    Nightfall - The Ordeal: The Glassway

    Modifiers:

    • Nightfall: Adept
      • Scorched Earth: Enemies throw grenades significantly more often.
    • Nightfall: Hero
      • All previous modifiers
      • Champions: Overload: This mode contains Overload Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Overload mod.
      • Champions: Barrier: This mode contains Barrier Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Anti-Barrier mod.

    I would rather be overwhelmed by too many enemies than one shot by a red bar.

    I had this epiphany when I finished the gm today. Wyverns are tough and that's cool but getting one shot by a red bar sucks. I'd rather they have yellow bars and less of them or have their damage per shot dialed down. I'd also rather face 15 goblins that I could beat as opposed to two wyverns that could one shot me.

    EDIT: I will also say that my team hated seeing red bar wyverns than overload champs. That's fd up, right?

    Anyone notice lately the Eliksni Quarter banner this week? Looking Far Different now.

    Not sure if this a spoiler or not, and not sure if lore or discussion or both

    I just decided to head into the Eliksni Quarter this week and noticed the banner here.

    I wasn't sure if its been that way for a bit or a new update. Kinda makes me think of saints colors or its just a coincidence. I mean it could be the traveler now too.

    What do you all think? I'm inclined to think its related to saint and his improved relations with the eliksni since that cutscene a couple weeks back.

    Honestly, the Seasonal grind of “do Seasonal Activity, upgrade a vendor, rinse and repeat” is getting a bit stale.

    I'm sure we all let out a big sigh when we saw the Splicer Gauntlet's upgrade tree this Season, and how familiar it looks to the War Table, Variks's Sabotage, the Prismatic Recaster, the Seraph Bunkers, and the Sundial Obelisks. Yes, that's right, every Season since Season of Dawn, we've had to upgrade these systems by doing specific Activities related to those Seasons (excluding Variks, which was more general Europa content).

    I wouldn't be shocked if next Season we'll have "another vendor with three rows" to upgrade. At this point, it's probably too far along in development to make any changes to whatever that system is going to be.

    When The Witch Queen releases though, I really hope we can move slowly away from this model, or at least not rely on it every single Season. All it has done, at least for me, is make each Season feel like more of a slog when it's basically the same thing over and over. What's worse is that the upgrades themselves are usually one-dimensional: the first upgrade gives you extra utility, with the second and third subsequent upgrades just boosting those utilities further. It'd be nice if the upgrades were more creative and diverse. The "Expunge shortcut" upgrades from this Season come to mind.

    I think a new Seasonal model, or at least a reprieve from what we have now, is overdue.

    EDIT: Wow this post is blowing up. Hopefully someone from Bungie or Paul Tassi sees this.

    EDIT 2: Oh my goodness, thank you for all of the Awards, and especially to whoever gifted me Gold and Argentium, you're too generous.

    I got the Destiny package and there was a hidden message on the tape

    Hello there,

    I'm Simon, an "active lurker" on this sub and small german content creator. I was pretty active during the D1 days, and semi-active during D2, but I do a lot of different gaming stuff now.

    To my surprise I got sent one of the splicer packages with the tape, I really don't know how I deserved it, I am however very thankful of course.

    The tape contains the splicer soundtrack (which is pretty sick), but since I'm a hobby music producer I figured I'd record the thing into my interface to check the spectrogram. Unfortunately there was nothing of note - but on the end of side B, which curiously contained only 3 tracks as opposed to the 8 on side A was a small message.     I've created a community exclusively for sub-1 KD PvP players, intended to be a fun opportunity for people who like PvP but don't feel they can compete with the current matchmaking system

    A couple of days ago, I made a post on CrucibleGuidebook to gauge interest on an exclusively <1 KD server.

    The goal of the server is to provide a fun environment for players who enjoy Destiny's PvP but are discouraged by the current matchmaking system.

    The post gained a lot of traction so I created the server, which has already grown to 100 members in a day. I personally go through each member that joins to verify that they are <1 KD, so they can participate in scrims and events with other players in their same situation, away from much more experienced players.

    Even if you have no interest in scrims or tournaments, if you enjoy the gunplay of Destiny, like the idea of PvP, and want a less competitive environment than you'd find when doing matchmaking, feel free to check out the server.

    Requirements to join:

    • sub 1 KD in at least current and most recent seasons

    LMG's need a PVE damage buff similar to what rockets got a few updates ago so they will be worthwhile in the meta

    As of right now, it seems the only LMG worth using is Xeno, and that is an exotic, so does it really count?

    Even the Archon's Thunder, which has stupid high impact, is not that effective at single target damage. Neither is Corrective Measure. It was so exciting to have one of the OG guns return that was always so powerful and well rounded, but now when you use it, you feel that it's completely underwhelming.

    Rockets got a 30% PVE damage boost a couple updates ago and it brought them right into the meta and they're in a good place. Not overpowered. They do a nice amount of damage. So LMG's need that same 30% next.

    Most of the exotic sparrows look like they are just made up of random objects from the game mashed together. Nothing special or unique about them. Especially when compared to "Always on time".

    They really feel like a waste of development time with regards to the advancing the game. I don't think I have ever been excited about a sparrow. EXCEPT IN D1.......Prismatica was awesome.

    The unique speed of "Always on time" makes all other sparrows pointless.

    Please stop making us play gambit, or give 5 minutes of thought to it in your next dev meeting.. In my 2 hours of gambit today I encountered a long list of problems.

    Moted still go underground ... Literally

    LuL heavy ammo (I play 3 games without a single drop while every invader seems to have at least a full clip of Xeno, which you can't pull from the wall)

    Adds didn't spawn at some point when we had 88 and the enemies where on the boss.

    High value target dropping only 10 moted instead of 14

    Lag in general.

    Teams of 4 absolutely steam rolling solos!!!

    And many many more problems that I can't even remember, all I know is that gambit needs to be fixed or removed.

    I loaded the tower on my hunter and it was filled with taken blights, loaded on my titan and warlock and it was gone. Can't see anyone talking about it so was just wondering if anyone else saw this.

    Could you consider maybe changing the catalyst for it to provide a rampage-like effect for each stack of overcharge, and move the current stability bonus it provides to a base stat increase instead? While the stability increase is nice and all, I just don't think it pulls enough weight as a catalyst for a RAID EXOTIC. Thoughts?

    I'd like Elemental Wells to float like stasis shards. A mod that attracts them to guardians would be nice too!

    I'm really liking the well mods releases this season. Much nicer doing some build crafting as opposed to the ones last season.

    I would like to see the wells suspended in the air though similar to stasis shards. They get knocked all around and are hard to find in my opinion.

    Also could we get a mod next season that pulls them toward you?? Maybe 1 energy cost (no elemental affinity) that allows you to stack them for greater pull?

    Again, I have liked the build opportunities, but wells need some TLC.

    I may just bite the bullet and get it done, but man.. the champion mods this season, plus the rewards and the strikes themselves.. thinking about just waiting for Spire and doing a few casually for shards.

    Titles should retain the symbol and number of gildings, even when not gilded for the current season. The color change should be the primary change.
