    One of Bungie's core values is wanting everyone to feel that their identity is welcome. This goes for both players feeling welcome in our games, and employees feeling welcome in our studio. It means evaluating our communication, listening and learning to different viewpoints, and amplifying underrepresented voices. While this is not a problem that can be solved overnight, it is an ongoing effort for Bungie employees throughout the company. Last year, we shared some of the work done by Bungie's first Inclusion Club, Black at Bungie. And today, on International Transgender Day of Visibility, we'd like to share the efforts of another Bungie Inclusion Club, Trans at Bungie.

    While the Bungie Diversity Committee works to improve Bungie in general matters of diversity and inclusion, Inclusion Clubs are employee-led groups empowered to make more targeted efforts. They provide employees in underrepresented groups resources and time to improve both Bungie and Destiny by bringing their unique perspective to the table. Trans at Bungie was created to connect trans and non-binary individuals, and those who wish to reach out as supportive allies.

    David Setser, an engineer working on Destiny's UI, is a founding member of Trans at Bungie and the current lead for the club. "When I first started to explore my gender identity, I was mostly alone," Setser said. "Figuring it out and making the changes I needed felt like trying to take on a raid all by myself. We founded Trans at Bungie to provide that support to our trans peers. Issues like navigating healthcare, advocating for representation, and getting through the repeated and never-ending conversations of coming out are challenges no one should have to face without a fireteam by their side."

    "I remember how awkward it was coming out as trans/non-binary at my last company, where I was the first and only openly gender-nonconforming individual at the time," said Ash Adam, an engineer on the Publishing Development team. "I had to explain pronouns and gender theory many times, often to the same persons. It was draining and sometimes difficult to feel respected as I was going through transition. When I joined Bungie, I was ecstatic to find out there's a club of employees who are familiar with the challenges, and who can help educate managers and coworkers so the burden wouldn't be entirely my own."

    In addition to providing support, Trans at Bungie has engaged in multiple conversations about improving the environment at Bungie. These range from conversations about healthcare options to vetting plans for the studio remodel. Regarding this work, Adam added: "On top of the social stresses of transitioning while working, there's also the chaos of trying to figure out what your insurance will and won't cover, and what procedures and therapies are right for you. When I came out, those were all big question marks for me, but I'm hopeful that if someone at Bungie finds themselves questioning their identity, they can lean on our club for guidance."

    Setser explained that Trans at Bungie doesn't only have plans to work on internal matters. "First, helping everyone do their best work regardless of their gender or lack thereof translates to a better game. We've worked on features players use every day and content that makes the game great, even if they aren't related to gender." Trans employees have contributed to a variety of player-facing elements, including quest notification improvements, activity design, and even many of the landscapes and worlds players run around in.

    Setser continues, "We're in discussions with several teams about improving Destiny's handling of gender, and while I can't reveal anything specific, I can say I'm very excited. We've had a very positive response from other teams during these conversations. It's going to take time, but I can't wait to see some of these ideas make it into the game to help our trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming players feel more welcome in Destiny."

    From a community perspective, the Club intends to coordinate with other employees in the broader LGBTQ+ community for Bungie's celebration of Pride this June. They also say they have plans beyond that for later in the year. "One thing I can reveal is that we'll be introducing a new trans-themed emblem later this year to celebrate Transgender Awareness Week in November," Setser shared. "We're still working out the details, but it will be linked to the existing Pride pin in some way, and as with other similar offers, the profits will go to an appropriate charity. In the meantime, to all our trans Guardians out there, we see you, and we've got your back."

    It's time Bungie. Sparrows deserve the Ghost Shell Treatment

    Title.

    Ghost Shell update in 3.0.0.1 was just:👌Chef's Kiss👌.

    Lets do it to Sparrows now.

    Obviously Ghost Shells were in dire need of this update because it became a game of:

    1. I can't use my favorite looking ghost because X ghost has Guiding Light

    2. Sagira's Ghost is beautiful but why would I go to Mecrury lmao (pre-beyond light obviously)

    3. Why did I spend silver on this ghost if it doesn't even have Guiding Light, etc. as an option

    Sparrows are not in this unique situation however there is room to improve and the Ghost Shell update is the way to go.

