    Hello Guardians,

    Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

    We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

    With DIM (and other services) being down all day, it's amazing to see how vital they are to a healthy playing experience.

    Bungie took down their login services earlier today for an unspecified amount of time, and DIM, Braytech, Trials Report etc have all been down due not being able to login to Bungie servers.

    Personally, I just want to say how horrible it is to play this game without DIM. It's borderline torment to pick up bounties or change activities and not being able to pull weapons from your vault or quickly change loadouts.

    Trials - New Passage (For the not 500+ Flawless Players)

    Passage of Perseverance - " Losses and Flawless Rewards are disabled on this passage. Players can continue to gain standard 'Wins' until 7 are reached to obtain standard Trials rewards. This card can only be redeemed once per week, per character."

    What do you guys think? I think it would be a decent middle-ground, easy to implement fix before I ever expect them to fix their matchmaking so that players can get something out of it. Would probably result in a lot more token redemptions / players each week as well.

    Make it an option to turn it on/off, it's ridiculous.

    edit : wow this completely blew up, thanks for the awards kind strangers. Hopefully this will make it's way higher on Bungie QoL list.

    edit 2 : Seeing the same question quite often in the comments so I'll answer here. Traction massively increase your turn radius speed on controller but is useless on MnK. It's mandatory and a waste of a slot for something that we should be able to activate on the control tab or beeing intrinsic to our characters.

    Track catalyst charge kill progress through ghost

    Now that you can track triumphs, if you go to the catalyst triumph page after you unlock a certain catalyst, you can track and check the kill progress from ghost without having to go to weapon detail page everytime.

    Let conqueror remain gilded until grandmasters start up again the following season.

    Gilded conqueror lasts roughly 3-4 weeks before its taken away and the next season begins. People are able to go for gilded flawless/dredgen/unbroken nearly as soon as the season starts, so those gilds resetting at the end of each season makes sense to me.

    I understand this change would take a good bit of changes under the hood in regards to how gilded titles are kept, but it'd help make gilded conqueror feel less temporary than it currently is.

    The Cost of Changing Affinity’s on MW Armor is Incredibly Steep and Should Be Looked At

    My preference would be once armor is master-worked, affinity switching should be free— but if we are going to keep a cost associated with it, 3 golfballs (Masterwork Exotic Armor) seems excessive.

    Can we please get an icon to indicate where the legend/master lost sectors are on the destinations map

    It's pretty obnoxious to have to dig through EDZ, Europa, Tangled Shore, Moon, Cosmodrome to try and find where the lost sectors are. An icon on the active destination would be nice.

    If I wanted to be bored scanning planets, I would be playing Mass Effect 2

    Voidwalker Warlocks need to charge their grenades to use their upgraded versions. Revenant Hunters should too.

    Title. It makes no sense to me they get to use them with no downsides. Even if you consider picking one aspect over the other as the downside, well, Voidwalkers need to choose one subclass over the other, too.

    Can we please go back to the umbral system from season 11 where we could narrow our umbrals to 2 options without requiring a disproportionate amount of Mats.

    I'm so glad we still have the recaster and the ability to narrow down which possible rewards I can get... But I look at the cost of resources...the possible contents...and the possible rolls of those contents.... and before you know it actually receiving the weapon I want is a statistical anomaly.

    When you weigh the cost of focusing the advanced tiers against the number of possible weapons inside they're just not worth it. The basic level one is far and away a better buy.

    Overall it kind of feels like nothing we can do actually affects the rewards we're going to get. I play a lot... Like a lot... Like probably an unhealthy amount but because of my situation and health it's what I do... And even though I dump all these hours into it, it doesn't matter. For example, since beyond light I still have yet to get an ideal/psuedo ideal: xenoclast IV, Arctic Haze, Extraordinary Rendition, Royal Entry, Blast Battue, bottom dollar, time warn spire(20+ not one with high call...WUT?)

    Bungo, please open the gear floodgates... I mean y'all have to notice that anytime there's a fast Farm or it's a double loot drop weekend people swarm and the population spikes that weekend... Remember menagerie? We all really really really like not feeling like our time is wasted.

    Please make the wyverns orange bar enemies in the nightfall version of Glassway

    Or nerf their HP and damage to fit their red bar archetype. Being instakilled by one in a hero nightfall seems a little overwhelming. It'd make more sense for their damage to be this high as an orange bar. Alternatively, reducing their HP and damage to be more like a red bar enemy would be good as well.

    They literally stealth nerfed Novawarp.

    A lot of people heard about the Icarus Dash stealth nerf where you can't do it anymore while being slowed.

    Well, Novawarp received the same treatment with their teleport (Dark Blink). This means a single Shuriken or Duskfield 100% disables the super. You used to be able to Dark Blink while slowed, which actually made Novawarp pretty good against stasis. I used to just Dark Blink right through Revenant's tornados.

    While most other roaming supers can still fight back when slowed by using their attacks to move out of the way or throw projectiles. Novawarp? Just stuck in place, literally. And if they're running Whisper of Durance, that's half your super you just lost not being able to move. That's if you were lucky enough that your opponents couldn't kill a stationary target with no long-range abilities.

