Fellow Warlocks, we've been kicked around enough. It is time to boycott Well of Radiance and solely run Nova Warp in protest

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 08:45 AM PST

I am calling on all Warlocks to run Nova Warp / Void Walker until we get a meaningful TWAB about Warlock or class tuning. No more well of radiance easy mode for LFG, strikes, or matchmaking. Let's see how "IP-defining" Titan and Hunter are classes when they're struggling to save alive and buffed.

Warlocks complaining about nerfs and handicaps is as consistent as another week another TAWB. We use the Bungie Suggestion flair, we show the math, and we are a vocal about it. Our rewards are a hunter buff while we continue to be taken advantage of in fireteams.

Remember this. The people you're trying to step on, we're everyone you depend on...

    • That easy Taniks one phase, who makes it possible? Oh, Warlocks dropping a well while wearing a Warlock exotic. I like to see you use those slug shotties without lunafaction. How many of you got Eyes of Tomorrow because you had a warlock in your fireteam?
    • Flawless raid and dungeons run? It would be a real shame you didn't have a healer
    • Not cheesing Chamber of Suffering in Pit of Hersey? How many times has a Warlock been clutch for you?
    • Grandmaster & Master Night Falls without a Warlock running warlock and Phoenix Protocol? I hope you like extra hard mode while going plaid on difficulty
    • Two manning a dungeon or teaching raids? Jeez, warlocks seem to be a great clutch with all that healing and damage buff
    • That Riven sword cheese? Dare I say, Warlocks often drop a well for that

So Warlocks, PVE needs us and we need to take the power back. First nova warp and now shadebinder, we need more than talking. Change comes from action and we need to play the same game as Bungie.

We are going to drive Nova Wrap usage rates up. Bungie is then going to do what they always do, buff another class to see more usage rate and then nerf the offending class. Well tricks on you Bungie, Nova Warp is already nerfed into the ground, what is another six feet if another subclass can live?

    💎🙌

Edit #1: Thanks for the gold!

Edit #2: Top post on hot, we have the momentum now. Actions are louder than words. Go out this weekend and play Nova Warp to death. And since we'll be facing stasis titans and hunters, many of us will be dying often. Do you remember when the Lord of Wolves made the wolves run wild? Let's paint Destiny the color purple this weekend. Titans, our non-hunter brethren, reach for those purple crayons. Hunters, mid-tree stalker this weekend, don't tether us out of warp...we can't stop the warp.

Edit #3: We need a rallying cry, a hashtag and simple phases to carry out message in the future. Together we are strong, smart, and creative. I'm starting with #paintdestinypurple but this is for all Warlocks, we must find a message that works for all of us.

Edit #4: Wow thanks for the platinum! Thanks all to standing together. I'll forward to being awash in purple this weekend

Edit #5: What do you have to lose running Void Walker this weekend? Majority of us are going to get stomped in Trials going for the messenger bounty anyway. Do not let the elites put us down. Lean into the purple and have fun in the void this weekend. Crack open a purple haze ipa, a purple rice lager, or a grape juicebox and together, they can't stop the warp.

Edit #6: My words are not empty. I've never streamed before but I will tonight, as I will lead by example and so should you. They may take my fireteam's lives. For those not running Nova Warp, you'll live -- at least awhile. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!!! (Can't post stream link due to Rule 5...follow the rules kids...see comments)

Edit #7: WE MADE IT TO FRONT PAGE 💎🙌! VOID EXPLOSIONS TO THE MOON WHERE WE WILL FIND A TWAB ABOUT CLASS BALANCE (AND CHEESE). Eat up the salt in the comments guys and gals, we're on a long journey to the moon and we need those electrolytes. It is what the warlocks and plants crave.

Cozmo has confirmed Penumbral Blast damage reduction was unintentional

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 02:55 PM PST

    https://reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/lhqg80/_/gn3regs/?context=1

Just posting to raise awareness since it seems like a lot of people are still wondering why PB had its damage reduced.

Edit: I'm glad I could start a bit of a discussion here, but please, remember to be kind to Cozmo. I'm sure the Community Managers are doing the best they can, and saying things like "why did you lie about the Cosmodrome" isn't exactly going to make Destiny 2 any better.

