Sunday Plz - Add Legendary Trace Rifles to the game! Posted: 09 May 2021 02:00 AM PDT Greetings Guardians! Ever since the conception of this sub, we've dealt with floods of reposts. We're sure you're familiar with them. Many are for important issues that are shared by the entire player base, while others are just for personal requests and desires for the game. The Bungie Plz was shortly implemented after conception as a central "wish-list" for all that we, the community, desired. It is completely user driven. With rare exceptions, nearly all submissions are sent in by you, the users of this subreddit! However, just like Destiny 2, our wiki article began to experience problems as it grew over time. It's been getting just a few sizes too big. We understand that the continued addition of topics has begun to encroach on your ability to continue the conversation towards matters that mean the most to you, and even though the Bungie Plz has seen so many successes over the years, with well over 100 officially implemented game suggestions and desires, there's still dozens upon dozens of retired topics that haven't seen the light of day for many months...even years! Every Sunday, this thread will focus on a certain retired Bungie Plz topic of your choosing, voted by the users. We will curate a list of 5 suggestions to help focus your voting process, but you get the final say on what is talked about each week. By all means, if one topic is overwhelmingly desired despite not being part of those 5 items we picked, then we'll be happy to go with that one. Our curated list is only to help you focus the conversation. The only stipulation is that the topic must be new every week. This thread is for the entirety of the Bungie Plz wiki, so no back-to-back voting! Think of these threads as a way to keep the spark alive, and to bring old topics up to fresh light. For example, do we still want to move Queenbreaker to the special slot? Or does Arbalest serve that purpose well enough now? Do we still want an all-black shader, or do we want to bring back Prismatic Matrix? You tell us! This is your conversation, guardians. For this week, you voted on: Add Legendary Trace RiflesFor next week, here are some suggestions:
Sound off in the sticky comment for which one sounds good (just give us a moment to put it up), or anything else in the Bungie Plz wiki that catches your eye, and we'll do our best to accommodate! [link] [comments] |

To the people who say “git gud” about players complaining about being curb stomped in Trials Posted: 09 May 2021 02:50 PM PDT You can't get better when you constantly play Gilded Flawless players. They don't do anything but eat, sleep, Jack off and piss Trials and Crucible. Putting any player that isn't in their level against them just rewards them with easy steam rolls. I said what I said, and I'll take my downvotes from the gatekeepers. Players that do this help the community become more toxic every day. Edit: I won't vote or respond to comments. This post is stationed as a statement. I won't come back to this post in the future; Thank you for continually proving the posts point. Hell, I don't even have the notifications turned on. Burn the witch in the comments for all I care. [link] [comments] |
Please God make it Tuesday already Posted: 09 May 2021 05:43 AM PDT I don't care what anyone says I'm so excited for Season of the Splicer. I mean come on, new story missions, exotics, and the vibe zone that will be known as VoG. Only thing I'm upset about is transmog costing my life's savings. The whole roadmap in general has me hyped! I just realized that the only planet we have in the game right now is Earth. Posted: 09 May 2021 03:13 PM PDT The rest are all moons...and I the Tangled Shore is somewhere in the asteroid belt...I guess it's a planetoid? Not sure what it exactly is. I'm not up to date with the lore Byf please don't break into my house. [link] [comments] |
It has been X days since a New Y: The Collection Posted: 09 May 2021 03:59 PM PDT So, being on the two main subs for this game (DTG and Destiny2), I often see posts talking about how it has been [number of days] since [certain feature] to show how long its been and a sort of realization/wake up call for the community to rally and Bungie to fix the situation. For example, did you know it has been 1,341 days since a non-D1 exotic pulse rifle was introduced, that being Vigilance Wing? So, it shows that Bungie might wanna consider making a new one. You get the idea. So, I wanted to make a megathead for this to put things in perspective. IT HAS BEEN...425 Days Since A Crucible Map Was Added. The last maps added were The Anomaly, The Cauldron, and Exodus Blue back in Season of the Worthy. 