    Edit: Went back and read the patch note again and I noticed they added this line:

    • Fixed an issue where Icarus Dash and Blink were still able to be used while slowed. (Added missed note on May 12)

    So this is not a mistake, it is intentional. Also, you could never "blink" while slowed, just like you could never double jump while slow. This specifically targeted "dark blink".

    I don't know, Bungie going out of their way to actually nerf Novawarp and buff Stasis right now is just the wildest thing to me!

    We seriously need dupe protection for pinnacles, especially with them being the only source of +power other than artifact XP now.

    I wasn't too bothered by it when each season was +50 and you'd build up pinnacles overtime, but now that every season is only +10 and we have such a limited source of pinnacles (yes, I know the raid is coming), like with all of the pinnacles except the last one being removed from prophecy, it's extra frustrating when 4 of my pinnacles this week have all been 1312 gauntlets and I haven't been able to get past 1310 as a result. I might as well have not played half the activities that I have done this week.

    Even if there's just some minor dupe protection, even guaranteeing that the next drop you get will at least not be identical to your previous one, that would be great. There's no reason to make your progress entirely dependent on RNG like this; it just makes it so some lucky players (usually the streamers and youtubers who want to hit the raid day one, ironically) get like +5 ahead of you who only gets +1 overall PL that week. It just feels like yet another attempt to increase the artificial grind, yet entirely RNG dependent as lucky players will get more light than others per week.

    I haven't had a smile on my face playing PvP in Destiny like this in a long while. I don't have to care about what is meta whatsoever, it's just me and eleven other crazy Guardians rocket-jumping across a map with wild abandon. I know the mode isn't new, but this is exactly the kind of thing Destiny 2 needs more of - lighthearted, fun activities that exist outside of the core grind of the game. If you haven't tried the mode yet, I highly urge you to do so, Destiny rocket jumping is absolute hilarity.

    Shayura's Wrath vs. Chroma Rush - a demonstration of the frustrating overlap between AR's and SMG's and the general craziness of the midrange primary sandbox.

    -Chroma Rush - 0.77 second TTK, 9h1b (90% headshot accuracy), max falloff range of 26.6 meters

    -Shayura's Wrath - 0.8 second TTK, 7h2b (78% headshot accuracy), max falloff range of 28 meters (w/o adept range mod)

    An SMG with the same TTK as a rifle, but better range and fewer headshots required for an optimal TTK, also better hip-fire and in-air accuracy. The tradeoff? Mag and reserve size - barely relevant in PvP. It takes a single range barrel to hit Chroma Rush max range values on Shayura's - mine has Full Bore and that's it, and has 26.5 meters before falloff.

    Well, since range is clearly what is supposed to set AR's apart from SMG's, the solution is pretty simple right? Simply buff rapid fire frame range! Pushing it out towards 30 meters at max range should help Chroma pull away from it's CCQ peer...

    ...and put it smack dab in the range bracket of adaptive frame AR's. With which they share a nearly identical TTK. And headshot/bodyshot ratio (9h1b vs 8h1b). And total shots to kill (10 vs 9).

    Oh, also, Precision frame AR's have 30m of range. And a 0.8 second TTK. And require 100% headshot accuracy.

    So. Here's the situation. Rapid Fire Frames have to have low range, because adaptives and precisions have medium range, and they all share the same TTK so they have to be split up without adaptives or precisions getting pushed out towards 35-40 meters, which is the range of a high impact frame, which also have ~0.8 second TTK, but they can't get pushed out to 45 meters to make room, because that would pressure the scout rifles literally no one uses because most of them still suck and no one fights past 45 meters anyway.

    4 archetypes. Virtually the same TTK. One singled out and given SMG level range without any of the benefits. Competing with an SMG that can nearly reach the range of longer range AR's.

    As you can see, the entire situation is, for lack of a better term, fucked up. AR's are all stuck at 0.8ish second TTK's because if they kill faster they compete with SMG's. If they kill any slower, however, they become absolute trash. They can't have their range bumped up because they would compete with pulses and scouts while simultaneously boxing out 140's, all of which are getting their teeth kicked in by 120's anyway. So we are left with a situation where AR's, despite being perfectly fine weapons, are prevented from finding a consistent place in the sandbox from both above and below their range and TTK brackets.

    Meanwhile, SMG's are just chillin', waiting for Stasis to get nerfed to get even stronger and killing it in PvE on the side.

    If possible, masterworked exotic armor should have 5 mod slots and more energy

    Currently, exotic armor costs 3 golf balls (ascendant shards) to completely masterwork with no appreciable upgrade over legendary armor currently, so there's no reason for masterworking exotic armor other than to be a resource sink, IMO.

    Our mod slots, especially the middle two, are ridiculously crowded. If implemented, this could help with more diverse builds while giving a meaningful reason to why masterworking a piece of armor being so expensive.

    Deathbringer Reload Tip

    I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere yet. But with deathbringer getting a catalyst (and a good one at that) I imagine a lot of people will start to use it. To maximize your dps you can reload immediately after you shoot the seeker while still holding down your fire button to place the projectile. This will obviously give less downtown between rocket shots.