I don't ask for much. All I ask is that you don't shoot my Warmind Cells if you aren't wearing any of the mods.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 01:59 PM PST

Look, I get it. Big, shiny ball that takes damage. Must. Shoot. It. Please don't. If you're wearing at LEAST Global Reach, I don't mind. At least then it would have some sort of effect. Please just put one on if you're the type of person ignoring dozens of ads for a shiny ball that will be rendered ineffective because you have the attraction level of a mosquito.

Many people need the reminder or the information that Warmind Cells do nothing if you aren't wearing a Warmind Cell mod and you're just hurting the team by shooting it. Seriously. It'll kill most things in the vicinity and you're throwing that away. Leave it alone or wear a mod yourself. The staple Warmind mods are cheap to wear.

I would kill for Bungie to introduce a mod that makes your Cells immune to players with no cell mods slotted, hell I'd take it if it consumed all 10 energy slots.

SATIRE::: BUNGIE: WARLOCKS WE HEAR YOU

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 11:55 AM PST

Bungie: After carefully looking at the numbers of declining warlock gameplay from recent posts, we will be sunsetting warlock. Osiris and Ikora will be assassinated accordingly to match this change moving forward with the lore.

Big props to Bungie for the powerful reward tiers in the new Battlegrounds.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 06:04 PM PST

Tier 1 powerful for 3 runs of Battlegrounds in the PvE Playlist, 6 for T2, 9 for T3. If this was implemented for gambit, crucible, and strikes I would definitely spend more time in those playlists.

Shatter Kills as a Warlock is way too situational in PvP compared to the other classes. Please consider changing this objective to just killing opponents affected by Stasis, or remove it.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 12:50 PM PST

Blatant developer class favoritism is getting kind of shitty. Nobody at Bungie plays Warlock, do they? If they do, they HAVE to know how bad warlocks feel, right? Warlock stasis is in an awful place and you're better off abandoning any Fragment quest with Stasis shatter kills than actually trying to get it done.

The freeze times on warlocks are absolutely pathetic, have no shatter ability where both hunter and titan have instant shatter abilities, and both other classes just got huge buffs as of Tuesday in the new aspect for Titans and the Melee buff for Hunter. Warlocks even got nerfed for no reason, again, where Titans have only gotten stronger and remain untouched since BLs release. Hunters did get nerfed a Tiny bit but are still so much stronger in PVE and PVP than stasis warlocks that it's asinine.

Please just throw us Warlocks a single bone. This is becoming ridiculous.

E: for those asking, no, not even the super shatter counts as a shatter kill. What the actual fuck.

Hey Bungie, if you want us to do 9 Battlegrounds per week, you could've made them count towards the Ritual Quest...

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 08:55 AM PST

Im also assuming that they wont count towards Xur's 21 Completions for the Exotic Cypher.

    It all could've gone together...

Guardian Classes Ranked Based On Shower Frequency

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 01:51 PM PST

    • S-Tier - Titans: These Chads hit the gym after every meal, then follow up with soapy scrub.

    • B-Tier - Warlocks: These nerds spend all day reading books, not working up sweats. Only shower when they need to condition their hair.

    • F-Tier - Hunters: These anti-social weirdos haven't seen a bar of soap since their first lives. May occasionally rinse their armpits in the rain.

The amount of people jumping off in Trials rn for a Messenger just shows just how much people don't want to play the activity

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 02:14 PM PST

Title. Out out most of the people I've played with, barely anyone actually likes Trials. At least we who don't want to play actually have a method of getting the weapons now.

My Warlock is in an abusive relationship with Tommy's Matchbook and yours can be too! With the following build we explore the wonders of new seasonal mods, the charged with light system, self-damage synergy, and masochism.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 11:07 PM PST

    Hey Guardians!

I've been a long-time lurker on here, but I've been having so much fun with this build I created that I just couldn't help but share it. This build uses one of my favorite exotics, Tommy's Matchbook. I fell in love with this gun the moment it came out and have used it enough for my warlock to be considered a masochist. But as much as I love Tommy even, I must admit the gun has some serious flaws. The most obvious of these being self-damage (duh), and an abysmal reload speed. So, my goal was to solve these flaws while also creating a synergistic build of my favorite class (warlock) that could take on high level content. This is the result.

Ok so what will you be able to accomplish with this build?

