This week at Bungie, we dive into the details.

Season of the Chosen has entered its second half. You've faced the Right of Proving on behalf of the Vanguard. In doing so, you've put an end to a growing conflict with Empress Caiatl and her followers. When not preventing wars, you also found time to investigate a distress signal from a ghost ship of sorts in the Presage mission, unraveling the mystery of a missing Guardian and discovering the Dead Man's Tale Exotic Scout Rifle.

Earlier this week, we spent some time with the development team to talk through the creation of Presage, navigating various inspirations behind the activity and scrutinizing screenshots of their work as it went through development. If you missed the stream, don't sweat it. You can watch the full replay here! And don't forget to check out our fresh article covering some behind-the-scenes stories from the team!

Now, we look to the future. We have some fun news about our upcoming Kilts for Kids fundraising event, details on Iron Banner, and a new set of patch notes planned for Season 14, otherwise known as Season of [REDACTED].

    Kilts for Kids 2021

One of the things we're always proud to support are charity initiatives, giving players a chance to be Guardians of the world. This week, the Senior Bungie Foundation Manager Christine Edwards brings some news on the upcoming Kilts for Kids initiative.

Christine: We can hardly believe that we are celebrating ten years of Kilts for Kids, our annual fundraiser that supports Seattle Ronald McDonald House! It is also our Second Annual Kilts for Kids: Stay at Home Edition. We bring you our usual suspects – Christine, Mark, and Forrest – as they highlight how they are supporting their mental health as we all continue to stay safe and socially distanced.

Our hearts continue to go out to the children and families who are battling illness throughout the pandemic, which has left many RMHC families isolated and facing economic hardships during a time when community support means everything to them. Help us achieve our $77,000 goal. Head to the RMHC Donation Page to cast your votes for Team Bungie by donating $10 or more before Friday, April 23 at 5 PM PST. Every $30 donated will pay for a family to stay at the House for one night.

Need a sweeter incentive? Check out these backer rewards* for donating to Kilts for Kids!

*Rewards will not be automatically redeemed, as we must receive donor data from RMHC before reward distribution. An email will be sent to donors at each prize level at the end of the event, no later than Friday, April 30, with further details on redemption of each prize. Some prizes will be delivered later than this date.

**No secrets will be revealed. Bungie employees have the right to refuse answers to any questions that aren't appropriate to answer.

    Iron Futures

It's almost time for the final Iron Banner of Season of the Chosen. This will be your last opportunity to complete the Iron Sharpens Iron Seasonal Challenge, so get in there and smash some heads! If you're also trying to get your Power to 1325 for Grandmaster Nightfalls, don't forget the four Pinnacle-powered weekly bounties that Saladin offers.

    Iron Banner

Start: April 13 at 10:00 AM PST

End: April 20 at 10:00 AM PST

Before we go, we'd like to take a moment to look forward in time. Season of [REDACTED] is coming in a few short weeks, and Saladin has a few new items up his sleeve for you to earn when the new season begins in May.

    Image Linkimgur

A familiar Hand Cannon and Sniper Rifle will be rejoining the fight, but two new weapons are also making their debut. Our goals moving forward are to continue bringing some Year-1 weapons up to speed with random rolls, but also bringing some new rewards into the fold when possible. This always depends a bit on what resources we have for a given Season, but we're looking forward to a few new Iron Banner-themed tools for your arsenal.

Looking even further out, we're planning new armor for Iron Banner. These sets won't appear for a few Seasons, but we have heard your desire for some new digs. Once we have more information, we'll let you know! Until then, we hope you enjoy the new weapons.

    The Never-ending Search for Balance

Prepping for Season of [REDACTED], we have a few changes that will be coming to the Destiny sandbox. This week, we'll be focusing on things that are hot, so to speak. Weapons and archetypes that need to be tuned in order to create breathing room for other aspects of the Destiny sandbox to shine. We're also planning quite a few buffs to underused perks, Linear Fusion Rifles, and more! The current plan is to cover perk and weapon buffs in an upcoming TWAB towards the end of April once they're solidified, but we wanted to get this information out earlier than normal to keep you all informed!