    Changes:

    Give Sparrows a Weapon-esque Mod perk tree.

    Let us swap between Stabilizers and Destabilizers.

    Add 2 or 3 slots with varying energy costs for Thrusters, Autoloader, Reduced Summon Cooldown, Instant summons, etc.

    Or, make some of the Perks automatically unlock with Masterworking. Like Sparrow speeds: base 140 at tier 1, 150 at tier 5, and 160 at tier 10.

    Make Raid Sparrow unique mods that drop (however rare is deemed necessary) from hidden chests into a Mod that slot into a special slot thats maybe only on exotic sparrows.

    Always on Time, leave it in Momument to Lost Lights and, when purchased, also give the Stealth Running mod.

    Or add new ones, like- Give the first (hidden) chest in Deep Stone Crypt a new mod (or when completing the Triumph: Not a Scratch)-

    • Heated Seats(?): Reduced onset of Frostbite while riding this Sparrow.

    This also gives more room for new mods, maybe:

    • Overdrive/Unstable Thrusters: Boost for 180 speed at the cost of the life/condition of the sparrow.

    • Dark Matter Drive: Greatly reduces the cost of Boosting

    • Pneumatic Handbrake: Powerful braking(?) Or activiates destabilizers while boosting.

    • Lateral Thrusters (Why not?)

    • Banshee's Co-Pilot: Rare chance of generating weapon telementry on Precision Sparrow takedowns... just kidding, Bungie please just vault Weapon Telementry already, its worthless.

    Oh and horns.

    How to beat The Proving Grounds on GRANDMASTER difficulty explained in about 7 minutes!

    Note #1: You can get by without an arc hand cannon since everyone is running anarchy if you want to, but being able to shoot directly at the possible arc shielded colossus is a nice luxury in the chaotic tank room.

    Note #2: I know everyone's first instinct is going to be to use the boss cheese. Trust me when I say the encounter is easier without it. You are just as safe in the back of the room as you are at the top of the ceiling. and you have WAY better angles on enemies.

    I have been seeing a few "what if I don't have anarchy?" comments. Izinagi's + Rocket can be a viable substitute, but it won't be nearly as strong or ammo efficient.

    I do carries of this all the time as mentioned at the end of the guide video. More than happy to help individuals who don't have anarchy as well. We will get through just fine! :D

    Would be a cool thing if the H.E.L.M had tribute hall features. Like how we could place penguins on Euorpa, Tributes in the tribute hall. I just feel like they could do so much with this place over seasons and years to come. A place to showcase your favourite gear obtained over the years? Sort of like your personal museum to showcase to friends? Could be a lot of work though.

    Gambit tips

    Gotta kill 40 wizards, but hate gambit? Read this.

    There are a lot of people who don't know the gambit basics and I am surprised how many dregens I've played with that don't seem to know how to be productive teamates. These are not binding, and you can succeed without them, but if a team keeps these, they can compete with the best 4 stacks.

    1. 1st bank is after second wave. Not before or after. This will do one of two things. Either they bank first and your team is there to clear adds before invade can get you hopefully and you bank together to start eating their motes OR you bank first and get the first invade. A fast rocket at the bank can often get a few folks. It's a wierd race and I recommend being first.

    2. Heavy is for invader. Don't take it unless you are going to use it to invade. Side note-taking heavy then using it on the 3rd wave adds is the most frustrating thing to do to your team. You're throwing.

    3. When blockers appear, kill asap.

    4. Loadout. It should go without saying, but bring a primary that clears adds fast and a special that can get yellow bars down. I would recommend: a sidearm or smg but some hand cannons can work and with a slug shotty /jotuun /breach GL (spike). Snipers and GL are kind of special weapons for dealing with invaders and add clear, where as slug shotty is best for yellow bar clear. Heavy- invader should have eyes of tomorrow. It's hands down the best, second only to a very seasoned sniper. Non-invaders should pack a sword to melt boss. Note- these are just a few strong suggestions, there are others.