    · You and your allies will be able to have a consistent character speed boost

    · You and allies will have a 100 reload and boosted handling consistently

    · You will have a consistent 50% damage reduction

    · You will be able to heal yourself in large chunks on demand

    · You will have boosted grenade damage and cooldown

    · Your allies will receive boosted grenade cooldowns

    · You will be able to stun overload champs

    · Break barrier champs' shields

    · You will have a 30% modifier boost to your super damage (in our case chaos reach)

    · And you will have the option to add and additional 25% damage modifier added to all your ability damage to frozen or slowed targets (pretty sure this includes your super haven't tested yet)

I know that seems like a lot but if you stick with me, I promise to break this build up into small bites to make this as simple and painless as possible. Still here? Dope let's get started.

    Subclass:

Starting things off with our subclass we are going middle tree Stormcaller. Most warlocks go the bottom tree void walker route and for good reason. Devour synergizes incredibly well with Tommy as it solves the self-damage problem pretty well. But we won't be going this for a few reasons A. we have other more effective tools to solve the self-damage problem, B. it doesn't address Tommy's reload, and C. bungie unfortunately hates Nova Bomb and it simply can't hang with some of the other super options warlocks have at their disposal, especially with some of these new seasonal mods we got. These and the reasons below are why we are going middle tree Stormcaller.

    Pulsewave:

This is the big one. In bungie terms Pulsewave does this "being critically wounded triggers an energy wave that boosts yours and allies' speed". What that actually means is you and your allies get a plus 100 to your weapons reload stat, a pretty generous boost to weapon handling, and a speed boost that is comparable to killing wind, oh and all of these boosts last ten seconds. All for the low low price of being critically wounded (shields depleted) which we were going to do anyway thanks to Tommy.

    Chaos Reach:

While Tommy is an add clearing machine it's not great at burning through bosses or generating quick bursts of damage. Luckily, we have this monster of a super. The highest unassisted dps super we Warlocks have at our disposable, the Kamehameha absolutely shreds bosses and majors. Plus, we got a few fun new tools to make it even better, more on that in the mods section.

    Ionic Trace:

This is just gravy at this point. Ability regen on kills, easy, straightforward, always helpful. Not much more to say here, it's great.

    Grenade and Rift:

My recommendation here is the pulse nade, the consistent ticks of damage means overloads stay stunned for longer. However, if you want to just drop a ton of damage storm is also great (just be careful not to kill yourself with them). As for rift you gotta go healing. We take lots of damage with this build so it's never a bad thing to have another source of healing on demand.

Now that we know what abilities we are working with let's talk exotics and other weapons.

    Tommy's Matchbook:

This is the center piece, a beautiful 720 that when you hold down the trigger for 20 rounds ramps up to 99% more damage, you filthy animal! While ignition trigger is doing its thing, we take burn damage which we can reduce by hip firing. Thanks to the catalyst while we are being burned our health recovers much faster too. Something that Bungie doesn't tell you is this thing's in air and hipfire accuracy is nutty, but that's old news for most of you.

    Verity's Brow:

While we are burning through targets with Tommy we are also charging up this exotic. The exotic perk death throws goes up every time you get an energy weapon kill and stacks up to five times speeding up the recharge rate of your grenade and boosting its damage. This plus ionic trace should keep your grenade topped off very often. Plus, every time you throw a grenade you also get to boost your fireteam members grenade recharge. For those of you keeping score, that's a max reload buff, grenade recharge rate, and speed boost your giving your teammates. Who says warlocks can only play support with middle tree dawn?

    Geomags (Alternative Option):

I feel like I'd have to turn in my warlock card if I didn't mention this as an alternative to Verity's. This thing is nutty and with the mods we are going to use to boost chaos reach later on it only gets more powerful. Wouldn't blame you if you wanted to go this route but I personal prefer the team aspect and utility of Verity's.

    Kinetic and Heavy weapons:

For your Kinetic slot you should be using a sniper, any sniper works but if you want my personal favorite for this build, I would use a Succession with recombination and reconstruction. This acts as a baby Izzy and is great for quickly swapping to and deleting majors and barrier champs. If you aren't lucky enough to have one of those don't worry any other kinetic sniper with perks focusing on single shot damage and auto reloading (pulse monitor is really good with this build too) will do just fine. As for your heavy slot this is really a personal preference thing. LMGs synergize with sustained charge, but swords and rockets are also super solid. I am mainly using my heavy as another way to take down big non boss targets, so I personally use my old Falling Guillotine (yes, I know this isn't season of the arrivals. No, I don't care).

    Mods:

OK this is where things start to get a little complicated, so for simplicity sake I will be doing the mod break down armor piece by armor piece showing affinities and energy consumption and then writing a description for the mods used. This is the point where all the parts really start to come together and turn it from a concept to a full-fledged build. I'm going to go into this assuming you have at least some general knowledge about the charged with light system but if not do yourself a favor and find a guide on the basics. My personal recommendations are Fallout Plays' and Ehroar's guides, which you can find on their respective YouTube channels. With that disclaimer out of the way let's dive in.

    Helmet:

    Affinity Solar

Ashes to Assets 3 cost (2x)

"Gain bonus super energy on grenade kills"

As we are a grenade-based build having a stack of A2A is super helpful for regening our super.

    Taking charge 3 cost

"Become charged with light by picking up orbs of power"

Since Tommy can generate orbs of power off of multi Kills this is one of two ways we will get charged with light.

    Minor Discipline 1 cost

Not necessary but a small boost to discipline can only help.

    Arms:

    Affinity Solar

    Anti-Barrier sniper 6 cost

"Sniper rifles you are wielding fire shield-piercing rounds and stun barrier champions. Sniper rifles deal bonus damage against barrier champions"

Pretty straight forward. A tool to eliminate barrier champs (or that one phalanx that really deserved to get its head taken off)

    Sustained Charge 4 cost

"Become charged with light by rapidly defeating combatants with auto rifles, trace rifles, or machine guns. Additional copies of this mod increase the time allowed between combatants that are defeated."

Multikills, in this case three kills in rapid succession within roughly three seconds of each other, charge us with light. Since we are burning through adds with Tommy this is a reliable way to get charge with light from range. If you aren't in a position to run in and grab an orb this will allow you to still charge up. You may wonder why run both sustained charge and taking charge? For me it's more of a consistency thing. With this build you need to be charged with light pretty much the whole time and sustained charge provides a way for you to do that at range whereas taking charge allows you to leave orbs to pick up in a pinch when you can't get kills or to guarantee that you end every fight charged with light and ready for the next engagement.

    Chest:

    Affinity Void

    Stacks on Stacks 4 cost

"gain an extra stack of charged with light for every stack you gain. –10 recovery"

This is another ease of use and consistency thing, with this you have some room for error with how you go about your engagements and if you play it right you will always be able to use both Heal thyself and protective light which we will talk about soon.

    Sniper Reserves 3 cost (x2)

Don't think I need to explain why this is helpful. We use a sniper, so we want more ammo. You could also use this for your heavy weapon of choice, it's up to you.

    Legs:

    Affinity Solar

    Recuperation 1 cost (x2)

"replenishes health each time you pick up an orb of power"

This perk is hella underrated this doesn't trigger regen which is great because Tommy would stop that almost immediately with its burn. Instead, this provides quick huge burst to your health (don't have the exact numbers but trust me it substantial) further solidifying the playstyle of leaving orbs around as little healing and charge with light checkpoints.

    Heal Thyself 4 cost

"while you are charged with light, grenade final blows heal you and consume one stack of charged with light"

Think of this as you oh shit button. Instant healing for when that orb is too far away, or a rift will take just too long to activate. This can be a crazy helpful tool for staying alive and while it isn't the main star of the build its great for survivability and synergizes well with what we are trying to do. Note, your oh shit button does deal damage to you and can kill you if it hits you before it kills an enemy. Just to be safe make sure your targets are aren't all up in your grill when you throw.

    Recovery 4 cost

Needs no explanation, if recovery isn't your jam pick a different stat, I just like it when all the numbers fit perfectly.

    Class:

    Affinity Void

    Volatile Conduction 6 cost

"Grants bonus arc damage if cast while critically wounded. Lasts until the end of the super activation"

When bungie made this mod they were like Chaos reach is good, but it can be better. 30% better to be exact. While these are normally a pain in the ass to activate and often feel super clunky forcing you to let yourself get hit before activating your super, we have no such limitations as we are in an abusive relationship with our primary. This is some big boy damage especially when stacked with debuffs, geo mags, and Focusing Lens which I will mention at the end.