    Image Linkimgur

Without further ado, Weapons Feature Lead Chris Proctor is here once again to lay out our goals with these upcoming changes and give you the nitty-gritty details.

    Weapon Archetypes

    • Aggressive (120 rpm) Hand Cannons are very dominant in PvP, and we've received enough feedback that we want to rein them in a bit, without completely taking away their range benefits.

      • These weapons will now have damage and aim assist falloff distance reduced by between 2 and 4 meters, based on the Range stat.
      • This roughly halves the range buff they received in Beyond Light.
    • Vortex Frame Swords -- With Falling Guillotine now viable forever, we need to adjust it a little, as its damage output is flat out higher than all other Legendary swords. With this change we allow it to keep its high damage output, but are reducing its full-reserves damage output by reducing the number of Heavy attacks you'll be able to perform.

      • Full energy Heavy attack ammo cost increased from 4 to 6.
    • Chip damage -- Certain weapons (Swords and Bastion) bypass shields by varying amounts, which has caused numerous issues with Stasis-encased enemies, encounter mechanics, and other content.

      • We have removed chip damage from Swords and Bastion.

    Perks

    • Quickdraw -- This perk is intended to provide faster swap speed, but it also passively buffs handling by +100. This completely negates the downside of using low-handling weapons (such as Aggressive Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, and Hand Cannons), which isn't something we want to encourage. Those weapons should have downsides and working around those completely via a perk isn't healthy. We don't think allowing a fast-swap to the Shotgun subfamily with the highest one-hit-kill range is great either.

      • The Handling bonus is now removed one second after switching to this weapon, or upon aiming down sights.
      • Replaced Quickdraw with Surplus on new and existing drops of Felwinter's Lie and Astral Horizon.
    • Frenzy -- This perk has extremely high uptime in PvE, to the point where it is clearly a better choice than most other damage perks. We like the high uptime and want to preserve that, but want it to award less damage than harder to activate damage perks

      • Reduced bonus damage from +20 percent to +15 percent.
    • Reservoir Burst -- Now increases magazine size in addition to its other effects, reduced full battery bonus damage from 33 percent to 25 percent.

      • Upcoming content requires revisiting the Power Level of a damage perk that can be activated simply by having a full magazine.
      • Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more...

    Exotics

    • The Lament -- This weapon is a clear outlier for Sword damage, so for the health of Heavy weapon diversity, we're pulling it back a bit.

      • Reduced damage of revved Heavy attack by approximately 16 percent.
      • Note that The Lament retains standard anti-barrier despite removing chip damage.
    • Bastion -- Since we're removing chip damage, Bastion gets something else instead. We've noticed increased feedback on Bastion and higher than normal usage in PvP, so are making a small change here and will revisit Bastion later.

      • Intrinsically staggers Unstoppable Champions.
      • Increased spread angle by 13 percent.

With all balance changes, we will continue to watch how they play once they're in the wild and will look to make further adjustments based on our observations and player feedback.

    Suit Up

    Image Linkimgur

Sometimes, the only thing standing between Guardians and a successful outing is a single armor piece. This week, a new Seasonal Challenge required some very specific gear for completion, and our Player Support team has the details on why some of you may have been missing out on progress.

    This is their report.

    SUITED FOR COMBAT SEASONAL CHALLENGE

This week we introduced the ninth week of Season of the Chosen Seasonal Challenges. One of the challenges, "Suited for Combat," asked players to defeat targets anywhere in the system wearing a full set of armor, but it didn't clarify that the armor had to be the Praefectus Seasonal armor. Only the Praefectus Season of the Chosen armor will grant progress toward this challenge.

    "INACTIVITY" IN GRANDMASTER NIGHTFALLS

Since the Grandmaster Nightfall was introduced, we noticed that some players who can't be revived will eventually get kicked out of the activity due to "inactivity." To mitigate this issue in future Grandmaster Nightfalls, players should open their Character or Director screens and go through their menus to avoid being removed from activity. We are investigating a solution for this issue in a future Season.

