Please Change the Numbers in Gilded Titles to Roman Numerals

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 07:28 PM PDT

As a triumph enthusiast, I think it would be way cooler to have roman numerals displayed on gilded titles rather than just numbers. And maybe even change the color the more times you gild a title, just a thought.

Edit: It seems that some people find roman numerals cumbersome and displeasing to the eye, I think providing an option to toggle between roman numerals or regular numbers would be a good compromise.

1300 Legend Lost Sector today is for the Exotic Chest and its Bunker E15 for those of you still chasing this seasons new Exotic Chest armour.

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 11:02 AM PDT

One of the easier legend lost sectors to solo so get after it you filthy animals!

I'd suggest an Overload Bow over the other Overload options here but that's purely my preference, I'm sure there are various optimal loadouts for this one.

Buying one piece out of a universal ornament set with silver

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 03:34 PM PDT

So I have 500 silver on my account, and was looking through the archives in the Eververse Store. I saw a full set costs 1,500 silver, but I noticed I could "complete the set" for a cheaper price if I already had part of the set. Say I had 4/5 pieces unlocked, it would only cost 300 silver to get that last piece to complete the set. Why can't that be an option for all universal ornament sets? Sometimes I only like one piece out of the whole set.

I know they usually sell each piece individually for bright dust once a season but if you miss it that week you're screwed. An example would be; I realllly want that new titan helmet ornament this season that makes you look like a bull. If I don't grab it the week it's on sale, or if I don't have enough bright dust; the only other way to get the helmet specifically, would be to buy the whole set for 1,500 silver.

It'd be a lot nicer if you could just buy them individually at 300 silver a piece. Shoot I'd probably end up spending more cherry picking the ornaments I like, because there's no way I'm dropping 1,500 silver for a set and only really like 1/5 pieces. What do my fellow guardians think?

If the zones in control “are your life” like Shaxx says, is there any way to stop or at least disincentivize full stacks from ignoring them just to stretch out lopsided crucible matches?

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 03:35 PM PDT

    Title.

The last few months I've started or joined a lot of control matches where the opposing team is a full stack, playing as sweaty as possible, and deliberately ignoring the zones. Communication and teamshotting are obviously good advantages to have, but coordinated teams can easily delay the mercy rule by staying off of zones and continuing to farm kills without the score multipliers inflating their numbers too high too quickly.

Bad matches are a part of any multiplayer game, but knowing your opponents are manipulating a situation to draw out something unpleasant and meant to eat up more of your time is a huge bummer. I don't have all the time in the world for Destiny, so it's demoralizing to set aside time to play when stuff like this is becoming, at least in my experience, more frequent. I recognize the obvious response is some variant of "git gud" or "play with a team" but if control is focused on zone control, stacked teams ignoring zones just so they can keep stomping a little while longer in the same lobby seems like more of an exploit than anything else. Curious to hear thoughts on a mechanical overhaul to control - maybe if you don't capture a zone within x time or the enemy team has a powerplay for y time, mercy kicks in. I don't know. The current mercy mechanics seem to have reached their limits, though.

Not the best thing in the world to join a match and see matching clan tags for a clan that sounds like a bad anime or hair metal band, usually full of stasis hunters sliding around with Felwinter's and teamshotting with 120s. But I can suck it up for a round. If they deliberately ignore winning just to farm kills, though, that's the point when I just log off now. Can anything be done?

Here's how the Crucible works on PS5, for anyone who's curious

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 05:41 PM PDT

    1. Load into a Control match. Both teams have 5 players. Quickly scan the names and realize you recognize every single one.
    2. Head toward a zone. Get quickscoped by a gilded Flawless.
    3. Spawn near an AFK teammate. Notice that a player has been added to the other team.
    4. Finally capture a zone. Get 2-tapped by a gilded Unbroken before his guardian is fully visible.
    5. Your AFK teammate has gone to orbit. A new teammate is added to your team. The new teammate sees the score (43-17) and immediately leaves.
    6. Get air-sniped by an Unbroken Dawnblade wearing glowing Trials armor.
    7. Shaxx calls the match as you're getting t-bagged.We're breaking up the teams...
    8. Load into a new Control match. Half the players were in the last match. At least this time, you're on the steamroll team, so you get to mercy them.
    9. Feel good about yourself for a few seconds. Return to step 1.

Look, I know nobody's crying for those of us fortunate enough to have PS5's already, but damn, it's rough in there folks. Bungie, please open up PS5 matchmaking to a wider pool of players?