    Surge Detonators 2 cost

"arc grenades disrupt combatants, stunning them, delaying ability regeneration and lowering combatant damage output"

Your oh shit button doesn't only save your ass but stuns champs for long durations thanks to the continuous ticks of the pulse nade. Better yet this will be damage boosted too. Thanks to death throws often all it takes is one nade to just straight up kill a champ. Excellent utility for any content with the annoying teleporty boys.

    Protective Light 2 cost

"While charged with light, you gain significant damage resistance against combatants when your shields are destroyed. This effect consumes all stacks of charged with light. The more stacks consumed, the longer the damage resistance lasts."

If Tommy is the star of this build than protective light is the glue that holds it all together. You gain a 50% damage reduction when in the red which allows us to just chill at low health no problem and gives us the time, we need to activate healing abilities. This last for 5 seconds on one charge and 10 with two but this will almost always be using two charges. This mod does so much for us, it lets us safely maximize the damage of Tommy, consistently apply pulse wave, and lets us be crazy tanky after we heal. You may think protective light clashes with heal thyself but since it can't consume charges while the perk is up, we will still be able to utilize the nade healing as well as still having a backup five seconds after the fact if we take too long to get charged with light back.

Alternatively, you can swap Heal Thyself with sustained charge on your legs and replace sustained charge and your helmets solar affinity for protective light and a void affinity. This leaves room for Focusing Lens on your class item allowing you to sacrifice the ability to stun overloads and heal yourself on grenade kills with a 25% modifier buff to all your abilities on targets effected by stasis freeze or slow. This decision all comes down to team composition and activity. That being said you haven't lived until you and your homie running stasis absolutely nuke a boss with the most powerful chaos reach super known to man.

    Playstyle:

So, what does this build look like in action? Let me paint a picture for you. We lay into some ads with Tommy and get charged with light times two from a multikill, ignition trigger tics us down to the red and we get ten seconds of 50% damage reduction, a speed boost, and max reload. You use your newfound speed and damage reduction to run in and pick up the orb Tommy dropped from that same multikill and get sent back to like 80% health with 5 seconds left on your pulse wave and protective light timers and a fresh stack of charged with light x2 you burn through more adds with the rest of Tommy's ammo and reload it in like a second. Repeat until you find the boss and nuke him with a chaos reach that is 30% more powerful. This damage increase is a modifier which means it can still stack with other modifiers, one buff, and a debuff for some absolutely crazy numbers.

    TLDR:

Put these mods on your armor and use these weapons for a highly synergistic build that focuses on survivability with Tommy's matchbook and middle tree Stormcaller.

    Helmet:

    Affinity Solar

Ashes to Assets 3 cost (2x)

    Taking charge 3 cost

    charged with light.

    Minor Discipline 1 cost

    Arms:

    Affinity Solar

    Anti-Barrier sniper 6 cost

    Sustained Charge 4 cost

    Chest:

    Affinity Void

    Stacks on Stacks 4 cost

    Sniper Reserves 3 cost (x2)

    Legs:

    Affinity Solar

    Recuperation 1 cost (x2)

    Heal Thyself 4 cost

    Recovery 4 cost

    Class:

    Affinity Void

    Volatile Conduction 6 cost

    Surge Detonators 2 cost

    Protective Light 2 cost

    Exotics:

    Tommy's Matchbook

    Verity's Brow or Geomag

    Conclusion:

And there you have it. This was definitely longer than I was expecting but hopefully not too hard to get through. If you made it to the end thanks for bearing with me and hopefully you have fun trying out this build or some variation of it in game. This is my first time ever posting something like this so if you have any suggestions or feedback please feel free to share. Likewise, if you have any other cool synergies and want to talk build crafting hit me up, the charged with light system is one of my favorite additions to this game and I am always trying to brainstorm my next build.

The D1 strikes have so far proved two things: Enemy Density needs to be more of a thing in the future and D1 strike design understood that "strikes are supposed to be fun and capture that power fantasy feeling"

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 11:12 PM PST

Bungie: you need to seriously pay attention to the positive feedback on Sepiks strike and fallen Saber.

Strike Playlist is supposed to be fun, not a chore. And not designed in a way where it's just go from A to B.

Bungie, before making a catalyst quest require guardian kills you should question if the gun will be a pain in the ass to use in the pvp meta.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 07:14 PM PST

Lets ignore that using ticuus divination the way its designed where proccing the explosion to get kills doesn't even count. A bow that cannot even be used to hip fire makes it even harder on top of the fact that bows just aren't good in all these short range close quarters maps where a 120 handcannon can out duel you anywhere on any map.