    DISMANTLE YOUR SHADERS

Beginning in Season 14 (launching May 11), we are overhauling our shader system and how shaders can be applied to armor. Due to the overhaul, shaders will become permanent unlocks, and all shaders in player inventories will be removed. We encourage everyone to dismantle their shaders before Season 14 begins to receive Glimmer and Legendary Shards.

More information about our new shader system can be found here under: "Getting Reacquainted with Adelaide."

    TWITCH GIFT SUB BOUNTY REWARDS

Players who purchase Twitch gift subs to progress the associated viewer bounty in the Destiny 2 Official Twitch Extension may not see bounty progress appear immediately after purchase. Players should make sure to visit Amanda Holliday in the Tower to verify whether their bounty rewards were granted prior to submitting a support ticket.

Those who continue to encounter issues with bounty rewards should view our Twitch Extension Support article.

    WEEKLY KNOWN ISSUES

While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us in our #Help Forum:

    • Only the Praefectus armor set can be used for progress toward the Week 9 Seasonal Challenge, "Suited for Combat."
    • Enemies are teleporting in various activities.
    • Some players may still have the Season of the Hunt Milestone listed in their Milestones after listening to Osiris' transmission in Zavala's office.
    • The Dreaming City bounty, "Challenge: The Shattered," doesn't complete after Tolan is found in Ascendant Challenges.
    • Destiny 1 Memories may display inaccurate completion dates.
    • Legatus Mark Seasonal Titan ornament clips into itself slightly.

For a full list of emergent issues in Destiny 2, players can review our Known Issues article. Players who observe other issues should report them to our #Help forum.

Sandbox tuning is always a fun topic to discuss with the team. Some of my favorite conversations with coworkers have been talking through feedback on various perks, their viability in different activities throughout Destiny 2, and the ways in which the team could make them more desirable for players moving forward. We covered Celerity and Bottomless Grief last week, but we're all excited to look at things like Iron Grip, Subsistence, Unrelenting, and more. We'll have the full list, and detailed changes, ready for you to read through in just a few short weeks.

But outside of scintillating sandbox scoops, we still have a bit more to cover in the coming weeks. Guardian Games is almost on our doorstep. Transmog is right around the corner. Vault of Glass is on its way. Hell, there's a fresh new Season of content just over a month away...

Excited yet? I know I am.

    Cheers,

I know this has been said before, but can we PLEASE have a void SMG next season?

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 11:39 AM PDT

Almost every gap left by sunsetting (from an elemental weapon type standpoint, not individual archetypes) has been filled, except for one, and this is the Void SMG. You can't even obtain one in the game right now aside from the sunset Recluse from the kiosk.

We got two new SMGs this season, and they are both kinetic. Don't get me wrong, they're great weapons, especially Extraordinary Rendition, but when we already had like 3 kinetic SMGs available in the loot pool and 0 Void SMGs it just doesn't make sense.

By the way, same thing goes for a legendary kinetic Grenade Launcher. I love Witherhoard and it's my main kinetic exotic, but there are no options for people who want to use an energy or heavy exotic.

Don't Forget to Update Osmosis and Elemental Capacitor when Legendary Stasis weapons become widespread.

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 09:12 AM PDT

Season 15 we're getting Legendary Stasis Energy and Heavy weapons. But some perks like Osmosis and Elemental Capacitor get shafted when using them on Stasis subclasses right now.

Hopefully these will get updates so they become usable on some builds and removes the need for an equivilent perk to be added to the pool.

EDIT: Sources show for Season 15, not next season.

For The Love of the Traveler Make Losses Give Infamy

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 12:13 PM PDT

IIRC it's for Mythic and Legend ranks that losses give 0 infamy. (Just Legend. Mythic gets a pathetic 30 infamy)

that's 7500 3000 infamy that has to be gained via wins only to finally reset.

