    Trials of Osiris is LIVE

This thread is for all general discussion, questions, thoughts, musings, wonderings, etc. for the Trials of Osiris.

    FAQ

    What is Trials of Osiris?

    • Trials of Osiris is the pinnacle PvP activity. Every Weekend, the best players compete in 3v3 Elimination for one goal: Go Flawless.

    • To start, head to Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar and buy one of the possible passages (see below).

    • To reach Flawless and get to the Lighthouse, you need to win 7 matches without losing one.

    • It uses Win Based Matchmaking, which means you'll face teams with a similar amount of wins on their card. Matches will get harder as you win more matches.

    • There is NO fireteam matchmaking. You need to team up yourself!

    • Power Level matters, however bonus power from the artifact is not enabled.

How Long do the Trials of Osiris last?

    • Event Starts: Every Friday at Daily Reset (1700 UTC).

    • Event Ends: Following Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).

Where do I go to find Guardians to compete with in the Trials?

    • You can head over to /r/Fireteams, www.The100.io, Xbox LFG system, DestinyLFG.net or DestinyLFG.com, or go to the Bungie.net recruitment forum (also available through the Bungie App).

What if I have a question about another piece of armor/weapon or general Trials question?

    • Use Control + F (Or Command + F if on a Mac) and search for keywords in your question. Someone may have asked it already. If they haven't ask right below.

Bungie, if I Block with Sentinel mid-super Stasis should not be able to go trough the shield and slow/freeze me.

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 09:47 AM PDT

It even states in the Lore of Mid-tree Sentinel that „I am the Wall, against which the Darkness breaks". But in fact, it goes through like a hot knife through butter.

    Edit: Typos

Edit 2: Thx for the Awards, Guardians.

Edit 3: Guys, chill with the awards. Pls don't spend any money for that.

Now that Falling Guillotine has had it's heavy attack cost 6 ammo, please reduce the cost of heavy attacks for Caster Frames

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 10:24 AM PDT

Caster Frames just feel really bad currently due to the cost of it, and I know Black Talon already has reduced cost (and Exotics are supposed to be unique from their Legendary counterparts), but the ammo cost in Caster Frames is just too much currently.

The tower should have a notice board that lists all of the weekly and daily reset info!

Would be really nice having all the information in one spot in game :)

Europa got no gambit maps, no crucible maps, only 1 strike, no dungeons, and no free roam PVE activity like blind well or altars of sorrow...

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 01:38 AM PDT

I say we could use more, it saddens me to see this planet SATTELITE way more underused than it deserves...

Maybe next season could be a good excuse to add some of these, Bungo?

Some of my own ideas include : the exo challenge "protection" but bigger and way more ads, in a patrol area so anyone can join, finishing one would grant a daily curated roll on one Europa weapon

Full List of Unreleased and Cut Content in Destiny 2 (As of now)

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 11:10 AM PDT

Greetings, everybody! My name is Arch! And this is the culmination of about four hours of staring straight at a screen, typing, and formatting! ...some breaks needed to be taken for headaches.

Some of you MAY remember a few years back (2017? Where did time go? Does anyone actually remember that?), I released a list of unreleased and cut content in Destiny 1 prior to the reveal of Age of Triumph. Well, with the return of VoG (again) around the corner, I figured I'd finally take the time to put together a list for Destiny 2 in the same vein. Its a much smaller list this time too! Please feel free to point out anything I've missed, as my brain is just liquid at this point!

Now. I'm going to clarify the exact same thing I specified last time: These were all data-mined at various points in the game's life cycle, Their inclusion in this list does not indicate whether or not they will ever be released. This list is simply the result of a man with WAY too much time on his hands. Enjoy!

The Dreaming City is too good.

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 06:34 PM PDT

I stopped playing before Forsaken came out. Used to play here and there a bit but didnt properly get back into the game. Around January there was a sale on PSN in which I bought Forsaken, Shadowkeep and Beyond Light.