Mark my words, the next time we get Crucible adjustments, Top-Tree Dawnblade is getting nerfed soon, all thanks to "According to our data..."

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 01:40 AM PST

BEFORE WE BEGIN, PLEASE, I BEG OF THEE NOT TO HARRASS THE COMMUNITY MANAGERS, I'M SURE THEY'RE DOING THEIR JOB AND PASSING FEEDBACK, THIS IS ON THE SANDBOX TEAM, NOT ON COMMUNITY MANAGERS, I DIDN'T THINK I HAD TO SAY THIS BUT DAMN GUYS...

Top-Tree Dawnblade is the only competitive subclass for Warlocks right now, Shadebinder has received 4 nerfs, the most recent one is doubling down on our already shitty melee, Penumbral Blast, it's clear that someone (maybe the whole team) at sandbox balance hates Warlocls with a passion.

This shit has happened before to the point it's almost silly, lemme list you A FEW examples.

    • You had fun with Nova Warp when it launched? Bungo says no u, no fun allowed.
    • You switched to Top-Tree Nova and paired with an old exotic to make it viable in PvE? Nope, get that shit in the garbage right now. (Skull of Dire Ahamkara)
    • You're using an exotic and locking yourself into a support role for your team to even attempt some raids? Nope, you get double nerfs, one for your super, and one for your shoes, who do you think you are? Hunters? (Lunafaction)
    • You're using another exotic after we nerfed your shoes to get more supers after we told you it was wrong to have fun? HOW FUCKING DARE YOU? (Phoenix protocol)
    • You found a way around our brutal nerfs and still used Nova Warp to compete against the other two classes? Nope, insta-kill abilities aren't for Warlocks even if they needed an exotic to work properly. (Contraverse Holds)
    • You guys are using a crap-tier exotic to have the same wall-hacks as a Hunter super (that's still broken) and a Titan exotic but you're standing still on your class ability? HOW DARE YOU HAVE ANY SEMBLANCE OF CREATIVITY, reworked, and nerfed. (Sanguine Alchemy)
    • Other classes are still doing what you did but aren't getting nerfed or punished? Now, how dare you complain about infinite super Titans and Hunters, here's a nerf to an already shitty subclass, hope you learned your lesson. (Bottom Tree Dawnblade)
    • You're freezing people at a distance and killing them with primary weapons even with the fact that your floaty ass is super easy to snipe or voop into oblivion? Nope, can't have that. (Shadebinder Launch)
    • You grabbed another crap-tier exotic and merged it with a fragment WE DESIGNED to do the same shit as Shatterdive and Titan melee, but worse? Fuck u here's a nerf to the exotic, the fragment and your class ability (Vesper of Radius)
    • You have the worst stasis class of all three to the point that completing your fragment quests is super grindy and frustrating? No, how dare you question my authority, here's another nerf for your melee ability, and we're gonna buff hunters while we're at it. (Penumbral Blast now does 38 damage, nerfed from 80)

And my personal favorite of petty warlock nerfs:

    • You're using a shitty exotic sword and clever but hard mechanic execution to fly super fast and have fun? FUN!? HOW FUCKING DARE YOU HAVE FUN!? YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE FUN, I WISH YOU HADN'T BEEN BORN (Worldline Zero).

Next thing we know we're gonna have our only competitive PvP class destroyed and our PvE support class destroyed AGAIN, because "Our data shows that you're using it too much!", no shit sherlock, it's the only useful thing that has survived the balance hammer, we Warlocks have had all of our viable builds either nerfed, neutered or ignored to the point that we barely have any usable classes (bottom void, bottom solar, top and bottom arc).

Edit 1: Well, it seems I struck a chord with someone and got a Gold, thanks kind stranger.

Edit 2: "Well, I would rather play Warlock on PvE rather than Titan or Hunter!", Come on now, you're telling me that the yeeting Titan fleet with the new exotic isn't melting bosses along with chicken helmet hunters?

Edit 3: To all the people saying "But x or y in hunters or titans got nerfed too!", here's the thing, look at the intensity of the nerf, most of our shit becomes useless after the nerf. The reason we as Warlocks keep finding broken shit on our class is because we have been nerfed so many times that we're now resorting to anti-meta stuff that just happened to be strong, but hey, Data over context. It's the first fucking rule in applied research, don't be a data-whore because data without context is gonna give you the wrong results.