    5. Save super for boss with only a few exceptions. Chaos reach if you can get it back again, golden gun if you brought a sword for boss dps and your EoT invader couldn't get heavy and other team is ripe for invade. There are a few more, but generally save for boss dps.

    6. Boss time. Get wizards first. With all saved supers and 2 swords, you only need 2 wizards down. Otherwise save for second wave of wizards then melt. Hide during invasions while 1 or 2 search and destroy unless you are melting.

    7. Being invaded. 5+ motes = hide immediately. Less than 5, search and destroy. Invaders spawn left, middle, or right wave spawn points. They usually spawn furthest from current players.

    8. Prosperity gambit on ghost.

    9. Have fun. This is a unique mode based on pve competition (with a touch of pvp). Bring a fun loadout that slays out (I'm using a contaverse hold build with slug shotty, sidearm, and EoT. And don't worry if you get steamrolled. It happens to the best teams.

    10. This should be higher, but when he tells you to bank for primeval, please bank immediately. Getting those 3 extra motes won't help at all.

    Warlocks: Don't sleep on Sunshot combined with Mantle of Battle Harmony.

    There's never been a better time to make things go BOOM. Just throw a few things into the mix...

    • Mantle of Battle Harmony
    • Well of Radiance
    • Sunshot (Ticuu's Divination works too, but doesn't feel as good to me) & Code Duello
    • Wrath of Rasputin + Rage of the Warmind
    • Focusing Lens
    • High Energy Fire + Taking Charge (or any CwL mod to get charged)

    Seriously, everything goes boom. You kill an add with Sunshot, they go boom. You kill a few more, get a few more booms, and suddenly a warmind cell appears. You shoot the cell, it goes boom, maybe another warmind cell pops up because Rage of the Warmind kicks in. You get your super in less than 90 seconds. This kicks your Sunshot into Rampage Mode. Along the way, you're picking up charges of light, granting you High-Energy Fire, ensuring you remain in Rampage Mode.

    You enter a boss room? No big deal. Plop down your well, bring out your rocket launcher (preferably with Frenzy), and go to town. Maybe one of the other people in your fireteam hits the boss with stasis--if so, you get another damage boost from Focusing Lens that stacks with Well. More shit goes boom.

    I'm telling you, this is the most fun you can legally have in a video game. It's superb in high-density add situations like Battlegrounds. You should give it a shot.

    EDITED TO ADD A GRAVITON LANCE BUILD JUST FOR u/SirKhrome:

    • Mantle of Battle Harmony
    • Graviton Lance + Royal Entry (rocket launcher)
    • Bottom-tree Void Warlock (AKA devour tree)
    • Swift Charge mod (requires Arc armor piece) + one other arc mod slotted to gain secondary perk
    • High-Energy Fire mod
    • Font of Wisdom mod
    • Elemental Armaments mod
    • Sundering Glare mod

    It's devour-lock, first off, so eat your grenade and fully regen health after every kill. Secondly, not only do you get High-Energy Fire using the Swift Charge mod, but you ALSO randomly generate special ammo for your allies by getting pulse rifle kills via its secondary perk. Elemental Armaments gives you more Wells to regen your abilities when you get kills with void weapons, and Font of Wisdom gives you Tier 10 Intellect after kills, so you're getting Nezarac's Sin for free with two mods.

    So yeah... go wild, man. This one's pretty damn fun too.

    H.E.L.M should have been linked to the tower.

    The H.E.L.M is an awesome space, and is super unique but I feel like it should be a accesible from the tower, like through a door rather from orbit. A good spot from this would be the door up the stairs from Hawthorne. This door has been in the tower since release (I believe) and has never had a use, just a locked door and I believe that this could be a good way to link the two spaces.

    I believe it should still have a laod-in point from orbit however, but having in the tower would just save time in the long run.