Whilst playing Forsaken, I told myself I'm not going to go to the Dreaming City because you unlock that near the end of Forsaken even though I've been there once or twice before I started Forsaken.

Ever since I finished Forsaken all I've been doing is just chilling in the Dreaming City and exploring. I've yet to start Shadowkeep and Beyond Light but I cant stay away from the Dreaming City.

The design, the looks, the colour, the atmosphere, the music. Its probably one of the best locations in Destiny. I used to hang around around the spawn area and Blind Well but I've begun exploring the other parts of Dreaming City and man, what a place.

We need to get back D1 tower's ambience back

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 10:33 AM PDT

If you still play D1 sometimes you can feel the difference: chill and slow music... the sound of jumpships passing by... distant echoes from the city... no Rahool and Tess driving me mad...

It doesn't sounds like a big difference but it really is

Astrocyte Verse buff because space magic science

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 08:11 AM PDT

I'm learning about the nervous system in bio class, and just about all of the stuff about the Astrocyte Verse helmet makes sense to me in a sci-fi lore kind of way - very cool how Bungie ties it together. Astrocytes are cells that make up 90% of tissue in some parts of the brain, and they cover the entire brain surface, for example. So calling the helmet the Astrocyte Verse like it is its own universe of sorts, and saying it turns your head into the pure, raw stuff of thought is mind-blowing (no pun intended lol).

I do think the exotic perk name could be changed from Move to Survive to Astrocytosis since that is an actual thing that happens with astrocytes in the brain which I will explain in a moment, and the perks all center around this brain theme as opposed to movement themes. Blink is a movement ability, but it's a space-time thing that with this helmet is being enhanced by a space magic interaction with the brain, so Move To Survive is a weird name - unless we apply my one of my next points about astrocytosis which would kind of level it off. I also think AV could reasonably stand to have some damage resistance added when the user is in critical health status (lore-wise, at least) which I'll explain below.

    • One practical reason for damage resistance is that Blink does a weird thing with the hitbox in that it does not, afaik, truly move the hitbox, so you can die to being shot where you were when the Blink started - but apparently Bungie will not or cannot change that (I'm not a dev, no judgment). I think a good compromise could be to add an exotic means to incorporate damage resistance since Blink has what I perceive as a peculiar weakness. Use your exotic armor slot to go all-in on Blink, probably not going to be game-breaking in my estimation as my understanding is that Blink is just alright with AV as-is anyway. However, in the interest of intellectual honesty, I am a warlock main (when I have time to play, 16 credit hours :') ), so I could be unconsciously biased in my assessment.
      • This damage resistance would only apply while in critical health status, so it cannot be used during normal Blink - a shotgun in PVP is still going to shutdown a bad Blink. It would enable some risky plays with a careful management of Blink cooldown and spatial awareness for escapes, perhaps forgive some mistakes - the question of how much damage resistance might be appropriate, I am not sure. Maybe 15% like Wings of Sacred Dawn? Maybe more since the activation requirement is only during Blink and only while already at critical health (70hp or less, iirc)? Perhaps this percentage would be different between PVE and PVP.
        • This critical health status requirement is also where the Move To Survive name starts to make sense if Blink adds damage resistance. Otherwise, what does Move To Survive in the current state of AV do to benefit survival per se? Nothing active, it's all passive perks, so it's a minor nuance that is like a rock in my shoe - it just bugs me lol.
    • The second reason for DR is biology based, and very fascinating to me from a potential sci-fi lore standpoint. IRL, when neurons are damaged, astrocytes form hardened scar tissue to fill the space formerly occupied by the damaged neurons. This process is called astrocytosis. This is what makes me think of damage resistance during Blink while a user is critically wounded. A little space magic powered by the Light mixing with things, and badda bing, badda boom (astro-light-osis?).
      • I imagine it like our space magic powers combined with the AV helmet to cause the empowered astrocytes to not only form hardened scar tissue for our neurons, but during Blink they interact with our damaged shield to grant us the damage resistance. Perhaps it could last until our weapons are ready, or until health regen begins, or until our shield is no longer broken. Probably a cooldown on the frequency of activating the damage resistance would be necessary depending on how it all worked.