Edit 4: Holy shit that's a platinum, thank you kind stranger

If you had told me, a year ago, that the most popular and meta guns in the game right now are a bow, rocket launchers, and slug shotguns, I would have thought you were huffing Ether.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 05:22 AM PST

    Shit's wack yo.

A freakin bow, slug shotgun, and rocket launcher. That sounds like my typical "let me pull some random bullshit out of my vault to complete this stupid bounty" loadout.

Bungie, Cuirass of the Falling Star breathes life into Thundercrash and makes it the super we all hoped for when Forsaken was first announced. Non-roaming supers doing big damage is fantastic - build on this!

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 07:41 AM PST

After years of feedback, Bungie showed they were listening in a big way. For the first time, the immense risk that Thundercrash brings to the user, especially in endgame content, feels worth the potential reward. Seeing a boss' health take a massive drop after being hit by this game's version of the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs is immensely satisfying.

The one way to improve on the experience is to incorporate the damage into base super; take Cuirass Thundercrash this as an example of how to approach supers going forward, especially damage. Things like Chaos Reach, Nova Bomb, and Blade Barrage, would be able to capture the same lightning in a bottle if they had a bit more juice.

Vendor Rank ups, should only grant Vender specific loot

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 08:45 PM PST

with bungie giving each vendor 2 specific guns with the likes of 10 perks in each column, the amount of potential rolls available is MASSIVE, that combined with all the Armor and stat rolls/distribution. having the vendor rank ups be dedicated to only there specific loot would be a cool.

A big thank you to Bungie for choosing the Sepiks Redux version of the boss theme for the new strike.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 11:03 AM PST

This version of the song, even though not the original, I think exemplifies just how incredible the strike felt to all of the old school Vanilla D1 players - the energy, the intensity, the overwhelming numbers. It was the biggest, most action packed experience we'd had in the game up until that point, and the Redux version of Sepiks' theme captures that in a wonderful way.

For those curious, here is the original, which is still wonderful in its own way.

Hey bungie, new playlist weapons are fantastic. But the drop rates sure suck

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 11:30 AM PST

The world loot pool should not apply to the final chest of strikes. Rewards from gambit, or crucible. If you wanna give us world loot from vendors that's great! But please, we go into gambit to get a bottom dollar, not temptations hook. The drop rates are so stingy right now for everything playlist related. I've run 30 1270 nightfalls this week. From those here are my drops.

    -one xenoclast

    -one shadow price

My prosperity mod on my ghost was active the entire time. Can y'all please look into this? Really killing one of the things I was most excited about this season for.

    #PAINTDESTINYPURPLE !!! Original Fan Art by Ho-Duki

NOVA WARP FAN ART BY HO-DOKI ON BUNGIE COMMUNITY FORUMS

    SPREAD THE WORD!

    ORIGINAL POST BY u/elpezmuerto

I am calling on all Warlocks to run Nova Warp / Void Walker until we get a meaningful TWAB about Warlock or class tuning. No more well of radiance easy mode for LFG, strikes, or matchmaking. Let's see how "IP-defining" Titan and Hunter classes when they're struggling to save alive and buffed.

Handhels Supernova 75% self damage nerf doesn't work.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 03:31 PM PST

    Why?

Throw one at your feet, you still die. Not sure how many bolts there are, but( 8*50)/4 is 100. Shouldn't kill

Glacial quake is miles ahead of every other roaming super

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 06:32 PM PST

This has probably been brought up 100 times before and will probably be brought up 100 more but glacial quake is on a whole bother level of powerful. It best almost all supers in almost every way. It is the fastest, it has the longest duration, and its kill potential is crazy due to being able to stop players from doing anything to you and forcing them to stand still and wait helplessly till you kill them. It's very difficult to shut down and so fast it can catch me when I have max mobility. The only way to outrun it is to keep going around tight corners and hoping the titan gets trigger happy till his super runs out. It doesn't help that the two main supers good for shutting supers down (blade barrage and nova bomb) are basically useless against it because it can just melee away. I don't understand how warlocks have gotten nerfed like 4 times since beyond light yet this one super is so much better than literally everything else.