    Mayhem should be in crucible more often

    I feel like Mayhem is one of the few fun game modes in crucible, In rumble it's spawning in between two players with adept trials weapons and in control it's people trying their hardest with felwinters lie and their igneous hammer with stasis and Wardcliff. But in mayhem it's only using your supers and heavies and it actually feels like you can kill players and top score even if you aren't good at PvP. It's also one of the fastest ways to rank up your valour rank which makes it the best crucible game mode in my opinion.

    Ursa Furiosa the GM orb machine

    How to give your team infinite super chains in GM nightfall:

    - Cast Banner shield (with ursa furiosa) and stand infront of a champ/large group of enemies.

    - Block all the shots.

    - Generate 12+ orbs for your team. (highest number i've ever gotten was 15)

    - Get back 80 - 90% of your super on your own cause of exotic.

    - Team chains supers of your numerous balls.

    - Die anyway from tracking meteors from the boss.

    CLASH and CONTROL should be permanent playlist

    Not all players want to play objective games , not all players want to focus on just beating other players in deathmatch. When you only have one , you force the players that dont want to play a particular game type into a game type they dont enjoy and more than likely wont fully participate in (clash players not capturing zones , and control players not slaying idk ?) . Also it may not help to bring a playlist back if its at the bottom or side of the menu, when in reality it should probably be the same size as the control menu so people will notice it easier.

    When is Stasis going to spread? I thought the Cabal and Hive were supposed to get it.

    Title. I think in one of the earlier dev blog posts they said Stasis would spread to other enemy factions and at the end of Arrivals we saw that diorama with Guardians, Cabal, Fallen, and Hive (no Vex allowed) reaching towards the Darkness. Where are the Stasis Cabal? I think that's what the end of this season is implying, that the now rebel Cabal will get Stasis but is that going to happen?

    The spread of Darkness hasn't been much of a spread at all.

    Why is PvP matchmaking so lopsided recently?

    Not even joking. 75% of my games were flat out mercies losses. I dont remember it being this bad a few weeks ago. I dont think Ive ever seen the game this bad since vanilla D2.

    Fusions and Linear Fusions Need a Major Buff

    Seeing as how last season we got Unstoppable Shotgun, this season we got Antibarrier Sniper, so I foresee us getting Overload Fusion next season and Antibarrier or Overload Linear Fusion in the future.

    Overload Fusion has great potential to be great like Antibarrier Sniper, but fusions lack the damage output to even be meaningful. They do about the same damage as shotguns but have a charge time with slightly more range, it's like sidearm to SMG range differences.

    Don't get me started on Linear Fusions... god these are bad. They have the same range as snipers, but have less total damage, less dps, have a charge time, all while being in the heavy slot; the only thing they have going for them is their stupidly cracked aim assist. These need to be buffed an insane amount in order to justify them being in the heavy slot; otherwise, they need to be moved to the energy slot, but they'd still be mediocre. I love linear fusions, they are a lot of fun to use but are never viable.

    Could Arbalest and Bastion actually do damage to shields please? Arbalest's perk states that it does massive damage to shields, a-a-are you sure about that? When has anyone used Arbalest and Bastion in PvE except for when they forgot they had it equipped after doing some PvP?

    Bring back Armsday

    For those of you who didn't play D1, let me explain. Armsday was an event that reset each Wednesday. Each Wednesday, you'd go to Banshee, and pick up a test weapon. Each weapon had test requirements, which meant you had to kill guardians, or kill yellow bar enemies, or whatever. After, once they test was finished, you would turn it in and get an order ticket.

    The following week, Banshee would have a set of random rolls for that ticket. The amount depended on what level you were with him but you could get up to three. That's three chances to get a god roll for a single weapon, each week. If you didn't like the roll, you could simply wait till next week.

    That's Armsday in a nutshell. Play the game, wait a bit, get a god roll. You might have to wait a long time, like those of us who missed out on Hung Jury and still wanted a Triple Tap/Extended/Firefly Omolon scout, but the point is you could do it.

    Bungie, you have a problem with having too many guns and too many perks. I don't know how many gun and perk combos there are in the game, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out it was in the hundreds of thousands. There are guns I want that I still haven't seen, because the pools are so diluted.

    tldr; Bring back Armsday.