I am thoroughly impressed by the lore writings in this game, and the way some of the abilities flesh out in the game. Just wanted to give my two cents about one of my favorites because I happen to be studying about relevant material in college classes currently. I do not know how complicated it would be to implement or what might be challenging balance-wise, etc. - I just thought it was a cool idea. Thanks for reading.

TL;DR - Astrocyte Verse could grant minor damage resistance to the user, while in critical health, during Blink, because space magic science.

    I actually miss The Forges.

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 08:12 PM PDT

For me, the Forges were fun. Even though it was full of afk players (and rude players), they were a lot of fun. Plus. Forges also had very awesome animated shaders.

What the hell is going on in the story?

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 11:52 PM PDT

I've seen a lot of people asking this question, so I thought I'd write up a summary for everything thats happened in the "main plot" since Forsaken. It's a long read but a LOT has happened so... enjoy.

EDIT: Thanks for all the awards. I wrote this for a New Light who hadnt played since Forsaken and was looking for what order to do things in. I purposely skipped the Shin Malphur stuff because it's not really relevant to whats going on and kinda came to an end with the Lumina quest.

EDIT2: Corrected a minor mistake and added season numbers by request. Seasons 1-3 were not named and contained no story elements save for their respective campaigns: Red War, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind respectively.

EDIT3: By popular demand, I've added a section for the Shadowkeep campaign under spoiler tags.

EDIT4: Hunt and Chosen summaries added as well.

    Story recap: Forsaken to now.

[Season 4] Season of The Outlaw

Uldren Sov's death leads us to the events of the Last Wish Raid. Upon killing Riven, the Dreaming City is cursed to become more and more Taken. For three weeks on the instruction of the Techeuns freed from Taken control in the raid, we charge the Blind Well by battling Taken inside it and feeding it their paracausal energy. We begin to receive messages from Mara Sov through the Oracle Engine by giving it offerings found in the Blind Well. On the third week Mara opens a portal in the Oracle Engine and we met with her directly. We learn of a great battle she is fighting elsewhere and the pieces she hopes to move into place to deal with it. With the well fully charged, the Techeuns rip open a portal to the Shattered Throne where we find a hive wizard called Dul Incaru, daughter of Savathun. In killing Dul Incaru, through some process we don't fully understand yet, the Dreaming City rolls backward in time three weeks and the cycle begins again. A few loops in we get a vision of Uldren Sov being found by a Ghost and resurrected as a Guardian. Mara shares many conversations with us and we learn that the Pyramid ships seen in the post credits of the vanilla campaign are coming. After a final message, she leaves and has not been seen since.

[Season 5] Season of The Forge (Black Armory)

Our Guardian is contacted by Spider. He informs us that his brother, a Fallen by the name of Siviks, was among the escapees from the Prison of Elders. Siviks has formed a rival crime syndicate and they have located Golden Age tech in the wreckage of the Exodus Black on Nessus. This Forge belonged to the Black Armory, a secret weapons manufacturer founded by representatives of three families: Helga Rasmussen, Henriette Meyrin, and Yuki Satou. Spider gives you a key that will open a secret Black Armory holdout located in the Tower. Upon opening the door you're greeted very coldly by a female Exo called Ada-1. She does not immediately trust Guardians due to some particularly traumatizing events from her past. We spend the next few weeks locating and reactivating the four Forges and utilizing them to forge new Black Armory weapons. Eventually Ada informs us about the location of a Black Armory Vault located under the City itself. This leads us to the Scourge of the Past Raid. During the Raid we learn that Siviks has already pillaged the Vault and used the plans found in the Black Armory Papers to build a battle mech called Insurrection Prime. We deal with the mech but Siviks gets away. We eventually catch up to him while constructing the frame for the Exotic Sniper Izanagi's Burden. After killing Siviks, we recover a component of Ada-1 which allows her to become a living Forge.

