It’s been said before, but nothing feels worse than watching your nightfall score drop below 100K during the dialogue after the strike is over.

Bungie, please unvault maps. We desperately need more pvp maps.

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 08:42 AM PDT

At this point, we get it. You do not want to put effort into pvp, maybe because of your new project that i've heard about that's supposed to become a "competitive pvp game", maybe just because you don't care about Destiny pvp anymore.

Either way, if you do not plan on giving us a ton of new maps soon, which we all know is not gonna happen, please unvault the maps we already had in D2. If i remember correctly, it was 11 maps or even more that got vaulted. 11 maps will not take that much harddrive space, which was your excuse of removing them.

Currently D2 takes 61 GB of disk space on PC. 11 additional maps will add what, maybe 2 or 3 gigs? That doesn't hurt, does it. Compare that to games like Call of Duty with a game size of 180+ GB. I just don't get it.

Also Gambit maps need to be unvaulted aswell if you don't plan on removing that game mode entirely. Strikes would be healthy for the game aswell but at this point nothing would make me enjoy running these old strikes (or the newer ones) cause strikes are just meh in general now.

I am far from being bored of the Destiny pvp formula and as oppressive, annoying and demoralizing stasis is in pvp, the main reason i am playing less and less Destiny is because of the map pool for pvp. It feels like i am playing the same 3 maps everytime i fire up the game, its boring.

"Go play Activities for X currency" is not what I thought a reinvestment of core activities was going to be

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 09:49 AM PDT

I don't remember exactly where but I believe it was in one of the State of the Game releases where it was spoke about reinvesting into core activities

Strikes are incredibly stale with hardly any worthwhile loot outside of Nightfalls.

Gambit is a nightmare with motes falling through the floor, no new maps in god knows how long, and is also just getting stale.

Crucible is not as much of a mess thanks to some super tuning but still isn't an amazing place to spend a lot of time at least in my opinion due to a lack of maps mostly.

When I read about some sort of refocus on core activities, renewed focus on pvp, etc... I surely didn't expect the extent of that to be "Hey we've got a new event/seasonal loop that you need to play the core activities for". Right now I don't hop into Strikes, Crucible, or Gambit not because I don't have a reason to play those activities but because they've stopped being fun due to any significant updates over the past few years

Sure we get a new strike once a year with some D1 strikes returning inbetween but one new strike a year doesn't all of a sudden get me excited and ready to spend an hour or two in the playlist nor do I get excited to play Gambit when the dust on that gamemode is so thick I'm having a hard time finding the motes on the floor; I can't speak much for Crucible because I never truly found it fun and that's just my own personal distaste for unfettered "competitive spirit".

All I want is for the core activities to get some love an attention from Bungie every now and then

Can we please keep all the GG strike modifiers as rotating modifiers, forever?

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 06:56 AM PDT

I know this has been said a few times before, especially with the Kinetic weapon damage bonus. But let's make modifiers that make energy weapons do more damage. Where health, shields, and recovery are increased. Where melee abilities charge faster.

But Bungie, you can get even more creative than that. What about strikes where enemies randomly drop Scorch Cannons? What about one where all super attacks cost significantly less energy, so supers last much longer? Where you can use your finisher on red-bar enemies with full health? Where all Solar abilities and damage set enemies on fire?

I just think that with a season with three new strikes introduced to D2, there should've been some new strike modifiers introduced this season too, not just for GG. And while it's probably too late for next season, maybe s15?

Nearly everything since the vaulting of half the playlist content has been focused on making us run playlists over and over

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 09:29 AM PDT

I used to love running strikes but they've removed some of the best strikes while leaving the fanatic and exodus down to run over and over, meaning not only are you more likely to run the same strike over and over, but it likely won't even be a good one. I'd take a bigger download size over removing gameplay any day, especially if they're only adding three strikes in over half a year after removing seven of them.

Pulses/Hand cannons need a buff in PvE

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 09:38 AM PDT

I feel Pulse rifles and Hand cannons have dps that is way too low. I understand that the upside is supposed to be that its more about damage spikes and better range so theyre easier to use with cover, but a rapid fire scout like Trustee blows all that out the water imo.

I think Pulses need a 30% buff like RL's got and Hand cannons maybe 20%. (based off the dps chart provided by Dragon), only then will they compete with autos/scouts.

But maybe thats just me, what do you guys think?

Last post got removed for semantics I guess? so I'm just wording it different, otherwise whats the point of having a "Discussion" flair?

What if they removed the 3 loss lockout from trials cards?