WHY? Comp has the same mechanic, but that's for the COMPETITIVE PvP playlist. Why does GAMBIT of all things have the same mechanic? It doesn't need it. It makes and already painful grind even more painful. no wonder most players avoid Gambit like the plague. Rewards are meh at best (ok bottom dollar is good, but whatever, only for PvP and what PvPer plays gambit lol) and the grind is one of the longest, and for the most part straight up random. gambit AI enemies seem to fluctuate in strength, factions change, and the primevals are random so building for anything specific requires hotswitches (on PC, rip console lmao) having a skilled invader is pretty much necessary (skilled = EoT or Xeno. much fun amirite?)

Please Bungie, just rework infamy to be more like valor.

Can we have Battlegrounds updated so that they count towards Playlist activities.

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 02:12 PM PDT

Title says it all. I wish that we could have some of our progress towards quests like Exotic Cypher be counted in Battlegrounds. I don't like playing battlegrounds because it feels like it's too long and doesn't really help my character, besides the teir power gear, which isn't that great.

I'm not sure if this has been submitted before, so comment on whether anyone has heard if Bungie is going to have this changed soon.

    Happy hunting.

I love exotic raid weapons, but I’d like to see them get exotic quests for ornaments like Acrius did

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 04:29 PM PDT

I personally would find it more worth it to return if there was a quest like the one for Legend of Acrius' ornament called The Emperor's Pleasure.

Or maybe just more quests like divinity. Even though GoS can be a pain, especially the divinity quest, I think it's more interesting to have a quest for an exotic in a raid rather than relying on RNG for an exotic in a raid.

Monument to Lost Lights: A Guide for New and Returning Players on Purchasing Exotic Weapons from the Kiosk, with some Notes on What to Prioritize

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 07:13 PM PDT

From the guy who brought you the guide to buying D2 DLC and Understanding Pinnacles comes a guide on the exotic kiosk. This is meant to be a helpful resource for new and returning players as it goes through the what and how of the content in the kiosk, and offers some recommendations on what to buy first. These recommendations are not meant to be comprehensive, as new and returning players can only obtain one weapon per week, meaning it will take a few months just to obtain the weapons highlighted here. I'm sure the comments will be full of hearty discussion about weapons, but these highlighted picks are most based off of community sentiment and the many, many posts I've seen in /new of people asking what they should buy.

What is the Monument to Lost Lights?

With Bungie deciding to vault locations and old story content last year, they needed to come up with a solution on what to do with exotics tied to vaulted raids and exotics that had quests with steps on vaulted locations. Their solution is this kiosk, which can be found next to the vault in the tower. This kiosk also has previous legendary ritual weapons, all , as new and returning players can only obtain one weapon per week, meaning it will take a few months just to obtain the weapons highlighted here. I'm sure the comments will be full of hearty discussion about weapons, but these highlighted picks are most based off of community sentiment and the many, many posts I've seen in /new of people they are associated.

What do I need to purchase these weapons?

    • Glimmer - at least 100k, some as high as 150k
    • Ascendent Shard - a few weapons require 2
    • Planetary Materials - amount and type varies
    • Exotic Cipher - obtained from Xur
    • Spoils of Conquest - only required for the 3 raid weapons

Ascendent Shards are a rare upgrade material that can be obtained from reseting your Valor/Infamy with Shaxx/Drifter, from season pass rewards, from completing Master or Grandmaster Nightfalls, and if you're desperate, they can be purchased from Banshee after accumulating Enhancement Cores/Prisms. In addition to being used at the kiosk, these Shards also are used for masterworking armor pieces. When you're first hitting end game content, these Shards will seem hard to come by, but you will end up getting a ton of them if you farm Master (1330) Nightfalls, particularly during double drop weeks.

Exotic Ciphers are obtained from completing a quest Xur gives you. You must complete 21 playlist activities - if you're doing Gambit/Crucible, only wins make progress. Once completed, return to Xur and he will give you a Cipher. Note that if you don't complete the quest before he leaves at weekly reset, you'll have to wait to turn it in next weekend when he returns, and you won't be able to get a new quest from him that weekend. So, if you want to use Ciphers as fast as possible, get the quest from him on Friday when he appears, blast through the activities, then be sure to turn it in and get your Cipher before he leaves. This will allow you to then get another Cipher quest from him the next weekend and do it all over again. Also note that you can get one Cipher from the season pass, so that's one free Cipher every 3 months or so. You can only hold one Cipher in your inventory at a time across your account, so be sure to use it if you want another one.