[Season 6] Season of The Drifter (Joker's Wild)

Drifter evolves his Gambit scheme into a new perfected version and allows helps us fashion new armor to take advantage of it. Along the way we get visions given to us by The Nine via Xur of Drifter's past with an Awoken guardian called Orrin. We learn that Drifter's Derelict is hauling a piece of the Realm of The Nine which was given to him by The Nine directly via their Emissary. He sends us into the Haul to deal with Taken Echoes of Oryx and Nokris in the Reckoning event. Along the way we learn that Orrin became the Emissary of The Nine. Eventually we get a mysterious transmission with Fallen encryption which leads to a rendezvous with Mithrax, the Fallen Captain we saved on Titan. It turns out he has been working with the Vanguard and has learned of a plot by a Fallen pirate called Eramis to break into the Cryptarch Vault in the Tower and steal the Outbreak Prime which we constructed using technology from the Wrath of The Machine raid in D1. Eramis wants to use its Siva nanites to create new splicers and gain favor with what remains of the House of Devils. We work with Mithrax to get into the vault, but Eramis' Captain has already stolen it. We finally catch up to him and take it back gaining the Outbreak Perfected exotic. At the end of the season Drifter is shown a vision of things to come, a vision of the Pyramid ships arriving in our solar system.

[Season 7] Season of Opulence (Penumbra)

Emporer Calus invites us to The Leviathan via his Frames, Benedict 99-40 and Werner 99-40. We find his barge on Nessus and he gives us a chalice and allows us entry to a space we came to call the Tribute Hall. We spent the season completing various tasks for Calus in his menagerie and being rewarded with statues to place in our trophy room for our efforts. At one point we find our way into the Ascendant Realm and meet Toland who helps us earn the exotic pulse rifle Bad Juju. Eventually we learned of a Hive artifact that Calus had discovered out in space that he believed would allow him to control The Hive. He bred a Gladiator, Gahlran, for the express purpose of wearing the Crown of Sorrow, but instead it drove him mad. Calus tasked us with dealing with Gahlran which led to the Crown of Sorrow raid. Upon killing Gahlran, Calus named us his Shadow of Earth and declared that the end is coming and we two will be the last living things in the universe.

    Shadowkeep

Eris Morn has been working for Ikora as one of her Hidden since the events of the Taken War. She left the Tower shortly before the Cabal attacked and was involved in a covert operation to investigate Hive activity on Luna. While exploring the tunnels where long ago she lost her fireteam, she happens upon a long buried threat. Brushing her hand across it seems to activate some sort of response and she begins to be haunted by visions of her deceased fireteam members. The Vanguard sends us to investigate where we discover a buried ship of the Black Fleet. It emits a field that wont allow us to get near it and summons forth visions of our past conquests. Namely, Crota, Ghaul, and Fikrul. Eris pulls us out and suggests that we find a way inside the pyramid to get to the heart of the problem. Nightmares begin showing up in Lost Sectors and all over the moon. We set about hunting the Nightmares of our previous traumas and forging their essences into pieces of Dreambane armor which has the uncanny ability to resist the effect of the Pyramid. Along the way we deal with two of Crota's daughters: Hashladun in the Scarlet Keep and Besurith when recovering the Lecturn which allows us to forge the Nightmare Essences. Ultimately, we pass the barrier and are pulled directly into the Pyramid. The entity we have come to call The Winnower begins to speak to us through our Ghost. It leads us to a statue at the heart of the ship where we find a strange artifact. Upon touching it we see a vision of the Black Garden and the Winnower speaks to us directly using our own appearance to convey the message. It claims to be our Salvation. In the weeks that follow we find mementos from Eris' fireteam and bring them to Eris. She comes to terms with their deaths and her Nightmares of them begin to recede. Some weeks later The Hive begin a strange ritual in Sorrow's Harbor. After investigating we find the entrance to the Pit of Heresy deep beneath the Scarlet Keep. We deal with the Hive Champion Zulmak and recover the remains of Omar Agah, one of Eris' fireteam members whose Light had been ripped out. He was reduced to a half-living insect like creature. Upon his own desire, Eris implants him into his machine gun and gives it to us that we may use it to destroy the Hive that did this to him. The Xenoohage remains one of the most powerful weapons in our arsenal. The artifact pulled from the Pyramid begins to emit a signal. We follow it to its source and find a buried Vex portal northeast of Sorrow's Harbor that leads to the Black Garden.