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 09:22 PM PDT

What if losing a match just marks your card as "Flawed" and let's you continue to get wins until you reach 7?

As somebody who sucks at trials, this would be a HUGE help. I wouldn't be able to get flawless loot (and I shouldn't as I don't deserve it) but I would have the ability to grind for that 7 win reward every week!

What are your thoughts on this?

Guardian Games Doesn't Offer Enough as an Event

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 09:51 AM PDT

Guardian Games just doesn't feel interesting.

There's no unique activity (like EAZ and Haunted Forest) and there's no random rolled weapon to farm out (like glacioglasm or cold front from the Dawning).

The core loop is again centred around the same activity playlist the challenge system has been pushing us back into every week.

I find GG to really lack a "change of pace" or "targeted pursuit".

I get that events in live service games have primarily turned into monetization opportunities through limited time inventory - but I think they need more effort than this.

Also it doesn't feel great that the whole system for GG is just bounties made into an overly convoluted system so that they would not be officially bounties.

This was clearly not the spirit of the feedback last year.

I really feel like an interesting legendary and an activity should be the standard for events.

Please no 'Born in Darkness' for future darkness subclasses

    Posted: 24 Apr 2021 11:48 PM PDT

Doing the quest on multiple characters wasn't only painful, but it took a lot of the oomph out of the story beats it told the first time around.

If Bungie wants us to still do class-specific quests for key subclass unlocks, then the grind better be at least more flexible than it was with Stasis.

Bungie, We Only Have 1 Exotic Energy Pulse Rifle And It Would Be Nice To Have More.

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 04:14 PM PDT

The only Exotic Energy Pulse we have is Graviton Lance and having more options than just Graviton in our secondary slot would be nice. We haven't gotten a new Exotic Energy Pulse since the release of Destiny 2, that's almost 5 years without a new one. It would be nice if the season pass weapon for season 14 was a new Exotic Secondary Pulse.

    Bungie Killed it with DSC

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 05:37 AM PDT

I know I'm a bit late to the party here, but I just completed my first DSC run. It was the most fun I've had in a raid since SOTP over a year ago. The weapons I got look amazing, and the encounters were just fun. I was absolutely blown away by the Spacewalk, and with the Deep stone lullaby in the background it was amazing. Props to bungo for giving me a great raid experience, something I haven't had in a long time. (IMO last wish and garden are too lengthy and confusing for me, I can't do them all the time or my brain starts to malfunction lol)

People have always talked about adding a darkness race to Destiny. If bungie ever does add one, I’d prefer it be more boss-focused than the other enemy races

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 05:43 PM PDT

If a hypothetical darkness race followed the same formula as all the other enemies, then a large amount of darkness enemies would be cannon fodder ads like thrall or dregs. I think this would be quite disappointing considering the lore about darkness creatures like the ones the drifter encountered. It should be a shocking and terrifying moment to come across a light-sapping monstrosity. I remember the "wtf is that" moment when the voice of riven appeared in the forsaken campaign. Imagine a beyond light-like campaign but rather than the baron fights there was a completely original model darkness boss for each one. Imagine patrolling a new zone like old Chicago or something but then you see a darkness boss and a dark zone icon appears. I think a race like this would be way more interesting than "here go shoot darkness thrall" and also a better use of new enemy assets. And if these were interesting enough I'd doubt the player base would mind still having to ad clear hive or taken.

Guardian Games has had some mixed reception, but I think it's brought to light how well-done the icons in this game are.

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 10:26 AM PDT

Destiny has an abundance of three things: spheres, guns and symbols.

Every class, every perk, every faction and every DLC has its own distinct icon. And over the past 7 years, we've accumulated quite a few. Maybe it's not a huge deal, but I want to give props to the graphic designers at Bungie who consistently make distinct-yet-recognisable glyphs. This is more evident than ever during GG, where the class symbols are everywhere - and they're still perfectly recognisable, despite not having any meaning on their own.

I'm running out of words for symbols now, but I hope this rambly bit of appreciation fits here!

Bungie should allow us to buy Enhancement Prisms with Ascendant Shards and Enhancement Cores with Enhancement Prisms

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 01:30 PM PDT

Yes, I know about the upgrading Blues to level 8 then dismantling them, but that is such a roundabout way to get cores. There should be an option to trade in materials for their "worse" versions. I don't really care about the price at all. I am constantly short on Cores, but I always have ~150-200 Prisms and ~30-40 Shards. I would gladly trade in 10 shards for 100 cores. Just something to allow us players with a surplus of endgame materials to be able to get Cores quickly.