Finally, we have Spoils of Conquest. This currency can only be obtained from raids and is used to purchase kiosk weapons that were previously only obtainable from now-vaulted raids. There are four items that require 240 spoils each: Anarchy, Legend of Acrius, Tarrabah, and the exotic sparrow Always on Time. How do you get spoils? If you complete the Deep Stone Crypt, you'll get 20 during your run: 10 from both hidden chests. The first chest can be grabbed solo once you know the sparrow route, so if you don't want to do a full raid, you could grab 30 total spoils per week across 3 characters by putting forth about 45 minutes of effort. Once you've cleared DSC once, subsequent clears before reset won't give you any loot, but you will get 5 spoils per encounter completion (20 total for a full raid completion). Farming the first encounter for spoils is a pretty easy thing to do if you can get a team together.

What Weapons Should You Prioritize Obtaining?

    Player versus Environment (PvE)

Anarchy - Arc Heavy Grenade Launcher - This is the the single best PvE weapon you can pull from the kiosk. I honestly don't think there's anyone who would disagree with me on that (which is bold to say on reddit!). For those unaware, Anarchy is a heavy grenade launcher that fires trip mines that stick to surfaces and chain lightning between them. It does really high damage over time (DoT) which is versatile in so many different ways. Fire off two shots on the boss, then switch to another weapon like a sniper or slug shotgun and do more DPS while the DoT ticks, or deal with adds, or if things are hairy you can run and hide while the DoT does its thing. For add-clear you can fire off two shots on either side of a spawn door and watch the adds melt immediately on spawn. Yes, it requires Spoils - something that may be tough for newer players or players averse to raiding. But it is 100% worth the time and effort to save your spoils for this, and to try to grab the first DSC chest every week on 3 characters if you're not raiding.

Witherhoard - Kinetic Grenade Launcher - Two picks, two DoT weapons. Witherhoard creates blight pools that stay on the ground and provide DoT to enemies in the pool, and if you hit an enemy directly, they'll take DoT and then drop a blight pool when they die. A popular pick for players trying to go flawless/solo in dungeons, Witherhoard has better ammo economy than Anarchy with it running on special ammo instead of heavy ammo, and it does large area DoT with only one shot as opposed to Anarchy that takes at minimum 2 shots for a line, 3 to set a triangle, etc. The catalyst is a must-have as it adds auto-loading holster, so you can fire off a round, switch to an energy primary, then switch back ready to fire off another round. Pairs well with Duskfield grenades to pull adds into the blight.

Izanagi's Burden - Kinetic Sniper - Before The Lament, this was the king of burst DPS, and still retains that crown at range. With 4 rounds in the mag, its exotic perk is that you can reload to combine the damage of all 4 bullets into one round for the insane single target burst damage I mentioned, with an extra 20% damage on top if you have the catalyst. This has been a popular choice in Master and Grandmaster content this season with the anti-barrier sniper mod, but just know that you need to be able to hit your crit spots to make the weapon shine.

Eriana's Vow - Solar Special Hand Cannon - The only Hand Cannon in the game that uses special ammo, this thing hits like a truck and has intrinsic anti-barrier to boot, and when you add the catalyst you get a magazine boost plus auto-loading holster. With range that makes it compete with some snipers, it rewards chaining crits as the opening shot damage boost will continually proc until you miss a crit, making it good for add clear and boss damage. Eriana's Vow is an excellent all-round choice in tougher PvE content that everyone should have.

Edit: As /u/djternan pointed out, the quests for the catalysts for both Witherhoard and Eriana's Vow both have very long, grindy activity requirements, so that alone may make you want to pull both of them before Izanagi's Burden so you can go ahead and get started.

