    Master VoG feels like the result of a Bungie employee being tilted by the playerbase calling raids "too easy"

    Feat: my team of Conquerors, very used to GM-level content, being spanked trying to open the fucking door

    Flawless raiders getting dunked on by never-miss Hobgoblins

    Excessive grinders, 300 season ranks deep, that still mean nothing in the face of a Vex that snuck past a Stasis turret

    On Console, this feels somewhat insurmountable, especially with pickup groups, to return to 5 weeks in a row for the available challenges. Feeling very deflated 6 weeks into this seal to be met with something that is essentially bloated artificial difficulty.

    The new Moon weapon perk pools changed for the worse

    Why are we sacrificing our old rolls for new ones consisting of under performing perks like Osmosis, Adrenaline Junkie, and Underdog? Nobody wants a Tranquility with this perk pool when you already had such a fantastic one with Auto Loading Holster and Fourth Time's the Charm or Firing Line.

    The only weapons I think made it out fine are Loud Lullaby and Every Waking Moment, but every other gun was filled to the brim with filler perks that have such a low usage percent that it won't even be worth using the weapon. I don't really think anyone will be foaming at the mouth for a Shotgun that can roll with Osmosis.

    There really was so much potential here to add in new perks with their already good/great old perk pool, but it feels like such a waste when what we wanted from the weapons are completely washed away for new, mediocre combinations.

    So wait.. Bungie removes Sunsetting then reissues weapons with boring perks then wonders why people gravitate towards specific perks and weapons?

    It just seems pretty petty if you ask me. This is how metas are created! I understand some weapons like rituals, adept, raid perks are meant to stay in that activity.

    But why can't I get rampage/overflow on Arc Logic again? Or Firing Line on Tranquility? Explosive Payload/Outlaw on A Loud Lullaby?

    I do not understand, Bungie hates metas but legit creates them.

    Ok seriously, it's time to take the sledgehammers to the plates in Insight Terminus

    Farming this GM this past week really reaffirmed that they need to fix the plates in the boss fight. I can't count the number of times I died to a gladiator, a dog, or that purple shit Kargen shoots out, trying to run out of a plate. There's literally no reason we should have to jump to get out. A 6-inch high lip shouldn't stop us cold in our movement. The plates don't stop us in the Vex public events. They didn't stop us in The Inverted Spire strike. They don't stop us in VoG, so why here? Please just send in the demolition crew to knock a few inches off the border of the Vex plates.

    Sudden case of the Weasels

    Anyone else suddenly noticing a spike in Weasel error codes occurring? Had it happen to me twice on two different occasions back to back when trying to go to the tower.

    Pretty curious to see if I am the only one or if other people are getting affected by this too.

    Gothalion: "Its 2021 and traction still isnt just an "option" instead of a mod you slot. Now that it doesnt add to mobility, it should really just be a toggle as it does nothing for KBM but is essential for some controller players and we then lose an extra mod as a result."

    Mechanical changes in Master Vault of Glass

    Modifiers

    • Champion: Overload
    • Champion: Barrier
    • Mob (more Champion spawns)
    • Match Game + Extra Shields
    • Chaff (radar is disabled)
    • Air Superiority (aerial units deal more damage)

    Loot

    • Loot is on a rotating pool, where gear drops a high-stat roll (weight changes each week)
    • Timelost weapons are awarded from completing the Weekly Challenge; only one weapon is available per week on a rotating pool
    • After Atheon, you can purchase Timelost weapons you have unlocked using 25 Spoils of Conquest.
    • Ascendant Shards and Enhancement Prisms are added to loot pools

    Rotator — This week's rotator is Hezen Vengeance off the Gatekeepers challenge


    Building the Spire

    • Overload Minotaurs added. Void Praetorians still exist, but Overload Minotaurs will spawn in place of them periodically

    • Barrier Hobgoblins added to final stand phase. A lot will spawn at once, so be wary
    • (Overload Minotaurs still exist)

    Atheon

    • Air Superiority is really impactful for this encounter, as all the enemies outside are Harpies or Supplicants
    • Keep your head on a swivel for Supplicants and pay attention to their beeping because you will not have a radar to alert you
    • Harpies have Arc shields
    • Barrier Hobgoblins will spawn inside the portal timelines
    • Atheon deals significantly more damage and can reliably kill you while you stand in a Well

    It's just stupid. Getting to the end of an activity and having to start again because your dumb fucking damage gate mechanic has bugged out. Find a way to stop it from happening, or remove the damage gates. Please.

    Also Inb4 people start acting like it's our job to find solutions for a game we're paying money to play.

    (Small misleading bug) When you complete a Lectern Weapon, it shows as being sunset and dropping at 1100, however when you collect it WILL drop at 1310...

    New light experience in season 14

    I started playing Destiny at the beginning of Season of the Splicer. I've been wanting to play this game for a really long time despite the harsh reviews and criticism but only recently I decided to dive into the experience.

    I came to the game 2 months ago and got thrown into an environment where names were thrown at me and I had no clue what they meant. The fact that there's no campaign to introduce players into the lore, or a cutscene to catch up with all the things that you missed is terrible.

    I had to watch YouTube videos to know who or what I'm fighting and for what reason, it's just awful. As soon as you get to the tower the game goes downhill for a new player, you go and fight enemies you don't know sh*t about and the game does nothing to make you feel attached to the characters. Npc's kept talking about The Red War, Oryx, Savathun, Cayde and I had no clue or idea what was going on and what should I do.