586 Days Since A New Crucible Map Was Added. The last map added was Fragment in Shadowkeep. 978 Days Since A Strike-Specific Award Was Added. The last ones were Mindbender's Ambition, Warden's Law, and Horror's Least, all the way back in Forsaken. 796 Days Since A New Gambit Map Was Added. The last map that arrived was New Arcadia, which came during Season of the Drifter. 516 Days Since A Season Had a 6-Man Matchmade Activity. The last one was The Sundial, added back in Season of Dawn. Season of the Splicer can't come soon enough. 825 Days Since the Dreaming City Was Story-Relevant.The last mention of the city and its Taken curse in a meaningful way was during The 21st Week of Forsaken, the 4th of February, where Mara Sov talked about the Stranger and left for unknown pastures. Mara has been mentioned since, but not in any significant way beyond a lore entry or single line of dialogue. 334 Days Since A New Dungeon Launched. The last was (arguably the best imo) Prophecy, launched in Season of Arrivals. 705 Days Since A New Exotic SMG Was Added. The last one was 474 Days Since A New Exotic Fusion Rifle Was Added. The last one was Bastion during Season of Dawn, which should definitely have not been roadmapped. 754 Days Since A New Exotic Linear Fusion Was Added. The last one was Arbalest, which launched during Season of the Drifter's Revelry event. 586 Days Since Iron Banner Got New ArmorThe last set was the Iron Will Armor, added in Shadowkeep. 180 Days Since D1-returning content was brought back with new story context, despite Bungie's promise of such. The Disgraced, a retelling of The Will of Crota strike back in D1, launched with new, Shaw Han-filled story. However, S.A.B.E.R, Devil's Lair, and presumably VoG (will) break the promise that all D1 content will have a new story around them. 180 Days Since the Darkness Has Made A Significant Appearance.Beyond Light's campaign saw the Darkness gift us Stasis and abandon Eramis, but nothing beyond that. No, Presage does not count since it deals with remnants of Darkness, not the Darkness itself. 215 Days Since Savathün Has Made A Significant Appearance. In Week 18 of Season of Arrivals, Nokris returned as the Supplicant of Savathun, giving her message to us as we killed him without a second thought. Afterwards, the mission looped, and she has been in hiding ever since. 1027 Days Since Factions Have Been Relevant. The last faction rally was on the week of November 17th, 2018 during War-mind. (Autocorrect). New Monarchy won. 1341 Days Since Reconstruction of the Tower Began. They work pretty slow. If there was an Empyrean Foundation to restore it like Trials had back in Dawn, I'd be down. 732 Days Since Mithrax Appeared In The Story.Zero Hour in Season of the Drifter saw the Guardians stop a Devil heist to reclaim SIVA alongside our favorite Fallen Kell. Season of the Splicer will break this counter. Those are all the big ones I can think of at the moment. If there are more you want to see, let me know! 1341 Days Since A New Exotic Pulse Rifle Was Added. The last ones added are a tie between Vigilance Wing and Graviton Lance, which arrived with Destiny 2's launch back in 2017. No, Outbreak, Juju and NTTE do not count since they are not new. [link] [comments] |
Here’s hoping Season of the Splicer has a fix for teleporting enemies. Posted: 09 May 2021 12:00 PM PDT Title. If enemy instant teleport isn't fixed, at least reduce boss knock back so they can't teleport right in front of you and instastomp you into a wall. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 May 2021 06:27 PM PDT I always see Trials compared with GMs, as they're both Endgame activities for the best PvP and PVE players respectively. The difference is that you don't have to do a GM nightfall to get a Palindrome. It takes a few runs of a legendary/master NF to get one if you're lucky. In trials, unless you are planning on going flawless, there is no reason not to jump off a cliff for the bounty. The amount of sweats and straight up professional Trials players out there make getting to 5 wins (getting different loot than from the engram) either torturous or just straight up impossible. Solution? Winning a match has a chance at dropping trials loot. That's it. Maybe not guaranteed, but the chance would bring in enough casual players to where it would be easier to get wins, but going flawless and getting Adept gear from the lighthouse would still be for the best players only. Reminder that Season of the Splicer is an even-numbered season which means it'll be bad. Posted: 09 May 2021 06:04 AM PDT Seasons 6,8,10,12 - All bad or underwhelming. Seasons 7,9,11,13 - All good, had a nice amount of content and story progression or were otherwise just fun to play So the next season (14, even number) is going to be a bad one. There's no way I'm wrong about this and my logic is infallible. Checkmate vexists. [link] [comments] |