The only thing I dislike about Presage is knowing that after this, Calus either HAS to be a antagonist, or die alone in space or something. I'm gonna miss him being bombastic in the moral grey area of "not a threat, but NOT an ally."

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 11:06 PM PDT

Pretty much the most fun thing about Calus was how bombastic he was in the game. He was a sinister presence yes, but he was so hammy about it that you could not help but love him even as he said the things he did.

And the fact was, even though he was CLEARLY evil, he sat in a "Grey zone" because he was not really threatening anyone just yet. He was more then happy to just offer people gifts and have them go fight in his arenas as the world collapsed.

Then worlds vanished, The Darkness came, it left him by, and he wanted answers.

After everything that happened on the Glykon, Calus has, arguably, shown his true colors harder then ever before. And I don't think he can sit comfy in that legal grey area any longer. He is either going to come back as a antagonist we will need to kill, or die alone, in space, consumed by the Darkness for his hubris. And THAT is assuming he's not dead already, considering that his voice is used by the Glykon baddie.

Either way, I will miss those dumb, fun times on the Leviathan where Calus and his booming voice offered everyone cool shit and shot the breeze, rather then either wanting us dead, or him simply BEING dead.

"You're risking it all, cash in now" - Gambit.

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 08:23 AM PDT

Has this line always been in the game, or is it new?

I heard it when carrying 15 motes, but with my super popped I didn't bank straight away (threw a shield from a distance at newly spawning ad area).

It was pretty tame though, I nearly missed hearing it. Drifter should have been shouting it Shaxx-esque, and needs a collection of similar lines (also being yelled) for players with even 1 mote, when they have whatever would summon the Primeaval.

Maybe we don’t get a Siva expansion BUT, how about more Siva based weapons when Rasputin returns?

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 10:17 AM PDT

Just as the title says, more kinetic/energy/heavy Siva based weapons. For example a sub machine gun that attaches void based Siva nanites that make the infected individual more susceptible to void damage, and so on for other elemental damage types. I love the look and ability of Outbreak Perfected but don't want the legendaries to be as powerful or broken either. There's a good batch of lore to draw from and can diversify our weapons further.

As for making an infected target more susceptible to the base (void/solar/arc/kinetic) it shouldn't be stronger than rampage/swashbuckler/vorpal or last longer than rampage with rampage spec. The last thing we want is an overpowered weapons group that is the only thing used in game, however powerful enough to be considered for a lot of the content, endgame or not.

Throw in some more ideas below and maybe we get some more cool Siva based weapons and maybe some armour as well!

Happy hunting to the best community on Reddit!

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 09:45 AM PDT

I was just browsing through collections and noticed 'Out of options' sub had a unique magazine perk. I never even knew the perk existed. You can change the rof and impact. Its a cool perk and needs a place, like maybe a ritual sub with phase magazine would be nice.

    Exotic Shaders

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 09:16 PM PDT

(Sorry if this was posted before) As the title suggests, I think Bungie should add exotic shaders. Now these shaders aren't just the regular legendary shaders you earn easily from bright engrams and regular playlist activities or just purchasing with silver, these shaders are acquired through getting the hard triumphs that an everyday casual player wouldn't get. This would include but not limited to flawless trials and raids, level 95-100 season pass, limited time event rewards and certain seals like conquerer. These shaders would be very noticeable and how they would achieve this would be by being reactive (for weapons) and when you get kills it might start glowing and changing and for armor depending on your health the animation might get faster or more noticeable in some way such as solar flares moving across your body or whirlpools or blizzards. This would feel more rewarding for completing these activities and triumphs and would be a cool addition for the players who go the extra mile and maybe incentivize casual players to maybe try out these activities or strive for these cosmetics. What do you guys think?

Noticed some tooltips seem to be wrong, wanted to bring attention to them if they weren't known

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 03:43 PM PDT

Looking at palindrome, the adaptive frame intrinsic perk seems to use the word "grip" instead of "frame" and the mod tooltip still says it is consumed on use.

I just realized the Throne of Soot shader is supposed to represent the Tower

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 10:12 AM PDT

It was one of the two shaders that dropped from the Season 11 pass and was the default shader on the Siegebreak armor ornaments.

I was never really sure what the inspiration for the color scheme was, but then I saw the yellow scaffolding on the old Tower undergoing reconstruction and it clicked. The "Throne" is the D1 Tower, the "Soot" refers to its destruction during the Red War. The gray portions of the shader represent concrete while the yellow portions represent scaffolding. It also explains why the shader gives things a somewhat worn appearance.