    I understand now

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 07:56 PM PDT

I get what you all mean by how unbalanced invading is in Gambit. I just got done a match where we never, not once, allowed to bank anything. This one dude kept invading us with Eyes and no one on my team ever got a chance to bank because of the blockers. That aspect needs a dramatic rework if Gambit is to survive, it is too easy for people to steamroll their opponents, and for there to be nothing that can be done about it is not fair to anyone. This mode is not fair.

Wow GM Nightfalls are seriously hard

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 07:35 PM PDT

I played destiny during D1 since the closed beta and was a pretty good player back then. I did solo flawless raider and played more than I probably should have. A couple months ago I got into D2 and have been looking into the endgame. I did some raids and got hooked again.

I remember hearing that the GM Nightfalls were 1350 recommended light and I thought that was an exaggeration. After all, why would they make you 25 light levels under?

I was curious and started watching some videos about GMs and saw a guy named Esoterikk soloing a bunch of them. They were long and things definitely did a lot of damage, but, just seems like it's a lot of patience right?

Well I did my first GM yesterday and it was a hell of an experience. Esoterikk makes it look so easy. So many deaths, so many wipes to orbit, but also so addicting. I've since started to get the hang of it and just need to do one more to get my Conquerer seal, but it's probably going to be a long while until I can start to even think about doing solo GMs.

In any case, I think it's really cool that they've added in a way to get adept weapons for PvE players since I'll probably never be able to go flawless in trials :)

And i hate it.Even the reward for completing all triumphs is a plat medal which takes 20 mins if u do a matchmade nightfall.%95 of the rewards are in eververse.I dont think bungie will go bankrupt if they give 1-2 more cosmetic for free.Just throw something to chase for us will you instead of putting all of them into store.

    Sunday Plz - Barber Shop

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 05:03 AM PDT

    Greetings Guardians!

Ever since the conception of this sub, we've dealt with floods of reposts. We're sure you're familiar with them. Many are for important issues that are shared by the entire player base, while others are just for personal requests and desires for the game. The Bungie Plz was shortly implemented after conception as a central "wish-list" for all that we, the community, desired. It is completely user driven. With rare exceptions, nearly all submissions are sent in by you, the users of this subreddit!

However, just like Destiny 2, our wiki article began to experience problems as it grew over time. It's been getting just a few sizes too big. We understand that the continued addition of topics has begun to encroach on your ability to continue the conversation towards matters that mean the most to you, and even though the Bungie Plz has seen so many successes over the years, with well over 100 officially implemented game suggestions and desires, there's still dozens upon dozens of retired topics that haven't seen the light of day for many months...even years!

Every Sunday, this thread will focus on a certain retired Bungie Plz topic of your choosing, voted by the users. We will curate a list of 5 suggestions to help focus your voting process, but you get the final say on what is talked about each week. By all means, if one topic is overwhelmingly desired despite not being part of those 5 items we picked, then we'll be happy to go with that one. Our curated list is only to help you focus the conversation. The only stipulation is that the topic must be new every week. This thread is for the entirety of the Bungie Plz wiki, so no back-to-back voting!

Think of these threads as a way to keep the spark alive, and to bring old topics up to fresh light. For example, do we still want to move Queenbreaker to the special slot? Or does Arbalest serve that purpose well enough now? Do we still want an all-black shader, or do we want to bring back Prismatic Matrix?

You tell us! This is your conversation, guardians.

For this week, you voted on:

    Barber Shop

For next week, here are some suggestions:

    • Add Legendary Trace Rifles
    • Bring back the Prismatic Matrix
    • Separate the melee and the melee ability button
    • Allow Sleeper and Outbreak to generate Warmind Cells

Sound off in the sticky comment for which one sounds good (just give us a moment to put it up), or anything else in the Bungie Plz wiki that catches your eye, and we'll do our best to accommodate!

The Bronze Agent triumph for collecting bronze medals should just be a generic “collect medals triumph” instead

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 12:23 PM PDT

I have every other Guardian Games triumph complete that can currently be completed, however I'm only about halfway done with the bronze medal triumph since the bulk of what I play typically doesn't reward bronze medals. Now that I've finished all the focused triumphs, I'd like to stick to playing what I like, but because none of those activities reward bronze medals, my triumph isn't gonna progress at all.

It should just be collect X medals to also include the game modes that reward silver medals or better. Collecting bronze medals shouldn't be the last triumph anyone gets.

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 08:52 PM PDT