Closing thoughts on Season of the Chosen: this is what a season should be Posted: 09 May 2021 01:33 PM PDT Warning: LONG Going into this season off the end of Season of the Hunt definitely left something to be desired, and Season of the Chosen more than fulfilled that for four reasons: -Loot quantity AND quality -A lot of character building -Fun content -A frontloaded roadmap I think these four are the pillars on which we should build seasons going forward. Let's go into detail on them a bit more:
It's undeniable that this season brought a lot of loot in, and made sure that it was GOOD loot. Along with a full suite of seasonal weapons and two season pass weapons, Bungie delivered on their promise with 6 total new playlist weapons, with standouts in all of them. The Vanguard's Royal Entry is a great rocket launcher, Shaxx's Frozen Orbit has a diverse perk pool with a clean scope, and is one of the first widely used high zoom snipers in Destiny 2, and Bottom Dollar is another excellent PvP option. All of this came with a bunch of brand new perks as well, shaking up the meta.
Between emotionally charged cutscenes and lore, flavorful character dialogue, and exposition from multiple characters in the Helm, we were treated to character development and changes, such as Saint's troubled relationship and world view, Zavala's acceptance of Crow, and Osiris' souring following Sagira's death. This made it feel like we were learning a lot more about the characters of Destiny, and made them feel more human and relatable.
Instead of an easy seasonal activity that just felt like busywork, Bungie managed to create a seasonal activity that was fun and rewarding. This was primarily achieved through a high enemy density and enough health on the enemies so that they didn't feel like paper, but also weren't all their own little raid bosses. We also got a brand new strike, and an excellently designed mission in the form of Presage.
Almost all of this was packed into the first month or so of the season, instead of slowly drip feeding it. This helped make the season feel more complete out of the gate, instead of just the barebones and framework. All in all Season of the Chosen sets a new benchmark for what a season should be. I'm looking forward to Season of the Splicer, which looks to have all of this and more. Well done, Bungie [link] [comments] |
Grave Robber would be more useable if it acted like demolitionist but w melee Posted: 09 May 2021 05:16 PM PDT Would be a sweet perk if it gave some melee energy w kills like demolitionist does for grenade energy, and let it reload the whole magazine not a "portion". Right now I shard 90% of guns w grave robber, don't get me wrong it's not completely useless but it could be more relevant if some changes were made. Thanks for looking Edit: alternatively because some folks don't like change, they could add a new perk like brawler or something that would essentially be melee demolitionist. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 May 2021 09:20 AM PDT In my opinion, Legend and Master Lost Sectors are lowkey some of the best additions to the game in a long, long time. They're engaging, challenging, and REALLY fun. They're a great activity for endgame players, and really force you to think about loadout, strategy, and mods in a way that's not unlike GMs, but WAAAY less stressful and frustrating. It's one of the few activities that I can do 10+ times in a row and it's still really enjoyable - mastering the flow, planning strats for each champion, figuring out the best DPS approach for the boss. It's a BLAST, and as much as I absolutely love running with everyone in my clan, it's the perfect answer to being an endgame player but wanting to fly solo sometimes. They're also fantastic learning experiences for New(er) Lights. I have a few friends who started playing a few months ago and are at soft cap, but had NO idea how to deal with each champion type or use mods properly, and had little loadout experience beyond the few weapons they were comfortable with. Running them through Legend LSs was a great educational experience for them, and they're now much more versed in endgame mechanics. All that being said, I think that there's a ton of room for expansion and improvement here. The targeted Exotics idea is GREAT, I think I can speak for most of the community on that being a fantastic idea that should continue. However - here's some random additional ideas that I think would be very cool to see implemented. I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks as well - please chime in. - EDZ has 17 Lost Sectors. While some are way too short to make good candidates, a bunch of them would be amazing - The Drain, for example. Nessus has 5 LSs, several of which would be decent candidates. Tangled Shore also has 5 with a few great choices, especially The Empty Tank as it has sort of a wave mechanic in it. Long story short - ADD MORE! - I think the loot pool is far too limited. Rewards on completing a solo master are a chance at the exotic, but if that doesn't drop, you'll get... a blue. MAYBE a World Legendary, and MAYBE a Core, which is pretty much exactly what you'd get running the LS normally. This feels... icky. Also, because the Exotic drop rates between Master and Legend are so similar, it gives us no big incentive to ever run Masters. I think that on solo Legend, a core should be almost guaranteed, with a slight chance at a Prism or an UM. On Master, it should drop a Powerful piece of world gear, and a Prism should be common, with a slight chance (maybe 10-25%) at a Shard. - I think having a playlist mode would be amazing, or at least a way to do ones that aren't 'active' for the exotic drops that day. This would be especially important if the loot pool is expanded/modified. Grinding the same one over and over is fine, but the ability to do multiple different ones in a row, all with the chance of at least decent loot? YES, please. There'd have to be time in between to reconfigure loadout, o'course. - Give us triumph/stat tracking! We can track all aspects of Nightfalls, raids and pretty much every other activity in the game. Let me show off how many seasonal or career Master runs I've done. - Give us flawless incentives! No idea what they'd be, but if you can flawless a Master in under the time limit, you should get something slightly shiny. Hell, give us Grandmaster LSs, where flawless is required, no revives whatsoever, and the timer kills you when it runs out. - If you want to run with the 'targeted farming' idea, give us more active options on a given day. For instance, have one that grants chance at a Shard, one for Legs, one for Arms, one for an Exotic weapon, one for a Pinnacle Legendary drop, etc. Anyways - just some ideas. Please chime in with your feelings. I feel like since the assets are all built already, these are great 'easy wins' to add to the game that give us a lot more to do. Thanks for reading! ---------------------- EDIT: Wow, thanks for all the upvotes, awards and attention, y'all have doubled my karma, haha. This is a great community. Reading through everything, top 2 community thoughts about these Lost Sectors are: 1) like I said in OP, rewards are borked, we should get MW materials from them, and exotic drop rates should have RNG protection on them. 2) something I didn't think about but agree with 1000% - for those of us who really don't dig solo play, locking the new seasonal exotic armor pieces behind solo content feels terrible. Let people earn the new armor another way, either in Master/GM NFs or something else. Hopefully, u/dmg04 can peek this and pass these ideas along. Easy to implement, but clearly, the majority of us are passionate about Lost Sectors and making them a bigger and better part of the game. Thanks again everybody! [link] [comments] |

Im curious. Back in year one how many of you actually let Mithrax live Posted: 09 May 2021 10:59 AM PDT I killed them both tbh. I accidentally shot mithrax after killing the knight and then mythrix attacked me so i killed him. How many of you left him alive? Or did you leave the knight alive? Or kill them both like me [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 May 2021 09:03 AM PDT Yeah, I know the Vault topic has been beaten to death, but I really miss Titan as a patrol zone. Probably one of my favorite destinations, at least from Y1. It saddens me that we might never see it again :( [link] [comments] |

0 mobility and no traction on console is actually hillarious. Posted: 09 May 2021 02:42 PM PDT My friend challenged me to play some crucible games with all white armor and blue weapons and dear lord I was not expecting the BIG CHUNGUS energy of 0 mobility. I feel like we are all pretty used to having around 30 mobility when we minimize it, at the very least if you have all masterworked gear you have to have at least T1 mobility, but even that is nothing compared to T0. It's like your guardian has muscular atrophy. Add tractionless on controller on top of that and it feels like you are in a slow mo time bubble compared to everyone else. It's great! Posted: 09 May 2021 05:50 AM PDT ... and Bungie, I love you, but on behalf of moms everywhere, you guys are total jerks for picking this weekend to launch the Igneous Hammer blowout sale. [link] [comments] |
