up, ticking off exotic armor pieces one by one. I'm also really fond of the prep phase, devising my loadout before committing.

I think the burns are a big part of why I like the loadout crafting in this activity. They push me towards different guns in each LS and I get rewarded handsomely with extra damage. Just farmed a Mask of Bakris using Le Monarque, of all things, as my main weapon. Applying Champion mods to exotic weapons is the best change in recent memory.

I started using it at the end of Season 11 when I farmed for the Platinum Starling. In that one month I got the first 6276 kills with the Ghoul. Since then it has been my go to backup weapon for the past 5 months and I finally reached 15,000.

    Warden of Nothing Grandmaster Tip

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 07:04 AM PDT

Hey, figured this was the best place to put this tip to get the word out, but fun fact about Stasis Glacier Grenades and the exotic grenade launcher, Salvation's Grip: The ice walls either of them make can indeed be used for cover during the Warden's AoE Fire Rage attack. They do count as terrain that blocks sight of the Warden's Servitor and do not take damage from the AoE itself, though they can still break from guardians and other enemies during that time.

So if you need a little extra breathing room for roughly 10 seconds from all the ads, this can give you space or allow you to wall off an allies ghost that's just in AoE outside of actual terrain cover and safely revive them. I also (attempted to) test whether putting the walls closer would result in more coverage, or even potentially negating the AoE in a larger area, but it seems to be very limited in that regard.

Anyways, that's all I had to share before WoN becomes a GM next week. Have fun getting you're Gilded titles, Conquerors.

Vesper of Radius used to have the ability to be a real lifesaver occasionally. However, since the ‘fix’ it has become even more difficult to find a good use for it.

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 07:02 AM PDT

I know probably very few people care about this niche exotic, but I've grown very fond of it in combination with stasis.

Here's what's wrong: in order to stop the exploit where you could spawn the Vesper shockwave without using the rift from happening, Bungie delayed the shockwave from happening until the rift is actually placed instead of when you start casting it.

They did this instead of fixing the rift 'whiff' that happens when you use the rift while gliding off a surface.

As a result from this fix, Vesper of Radius now has become even more difficult to use.

It has limited range, so you need to be near enemies to make use of it's effect, but now you also have to wait a moment before it does anything. Just enough time for me to be meleed to death in a legendary/master lost sector for example.

The utility to use Vesper in order to save yourself when you were in a tight spot is now almost completely gone.

Please find a way to fix this. For example; register sooner if the rift is going to actually be placed or not.

I hope VoG's Master difficulty rewards us with an ornament for Vex Mythoclast like Prestige Leviathan did for Acrius.

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 01:29 PM PDT

It could be Chronoshot, it could be something completely different. It would just be nice to not have an exotic ornanent obtainable through eververse.

    Mod Components Farm

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 09:42 PM PDT

Today, Banshee is selling powerful friends again, and this is how I got the amount of mod components I needed, it is MUCH faster than completing bounties.

Step 1: Put all your energy weapons in the vault.

Step 2: go to collections > weapons > special > shotguns

Step 3: Reacquire the Requirem-43 shotgun 9 times

Step 4: Dismantle all 9 of them.

Step 5: Repeat until you get the amount of mod components you need.

As a Hunter main, I only want Hunters to win guardian games just so I can watch the fallout.

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 11:16 AM PDT

I can see it now, content creators making video's trying to rally titans. Titans again trying to convince warlocks to help them win so the hunters don't win. Warlocks telling them to take a hike. And all the while hunters casually chill in the hanger wondering what all the noise is about and where the loot is.