    The setting and lore is absolutely crucial for the game as everything evolves around these things but for a new player the game does nothing to actually get the player involved, why should I care for Cayde, Ikora or Saint if the only way I got introduced to these characters was a brief dialogue. What is the vanguard, what is the last city, who are the future war cult, teach me about the collapse, about the darkness, the vex, the cabal, about Rasputin, give me a brief summary of things that happened in Destiny 1.

    I don't say you should give me all the info, as it's important for new lights and guardians to discover some things themselves but at least introduce me into the world in some way, so I know what I'm fighting for and why.

    TLDR: New light experience sucks.

    Armor

    • Heavy Handed now correctly refunds energy when Shiver Strike is cast.
    • Impulse Recycler now grants energy on kills from Getaway Artist's Sentient Arc Soul.
    • Boots of the Assembler's Noble Seekers now correctly proc Benevolent Dawn for Blessing of the Sky.
    • Reverted the Boots of the Assembler change to Rift recharge rate.
    • Assassin's Cowl no longer clips through most Hunter cloaks.
    • Felwinter's Helm will no longer change all Solstice armor glows to Stasis.
    • Fixed an issue where glow-enabled armor items would not appropriately display their glow if plugged into another glow-enabled armor item.

      • These ornaments will be available for players who obtained glows for that armor piece in 2018 and/or 2019.

    Weapon Archetypes

      • Increased Aggressive Frame Shotgun cone angle from 4.0 to 4.25 degrees.
      • Reduced Shotgun damage falloff min by 2m.
      • Increased Shotgun damage falloff max by 2m.
    • Aggressive (120 RPM) Hand Cannons

      • Reduced precision damage multiplier from 1.8 to 1.6, preventing a 10% damage bonus from allowing 2-tapping in PvP.
      • Reduced aim assist minimum falloff distance by 1-2m depending on the Range stat.
      • Reduced damage minimum falloff distance by 1m (this gives them a 1m advantage over other Hand Cannons).

    Perks

    • Pulse Monitor

      • Fixed an issue where the Handling bonus was not applying.
    • Rewind Rounds

      • Fixed an issue where the perk would not trigger if the last shot in a magazine missed, or the player reloaded another weapon before firing the final shot.

      • Updated with the same consistency and speed fix as Dragonfly.

    Exotics

    • Dead Man's Tale

      • Removed hipfire damage falloff scalar (was 1.8x to match zoom).
      • Reduced Aim Assist cone angle hip scalar from 1.5 to 1.2.

      • Fixed an issue where Sleeper Simulant was benefiting less than other Linear Fusion Rifles from the Season 14 Linear Fusion Rifle precision damage buff.
    • Vex Mythoclast

      • Updated intrinsic perk description to describe the functionality (was originally a reference to the Destiny 1 text).

    • Fixed an issue causing Null Composure not to be Masterworked when pulled from Collections.
    • Fixed an issue where Cryothesia 77k's charged shot could misfire if fired near the end of the charge buff.
    • Fixed an issue where feminine characters' left hand was not attached to the Gridskipper Pulse Rifle.
    • Fixed an issue where Vision of Confluence glows were not taking shader coloring when dyed.
    • Fixed an issue where the Null Composure ornaments were not showing ammo state while in ADS.
    • Temporarily removed Legendary weapons that did not have Masterwork slots from Banshee-44's inventory.

    Keeping good perks off of new weapons will just make us stick with guillotine.

    We saw you take whirlwind blade off of the two reissued swords. This is the best sword damage perk by far so by not having them they have resigned themselves from being viable. This will only give long term players the advantage as we already have guillotine.

    It being infinite doesnt help either, as it turn power leveling into a unvaluable gatekeeping system more than anything.

    Progression in POWER of all things needs some sort of rework

    RN we power level to access activities, when it reality we should Power level Because We will GET more powerful from it

    Sadly Destiny's systems kinda cant properly support that right now with regards to gear leveling...

    So the best we can afford on the short term is reworking the artifact leveling... and by that I mean:

    • Artifact no longer grants Power level at all:

    • You need certain power levels to unlock Columns in the artifact. For example, the first column in the artifact this season would require you to be at 1311 (+1 from s13 cap), while the last column would require you to be at 1320 (+10 from last season)

    • XP should only unlock nodes on the artifact . But now you would be allowed to get all mods in the artifact.

    • Unlocking all nodes grands a final node that halves all artifact mods prices.

    With a system like this you power level to ALSO get new kinks, abilities, mods, possible builds... When you power level you actually... get... more... POWERFULL

    This would IMO feel better than... "I NEED to grind thrallway for GMs this season"

    Best key fragment Farm I've found

    Expunge tarturus corrupted gives you 12 per run and with the little skip you can do when climbing the second box you can complete this in about 3 or 4 minutes. That's a lot of fragments plus you can do this while the weasel error plague continues

    As the first day of Solstice of Heroes 2021 begins we want players to be aware of certain information and issues we are investigating.

    A thread (1/4):

    Vital Info

    The Light and Dark Weekly Solstice bounty for Gambit will only gain progress from elemental final blows against Guardians.

    Prismatic Orbs do not contribute to the total Elemental Orbs collected by players. 2/4

    The UI for the Prismatic Taken event in the EAZ may overlap other objective UI if players have multiple buffs active.

    The 2018 Solstice armor set glows may be less intense on certain portions of the armor. 3/4
