Free unlimited shaders is one of the coolest things ever

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 01:58 PM PDT

    Just wanted to say that.
My guardians and weapons have never looked better, and it's refreshing to change their look every few days.
It even makes me exited to receive new shaders since I can use any of them whenever and how many times I want to.

Bungie, having an occasional sit down with developers like the awesome podcast recently would feel great for the community to wrap their heads around the process and innovations of destiny.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 11:35 AM PDT

Bungie has done this on other podcasts like Fireteam Chat and on their livestreams a few years ago. I think that whenever developers sit down, discuss and lay out their visions and design process(without leaking any upcoming stuff of course). It provides a different feeling of transparency and clarity on how the game is growing. It's very interesting, and as long as it's respectful; I think a podcast like this every 4-6 months with big community members would be awesome!

Bungie, please add a clear all mods button to armour pieces!

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 04:07 AM PDT

Very annoying having to unequip each mod when respeccing, would be a good QOL change.

Now that all of the different Overrides are out, they should rotate on a daily basis.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 09:15 AM PDT

We have all three, but we can only play one a week. If they were on a daily rotation, there would be more variety and it wouldn't be as repetitive.

How bout we ditch elemental energy types on armor completely?

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 04:30 PM PDT

We can still basically use the same system if they made it so slotting in an elemental mod locks other elemental mods that don't match. If you throw Recuperation on your boots, the rest of your slots on those boots can only be solar or neutral mods. Pop all those solar mods off and you can do the same for Arc or Void.

Basically, by doing that you remove the needless and excessive cost of spending a full 10 tiers of an element just to swap it, without having to rebalance mod strength interactions between elements.

Can we replace Hip Fire Grip on Bad Juju with something like zen moment or killing wind?

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 04:34 AM PDT

You know, something that works alongside it's main exotic perk. I have never once used this weapon in hip fire and it seems counter intuative.

Saint-14 may be a monster to the Elsinkni but he never went out to test his exotics guns indiscriminately on them.

We are all monsters. Just because "none lived to speak of these horrors" doesn't mean they didn't happen.

In the light of all the Titan post recently I want to point out how much Titan lack diversity in terms of supers compare to Hunters and Warlocks

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 11:08 AM PDT

Out of 7 supers 5 of them are roaming melee CC supers(except throwing hammer) why do we need so much CC this is why there was a little amount of titans using Behemoth in PVE because the super is just a worse version of Striker's super

I know it might be to late but I hope if we will get a new subclass in TWQ it won't be another roaming melee super which is only good for CC because we sure as hell have enough of those

What if I told you that not everything that challenges your handcanon peek shooting is broken?

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 07:37 AM PDT

It's GL nerf time, isn't it?

No more happy peeking from a corner makes me sad and break in tears Bungo. I have been doing it for ages but no more. I don't want to adjust my playstlye, I only have 1 playstlye, I peek in Destiny and peek in real life streets to build muscle memory.

It must work in every scenario, against any weapon, if not, sad. I hate being farmed in a corner by a GL user but, if it can be nerfed, why would I adapt?

Please, remove the reduced reload speed for Dual Loader.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 01:12 PM PDT

Subsistence's drawback was removed and it became a SUBSTANTIALLY better perk because of it and went from a mediocre choice to a high-tier one.

Dual Loader, even without a drawback, wouldn't be stronger than Recombination or Auto-Loading Holster. It would promote more perk diversity on shotguns.

The Destiny Community needs to do a WAY better job managing Datamining/Leaks

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 06:50 AM PDT

    TL;DR

    • Don't be a jerk and spread datamined information like everyone knows it

    • If you want to see datamined stuff, keep it in r/raidsecrets

    • If you see something in r/raidsecrets and aren't sure its datamined or not... keep it in r/raidsecrets.

Obviously.... POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW. I won't post anything specific in this post, but be warned of links provided.

Ever since Bungie turned Destiny's story telling up to 11, the destiny community has seen so many issues with datamining and leaks becoming commonplace.

Just to be clear; Datamining and Leaks are ok. If people want to datamine future in-game messages, armor sets, eververse rotations, cut scenes, and more then they should be able to do so. The challenge is how the information spreads like wildfire and can ruin future story beats.

Take for example... Destiny Twitter. I like to follow "Destiny" as a whole to be up-to-date on info from my favorite streamers, destiny devs, and more. I'm sure this isn't uncommon for others as well. It gets really disappointing when you come across a tweet like this then:

EDIT: removing imgur link below to prevent reddit image preview from showing it.

To their credit, the tweet was later taken down. But just putting "Spoiler" and then immediately with the quest information doesn't help. People like to skim information and will sometimes go straight to the picture instead.

r/DestinyLore has been having this problem as well. It's almost gotten to the point that you have to go in with the expectation that you will be spoiled from datamining. Even the weekly Thursday Lore post in this subreddit has the same problem. Which sucks, because Bungie has done a Phenomenal job with story telling the past couple of seasons and I wish we could enjoy it without spoilers.

r/DestinyLore is constantly fighting a battle against potential end of season spoilers. I won't post any of the specific leaks... but just filter by top posts over the past month and you will easily find them.

What can YOU do to be a spoiler-free champion?

    • Don't post data-mined information like its free knowledge. If something says "Spoiler" or "leak"... then don't post it.

    • If you absolutely want to discuss datamined info; head over to r/raidsecrets. At this point, they are basically the datamined subreddit and actually have really good discussions around leaks.

    • Treat r/raidsecrets information like Las Vegas.... what happens in r/raidsecrets stays in r/raidsecrets.