The lack of communication around maps is actually kind of uncharacteristic for Bungie Posted: 09 May 2021 05:00 PM PDT People have had a variety of issues with the game over the years - hell, even in Year 4 specifically, including sunsetting, stasis, matchmaking, and most recently transmog to name a few. But while many of these are, of course, not solved to everyone's satisfaction, there has been one constant with these issues: communication. Bungie and the CMs regularly come out to address that they are seeing these issues, and sometimes what they're working on to fix them, be it through TWABs, Reddit posts, Twitter posts, etc. It's one thing that I actually find really impressive about the development of the game. So it is in this context that the lack of communication around maps is all the weirder. The last time the number of maps was mentioned was, and this is not an exaggeration, August 20th, 2020, rapidly approaching nine months ago. While you can argue, and in some cases I may even agree with you, that there are more important issues to deal with, even in pvp/gambit, that doesn't take away from the fact that maps are a legitimate issue that has been pointed out a lot, increasingly so in the past month or so, yet there has been radio silence in response. I can't be the only one who finds this a bit weird - with how communicative Bungie normally is, this silence sticks out a lot more than it would otherwise. I think a lot of people were hoping for some news on this front with the Season of the Splicer reveal, but since that doesn't appear to be happening, we're basically back to square one. And I know that 'we're listening' is a meme here, I get it. But honestly, even that forever-memed set of words would be reassuring right now, because at the moment, while I have to believe Bungie is listening, there isn't any solid indication that this issue is being heard. So I ask of you, Bungie: are you listening? I think a lot of people want to see this radio silence, one that is so out-of-step with how you usually operate, be broken. [link] [comments] |
Anti barrier rounds should pierce servitor immunity Posted: 09 May 2021 07:10 PM PDT In high level content (like master level and above) barrier servitors are some of the worst enemies to fight, why? Easy, you can't do anything about them. if they make a group of enemies invulnerable then you have to shoot the servitor, but if you do this then all the enemies including it will shoot you and kill you. Ok so I just focus the ads, oh wait that's right I can't because the servitor gives them immunity. It's also just a little bit of consistency since we can kill hobgoblins when they're immune so why not servitor immunity. [link] [comments] |
[ART] Old School Trials Sunbreaker Posted: 09 May 2021 06:45 AM PDT In between commissions and other projects, I've been slowly going through all the subclasses and drawing them. Things started with warlocks last year in particular a Trials Dawnblade that got a lot of love. So, I've made the Gunslinger and Sunbreaker wearing Trials gear as well. Eventually, I'll get to them all! Big project but hoping to have them all done by the end of the year when I'm not drawing other stuff. Hope you all enjoy! I really liked drawing this guy. I'm a warlock but definitely don't draw enough punchy bois. [link] [comments] |
Will titan barricades ever block taken knight fire or phalanx blasts? This feels SO bad every time. Posted: 09 May 2021 09:17 AM PDT This has been a thing for way too long and it's extremely frustrating. I can't reliably protect myself or my team against taken knights or phalanxes and that sucks. Many flawless runs and gambit matches have been ruined by this. As a titan main, I just want a yes or no. This just feels like one of those things where feedback gets lost in the void. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 May 2021 07:00 PM PDT Pretty simple post. Gambit is the bigger issue here in my opinion. It is broken and just stupid after the changes they made in Beyond Light. Heavy and invading is still and problem and has been since day one of its inception and that is coming from a Reckoner who slogged through the title. Crucible is just plain boring without new maps or modes. One day I was playing a match and just.......stopped, left the match, and haven't gone back since. Same shit different day it seems. Where are the fun game modes? Give me a mode where everyone keeps spawning with random weapons or something. I just want to have fun and not have to sweat my ass off every match. Hand cannon and shotguns....every match. I am a pretty decent player, but it just.....sucks. PvE is spot on though. Take some of that effort and shift it to these modes. [link] [comments] |