    PvE Honorable Mentions

Sleeper Simulant - Solar Linear Fusion Rifle - I still find this weapon incredibly fun and I have a soft spot for it because of how cool and unique it was when it launched in D1, but linear fusions just aren't in a good spot right now. This remains at the top of the list of everyone's "if it gets a buff, it will reign" list. Here's hoping.

Whisper of the Worm - Heavy Solar Sniper Rifle - This is the D2 version of a longtime Destiny favorite and the evolution of the original D1 legendary Black Hammer that had infinite boss ammo that was so good it was sunset and brought back as the exotic Black Spindle, which still reigned as the boss DPS king even without infinite ammo. Whisper still has places where it can shine if you have long sustained damage phases with a decent crit spot, but the catalyst is currently unavailable for new players and there are other competing DPS options now compared to when it first released.

Outbreak Perfected - Kinetic Pulse Rifle - Like WotW, Outbreak Perfected is a longtime fan favorite but is currently missing its catalyst, and as such is tough to recommend over other options until the catalyst becomes available to new or returning players pulling it fresh from the kiosk.

    Player versus Player (PvP)

The Last Word - Kinetic Hand Cannon - Full disclosure: I'm a console player and have seen plenty of people comment that this is one of the few weapons that plays way different on console compared to PC, with TLW being good on console and average at best on PC. Effective at close to medium range, TLW has an insanely fast time-to-kill (ttk) with it's truly unique exotic perk that makes it feel unlike any other hand cannon with the hip fan fire. I think it may have an even better chance to shine with shotguns and 120rpm hand cannons being reigned in slightly in the next season. Pairs well with a sniper.

Thorn - Kinetic Hand Cannon - Up to this point, we've only covered DoT weapons in PvE. Thorn proves that DoT can be strong in PvP too, as it's poison rounds keep targets pinned down and delay health recovery. On top of that, you can track between walls where they're moving as the damage numbers tick off. As a 140 rpm archetype, Thorn isn't S tier in the current meta but still has a place in skilled hands, and may be poised to be a better option soon with 120s getting brought in.

    Mixed Usage (PvE and PvP)

Ace of Spades - Kinetic Hand Cannon - Not quite as good as it once was in PvP with the rise of the 120 RPM Legendary Hand Cannon meta, AoS is still a solid option with great range and bonus damage after getting kills. The only weapon currently in the game with Firefly, AoS also isn't a bad option for add-clear in PvE with the solar explosions, but won't be a good choice in higher level content where using an exotic slot for DPS makes more sense.

Truth - Void Rocket Launcher - Being the only rocket launcher in the game that has 3 rockets in the mag, Truth isn't the most exciting choice, but it has a lot of versatility. Being able to fire off 3 rockets on a staggered champion in high level content leads to very fast burst DPS, and tracking + proximity explosions makes it an easy PvP option to choose as well. Where it really shines is in Gambit invasions, where it's possible to get three quick Guardian kills with a full mag and the aforementioned excellent tracking + proximity explosion combo.

Le Monarque - Void Combat Bow - Le Monarque is really having a moment this season with the Overload Bow mod from the artifact, as it completely wrecks shop in Lost Sectors with Void singe and keeps those pesky overload champs from recovering health quickly due to the poison. Poisoning targets on hit, and then having that poison spread to nearby enemies, turns out to be a great perk in PvE for add clear, and also in 6v6 PvP where opponents are close to each other, not to mention that dealing with DoT ticking in PvP means that the effected target will stay at low health for a longer time before recovery kicks in.

Jotunn - Solar Fusion Rifle - Do you like making things explode? Then Jotunn is the weapon for you! With tracking, Jotunn is a fun weapon to use in PvP, Gambit, and PvE, as it can deal massive solar explosive damage at range, with the tracking really shining in big open areas. In PvE, it can handle yellow bar enemies in only a few shots, particularly in content where solar singe is turned on. While it's probably not going to compete for the exotic slot in high end content, the fun factor can't be denied.

That's what I've got. Looking forward to the comments being completely civil with no disagreement with my highlighted choices at all!