EDIT: Looks like some of popular Destiny News Channels are looking to cut back on data mined info after a Bungie developer gave some feedback around leaks

Finally Legendary Bunker E15. Not going to stop until I get the Telesto catalyst.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 05:15 PM PDT

I've got 1310 gear, half the exotics weapons in the game, soloing this should be doable. Just gonna get a little advice, let me check youtube and read some guides.

"Start by equipping the sword override mod..."

Okay, that video came out 2 weeks ago but was from last season. I've only been playing a couple months, but I know that's out of date. Next video...

    "You'll want to use Anarchy..."

Yeah, I really want to. Only 240 spoils to go! Next.

"Use all masterworks weapons and armor, making sure to use protective light-"

Shit, I'd love to use that. Maybe some day Ada will sell it.

"Load up your hunter, they are the best choice here-"

    ffs, I have a warlock. That's it.

"Eriana's Vow with catalyst will make everything-"

stfu, even if I buy that gun now I won't have that catalyst finished for another 6 months.

"Equip the raid mod from season 8 that gives-"

wtf? Oh wait, this is a guide to soloing prophecy. whew.

Never mind. Going as-is. Shouldn't be much harder than a heroic nightfall, right?

    Removing cooldowns for consumable items.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 03:43 PM PDT

Can we remove cooldowns for applying Matterweave and Telemetry buffs, etc? What's the point, other than to make us sit there and stare at the timer? Most people apply those buffs when not in battle or in flight to another destination. Those 15 seconds don't add any sort of dynamic to the game. If anything, they make people stand there during a strike and fall behind a bit if they're applying multiple buffs.

I just Solo-Flawlessed the Prophecy Dungeon. It is the hardest thing I have ever done in a video game since Dark Souls, and it feels amazing!

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 01:41 PM PDT

This was my first Solo Flawless of anything in D2 and by the end I could feel my heart pounding through my chest. The Emblem looks amazing and I shouted extremely loud when I killed the Kell Echo that my dog started barking! I felt like Rocky after he won the championship after going through so much. I had so many dumbass deaths that I lost count how many attempts it took me.

Also, Fuck Taken Knights. All my homies hate Taken Knights.

Prediction: In Season 15 we’ll get another batch of D1 weapons attached to Nightfalls. 1 of them will be the “Matador 64” shotgun.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 10:39 AM PDT

Something tells me, with how the current weapons are going with some fan favourites and other well known weapons, we'll the the Matador 64 as one of the 3 NF weapons.

As for the other two, I'm stumped.

Possibly the Eyasluna, and maybe Treads Upon Stars? But I don't feel as confident.

    What do you guys think?

Edit: people downvote anything I swear

Hit Detection has had us HOWLING for years yet nothing?!

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 06:37 AM PDT

Since Y1 of D2, Titans have suffered from unacceptable hit registration. There has been a number of threads highlighting this problem. Heck, Bungie promised Sentinels that they would look at their hit registration over 3 years ago.

Constantly, they lunge at their opponents for what would be a sure kill. You hear the sound of a hit and your opponent dies but NOTHING happens! Instead, you are reverse Uno carded into a shotgun death. Many of the exotics and abilities rely on the melee. Now with the angle nerf, Howl of the Storm is suffering the same fate as the light subclasses.

What angle am I supposed to hit here?!

I took a number of clips where the same thing happened. Looks to be on target, flashes like I got a hit, but the enemy walks through it like nothing happened.

Before Stasis naysayers reply with "lulz good," just remember that not connecting with your shot or melee when you are spot on no matter what class you are on is trash and infuriating.

Being forced to play CQC due to class design is already risky in a meta with rampant shotguns but when you are fighting outside mechanics on top of outplaying your opponent, the task becomes even more dubious.

Titans are already behind other classes again movement wise, let's fix hit registration across the board/ease up the angle nerf to make sure they aren't fighting an invisible enemy along with the guardian in front of them.

How to be an ass in Momentum Control

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 04:17 PM PDT

Sure, you've probably seen some Videos of trace rifles and you've probably encountered many in this game mode as well. They may be very strong but here are some other fun weapons and combos to use!

1- Erianas Vow: Nothing is more satisfying than sliding around, 1 tapping everyone in the head with this heavy hitting hand cannon. Allows for very fast pace gameplay

2- Wishender: Don't have radar? No problem. Wishender will 1 tap to the head so effortlessly, especially since you know exactly when the enemy will peek out.

3- Sword (Hilt): Yes, sword hilts are a one hit kill in MC. Great to pair with rat king or top tree tether for some extra stealth to get up close. Quickfang hunters, now is your time to shine

4- High Impact Fusion Rifles: we already know that these have pretty high range in regular crucible, but man you have got to see this. Two bolts to secure a kill and you can hit from cross map ranges you couldn't even imagine

5- Snipers: Time to be a true body shot bandit. Very fun to use with icarus grip, landing plenty of jump shots and securing kills without even thinking about aiming for the head, pairs well with smgs which also obliterate anyone in your path

Have fun out there and hope you don't get too much hate mail for these!

Played a strike with no hud and it was amazing

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 06:47 PM PDT

I turned off my hud to grab screenshot of the last city because it looked amazing!

I then loaded into a strike not realizing my hud was still off… it was different, but I really didn't want to turn it back on. The environment looked even better with it being the only thing I could focus on.

If enemies had damage states to indicate health levels I'd play regular strikes like that more often!

Not knowing when my ammo was spent or watching and waiting for my abilities to regenerate, even res-ing the blueberries was a cool and somehow different experience.

I encourage everyone to try one regular strike with the hud turned off, I had a blast.