The postgame of Shadowkeep leads into the Garden of Salvation raid where we deal with Vex from the Sol Divisive, the same faction who were worshiping The Darkness in the Black Garden at the end of D1. To get into the Black Garden of course, we needed a charged Gatelord's Eye. It turns out, the Cryptarchs had recovered the one we charged in D1 and Master Rahool gave it back to us. This functioned as the seasonal artifact.

[Season 8] Season of The Undying

The moment Guardians entered the Black Garden through the portal on Luna, the Vex retaliated by attacking sites on the moon itself. This led us to the Vex offensive where we learned that the Undying Mind was attempting to summon back the Black Heart that we killed at the end of D1. Ikora came up with a plan to use pieces of Vex themselves to construct a portal to the location of the Undying Mind and kill it in every possible timeline at the same time. Over the next several weeks she oversaw the construction of the portal in the Tower. It was eventually transmatted into the Black Garden and the Undying Mind was summoned. Hundreds of Guardians killed the Undying Mind over and over again until it was dead in every possible timeline.

    [Season 9] Season of Dawn

The Warlock Osiris had been searching for a way to save Saint-14 from his death at the hands of the Vex. Osiris knew that Saint's body lay in the Infinite Forest, but he could never find a way to save him for real. Osiris created a working time machine utilizing what he learned of the Vex technology inside the Infinite Forest. It never worked because there were so many branching possible timelines, and he could never find the right one. But our killing of every instance of the Undying Mind created a focal point in time that his Sundial could tap into via the Infinite Forest and actually manipulate time. The Red Legion learned of this and tried to use the Sundial to change the outcome of the Red War. Osiris gives us a lantern which serves as the seasonal artifact. We dealt with the red legion and learned that the masterminds of this plot were four Psion sisters. Over the course of the season we found Saint and killed the Mind that was supposed to kill him, fulfilling the prophecy of the Perfect Paradox from Curse of Osiris way back in season 2. Saint left the Infinite forest and made his way to The Tower. We ultimately charged the Sundial to enter the Corridors of Time and deal with three of the four sisters, who had melded their minds together into a single giant Psion boss. The fourth fled. We also, through exploring the Corridors, happened upon a future moment where our Guardian has died our final death and Saint himself is giving our eulogy. We have been buried with the Bastian exotic fusion rifle, which we recover from our own grave and keep in the present time.

[Season 10] Season of the Worthy

Saint-14 restarts the Trials of Osiris and becomes its vendor. We use Osiris' lantern to light the fires on Mercury at the opening ceremony of the Trials. Meanwhile, Rasputin detects the Black Fleet on the edge of our solar system. He gives us a Warmind Khanjali which serves as the seasonal artifact and allows us access to bunkers on key destinations and sets up seraph towers for us to charge and restore his fragmented mind to his full Golden Age power. As the Black Fleet creeps ever closer, the final Psion sister takes over the remains of the Almighty left over from the Red War. She puts it on a collision course with Earth and aims it right at the Last City. Along the course of the season we learn the history of the Iron Lord Felwinter and his relationship to Rasputin. At the conclusion of that sequence we gain the notorious Felwinter's Lie shotgun. On the final day of the season we witness a fully powered Rasputin blow the remains of the Almighty out of the sky. We watch it's wreckage crash behind the Tower in Destiny's first ever live event.