From the maker of the 6 minute FALLEN S.A.B.E.R. GM Nightfall Guide: Here is the long version with every piece of information you could possibly need!

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 01:00 PM PDT

    Video : https://youtu.be/KMgaywRVRKA

This one isn't too bad! Main tips are staying out of the warsat unless all enemies are dead, killing the turrets off of the ships as they fly in (shoot at them to reveal them), and playing the back left side of the boss room and burning at 1/2!

As far as loadouts go, use what you are comfortable with! My recommendations are simply that - recommendations. If you want to use risk runner, do it!

BUT... please know that they are absolutely ZERO SOLAR SHIELDS in this entire nightfall! I know the master version had a ton, but the GM variant has ZERO!

If you have any other questions, throw them down below and I'll do my best to answer!

Forget putting Onslaught on Shadow Price, I want it on a 720 RPM auto rifle!

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 08:20 PM PDT

Hear me out, hear me out. Onslaught turned Breakneck from a 450 to a 600 and then 720. What if we went... even further beyond? 720 at base and rampage 1 (or however they rework it to not be exclusively rampage), 900 at 2 and 1200 at 3. Who needs full auto when you can have fuller auto?

Please add Essence of Envy to the Lectern Moon Weapon frames so we can farm Premonition

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 05:45 PM PDT

See title. This essence is unused and the Premonition is Pit of Heresy drop only atm, this Pulse Rifle was reissued in Beyond Light and can roll some good combinations of perks.

Just keep Thresh a pit exclusive perk and add the frame to Lecterns inventory.

Replayable cutscenes to see our Guardians (and sweet armor) in.

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 01:43 PM PDT

One of the joys I had was playing old story missions was seeing my guardian all decked out in new or cool armor within the cutscenes. Kind of a moment to show off, if for nobody, myself.

But lately, I feel like there isn't many repeatable "Cinematic" opportunities to watch my character off in.

Could we get a menu or "cinematic" list? Even seeing old cutscenes from old seasons would be cool to watch within the game. How many of them are a "once per character" type events, never to be seen again?

Old Activity Shaders should be obtainable again

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 12:42 AM PDT

Gambit Jadestone is probably the most notable example but there are a lot of great-looking shaders that are currently unobtainable. It'd be really cool to get them back, because it would add a cool new reward for many players to the core playlists and fashion is a great part of this game.

Edit: I'd like to clarify I meant the core playlist activity shaders (strikes, crucible, and gambit).

I went through all the cloaks in my collection to analyze just how bad the Assassins' Cowl clipping is.

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 06:03 AM PDT

I sorted each cloak into one of 3 categories, from egregious to "wow it actually fits inside this one".

    The criminal offenses

    The misdemeanors

For the most part, these would be acceptable, were it not for all the cloaks in the previous section.

    The exceptions

More cloaks made it onto this section than I was expecting, but I'd never wear almost any of them cause they ugly.

I'll be honest, I hate how it looks and I hate that I love its function as much as I do, so anything to make it more acceptably looking is a big win for me. This clipping issue goes beyond looking acceptable though, it's simply an oversized asset that should have been reduced by a few percentile before being aproved.

Because the helmet is covered in bright blue (unshadeable) strings, any minor clipping becomes very noticeable if your cloak is anything but bright white or blue.

In conclusion, make the Cowl smaller, bungo.

A friend and I were talking: what if we got a strike each season that basically summed up the seasonal story? And what if this strike stayed?

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 10:24 PM PDT

Title. I've been thinking about this question since the release of Proving Grounds, and in a way, it can be considered a "recap strike." We go into the land tank and take on one of her champions, just as we took out her champions in the battlegrounds mode. Certain missions can also be turned into "recap strikes." Coup De Grace, for example, could also be one. Or, if we wanted strikes from seasons already out of the game, Undying could basically be summed up in an "Undying Mind 2" strike. Worthy was shit, and could have been better with a strike. I just think it'd be cool if there was something we knew we could keep from the storylines, for those of us who like to go through the stories again and recap.