    [Season 11] Season of Arrivals

The Black Fleet finally arrives in the system. They position ships on Io, Mercury, Mars, and Titan. Upon arriving the first thing they do is attack Rasputin and shut him off completely. The fully powered Warmind is defeated effortlessly in an instant. Anna Bray manages to save a fragment of him in an engram. She is currently working to revive him. Ada-1 leaves the Tower, vowing to reinvent the Black Armory. She also lends her services to the efforts to evacuate the occupied planets. Beneath the Pyramid Ship on Io in the cradle, the last place the Traveler touched, a mysterious tree grows. Eris leads us to it and begins receiving messages from The Darkness. The Hive God Savathun tries to interfere and prevent us from hearing what The Darkness has to say. On instructions from The Darkness itself, Eris helps us take wood from the tree and fashion it into a weapon. This weapon becomes the exotic trace rifle Ruinous Effigy. A seed from the tree serves as the seasonal artifact. Meanwhile Drifter suggests that we seek an audience with The Nine. He and Eris accompany us on comms as we make our way through the Prophecy dungeon to learn whether or not the Darkness is truly evil. This content is still playable from the Tower, but the context in which it was presented is important for understanding its narrative. At the end of the season in Destiny's second live event, The Traveler healed itself while we watched from the Tower and pushed back the Black Fleet. But The Darkness consumed those planets which were occupied by ships. Asher Mir and Brother Vance are both killed. The former enters the Pyramidion in revenge for his arm, and the latter seals the Infinite Forest from within, trapping himself inside forever. Calus flees Nessus in his Leviathan. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Sloan's fate is left unresolved, though she chose to stay behind. Anna Bray with what remains of the Warmind Rasputin flee Mars. While no longer a vendor, she remains the only one to make it back to the safety of the Tower.

    Beyond Light

The events of the Beyond Light campaign then play out. This is the current "expansion." Eramis has organized the remains of the Devils and Dusk into the House of Salvation in opposition to Mithrax's newly formed House of Light. From the members of the Kell's Scourge, Salvation has learned the plans from Insurrection Prime to make new battlemechs called Brigs. They unleash them on Europa...

[Season 12] Season of The Hunt

We learn of a plot by Xivu Arath to corrupt herself an army of Fallen and Cabal. By placing strange totems called Cryptoliths in the Dreaming City and the Tangled Shore, she can channel some kind of force that overtakes the will of those in close proximity to it. Osiris has been investigating this development while we were dealing with Eramis on Europa. He sends us a fang of Xivu Arath to serve as the seasonal artifact. His Ghost Sagira is caught unawares by a massive Hive Knight and is tragically destroyed. Osiris vows revenve and goes to the Moon to confront the High Celebrant. We arrive in time to see him fall to the knight but a strange Hunter steps out of the shadows and saves Osiris' life. This is our Guardian's first meeting with Crow, the newly risen Guardian formerly known as Uldren Sov. We learn that he has been in the care and employ of Spider, who has implanted a bomb in the shell of his Ghost Glint so that he doesnt stray too far. CXrow has built a lure to attract Wrathborn to the Cryptoliths and make them easier to destroy. We spend the next several weeks working with Crow and Spider to hunt down and destroy Xivu Arath's Wrathborn as they are corrupted by the cryptoliths. Finally we catch up to the High Celebrant and follow it through the Ascendant realm where Crow helps us destroy it for good. As thanks for dealing with the Wrathborn, Spider declares that we may have anything we wish from him as compensation. We choose Crow. Spider begrudgingly removes Glint's bomb and allows Crow to leave. The newly Ghostless Osiris becomes an advisor to Zavala and Crow becomes a full fledged Guardian, though Osiris chooses not to reveal his true identity to Zavala and has him wear a mask to hide his face. Crow still has yet to learn the truth. He only knows that Guardians will and have killed him on the spot without a second glance if he shows his face. He's kept mostly to his own and has serious trust issues up to this point.

[Season 13] Season of the Chosen

This is the current season. Calus' estranged daughter has declared herself Empress and comes to seek an alliance with us to fight Xivu Arath, Savathun's sister who has destroyed the Cabal homeworld. She does not intend for us to be equals. Meanwhile, a newly emerging group of Psions have taken up the fourth sister's mission of revenge on the Vanguard for their role in the Sundial plot and the outcome of the Red War.Caiatl invokes an ancient Cabal rite to gain generals for her war council. With the help of Saladin and Osiris we take part and slowly make our way through each of her would-be champions. We take the bell of conquests from the first one that we fell as our artifact for the season. While on the EDZ we find the distress signal of a Guardian coming from somewhere in the vicinity of where Mars used to be. Osiris sends us to investigate and we find the Glykon, a Cabal ship that was involved in a plot by Emporer Calus to use the Crown of Sorrow on a Scorn exposed to the Darkness in the Anomaly in order to commune with The Winnower. Our mysterious Guardian was a Hunter named Katabasis who defected to Calus' Loyalists and took the title Shadow of Earth more seriously than some other Guardians. We recover his Scout rifle the Dead Man's Tale and begin making exploratory outings on the ship. The full breadth of this plot is yet to reveal itself, but each week the Glykon yields more of its secrets. Meanwhile the first of two assassination attempts are made on Zavala by Psions. They have miniaturized Ghaul's Traveler blocking tech use during the Red War and use it to incapacitate Zavala's Ghost, Targe. The first attempt on Zavala's life is thwarted by Crow though he manages to remain hidden. Osiris and Zavala finally come to the conclusion that to resolve the conflict with Zavala we must invoke the Cabal Rite of Proving. This trial by combat must by Cabal law be honored. Caiatl accepts on the grounds that if her champion wins, we join her Cabal and Zavala takes the title Bracus. We board her land tank and destroy her champion. She finally accepts an armistice and meets with Zavala to finalize the terms. This is where a second attempt is made on Zavala's life. Crow saves him once again though this time his mask comes off. Zavala comes to terms with Crow's identity though not before expressing his distaste that we and Osiris and even Ikora kept this secret from him. The traitor Psion is revealed to be working for a faction called the Conclave not affiliated with the main Cabal. Their stated goal is revenge for the Vanguard's role in the deaths of the flayers in Season of Dawn. For now, we have a shaky ceasefire with Caiatl's forces, but who knows how long the peace will last...

Do Telesto shots stick to nova bombs?

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 09:31 AM PDT

Warlocks, I have a FOR SCIENCE for you!

I have a theory that Telesto shots will travel with the nova bomb, but cluster in the center of it rather than sticking to the outside (if they stick at all).

However, I only have a Titan. So, warlocks, FOR SCIENCE, what happens when a friendly teammate fires Telesto shots at your nova bomb?

    EDIT: SCIENCE HAS RESPONDED https://reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/mnl2j7/_/gtycw1q/?context=1

    EDIT2: NEW TELESTO BUG https://i.imgur.com/rNmx9Fo.mp4

EDIT3: Hunters, if you want to get in on the fun, if you-or-teammate hit your tether with Telesto bolts right before it lands on a wall, does the tether go invisible and stay invisible, to you and/or teammates and/or the other team? Does the tether still make sound? Does it still capture enemies? Does it pass through the wall and hit whatever's on the other side?

Bungie Why does Thundercrash get Frozen

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 06:25 PM PDT

I will never forgive them for allowing thundercrash to be frozen. It's..... Obscene. My shut down super gets shut down just when behemoth heavy slams. It gets shut down by warlock melee. It gets shut down by warlock heavy ice missiles. It gets shut down by all stasis grenades. It gets shut down by Silence and Squall. Sitting on the floor mid super animation waiting to die..... It would be like if locks could have their nova bomb frozen. absolutely obscene. Please remove freezing on Thundercrash.

I know there are many posts like this one, but I really wanted to say that I finally got done my first ever solo flawless Prophecy run!

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 06:39 AM PDT

First of all, i want to thank all guardians that aided me during this journey answering any kind of question I asked about this run.

Second, I got this done on my Hunter. If anyone is interested I can do another one of those posts that explain how to complete this challenge on a specific class, tell me if you need it! The difference from the other ones you can find obviously is the loadout which usually changes between seasons.

And... there isn't much more to it. It was a fun, at times frustrating, challenge that left me really satisfied of getting it done and made me appreciate more the depth of the loadouts system, since every mod i had was a small puzzle piece that helped me get to the finale of this journey.

K1 Revelation has to be most fanatically defended LS on Luna. Undying+lore guardians: WTH is/was hidden there for the Fallen to hold it down so aggressively?

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 10:11 AM PDT

    • Trip and slow mines
    • Vandals with laser-guided tracking shots
    • Barrier Servitors with unlimited tether and who can escape tracking rockets
    • Overload Captains just.. overloading
    • Overload Captain's solar bro as the final boss muttering Elksni trash talk the whole time (need CC translations Bungie!)

and that's just from the Master version this week. I understand Luna is a D1 reprise but with that much firepower I'm expecting something worth defending besides a ghost trace a and few cores.

What's the point to trigger Mercy rule when one team just has 10 point left to goal?

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 03:46 PM PDT

Seems like there is three bar in the Mercy rule, when a team reach around 50,80 and 130 while the other team is 40-50 points behind, it will trigger the Mercy rule.

Now we're just having more Mercy game than normally finished matches. Especially Iron Banner

Gambit enemies lag worse than crucible enemies

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 05:11 PM PDT

4 games in a row in which my Chaos Reach is hitting people directly and it'll only kill maybe 1/4 times, i've clipped it all. Gambit has insufferable enemy lag paired with the teleporting AI

If the returning Vault of Glass weapons are going to have random rolls, please also offer CURATED versions that mimic the original Destiny 1 perk combos that have a chance drop alongside a random roll.

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 10:04 AM PDT

    • Similar to the Last Wish raid offering a curated and random rolls 'Nation of Beasts HC', enable random rolls for the VoG weapons but also create an additional, curated version that mimics the OG perk combos.

    For Example:

    • Fatebringer:

      • Explosive Rounds
      • Firefly (D2's Ace of Spades Version that has Outlaw built into it.)
    • Vision of Confluence

      • Full Auto
      • Zen Moment
    • Atheon's Epilogue

      • Dynamic Sway Reduction (a.k.a D1's 'Persistence' Perk Replacement)
      • High Impact Reserves (a.k.a. D1's 'Glass Half Full' Perk Replacement, just not as effective)
      • Side Note for Bungie: This better be the first 900 RPM Legendary Auto Rifle in Destiny 2. DO NOT reduce the fire rate to 720 RPM or turn this into an SMG
    • Found Verdict

      • Full Auto
      • High Impact Reserves (a.k.a. D1's Final Round Perk Replacement, but no where near as good.)
    • Praedyth's Revenge

      • Dragonfly
      • Feeding Frenzy
    • Hezen Vengeance

      • Tripod (May be replaced with Clown Cartridge)
      • Cluster Bombs (a.k.a. D1's 'MIRV Mini' Perk Replacement)
    • Praedyth's Timepiece

      • Headseeker
      • Secret Round (No D2 replacement, may be replaced with a different perk)

Just got 5 friends to try Destiny for the first time.

    Posted: 09 Apr 2021 10:11 PM PDT

Today i got 5 friend to try destiny out and it went great, we played crucible for hours and they all said they liked it but what more can we do with all of them being F2P?

And 2 of them already said they're going to get Forsaken when it goes on sale again but Beyond Light is still a bit pricey for their budget so i guess i'll have to wait to do a DSC with them.
