    Focused Feedback: Season 10 review

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 05:14 AM PDT

    Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Season 10 review' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

If there’s one thing we can expect from the Fall Expansion, it’s a banger first and last mission

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 04:02 PM PDT

Every major expansion drop has an absolutely killer first and last mission.

The Phobos assault in Taken King? Baller. Fighting Oryx at the helm of his ship? That door is sick AF, 10/10.

Climbing Feltwinter's Peak on a gondola and being assaulted by Sepiks Reborn? Hype. Re-murdering Iron Lords in their Warmind tomb? Pogchamp.

Stopping a riot in the Prison of Elders? Super cool except for that one thing. Fighting across asteroids and the Ascendant Plane to reach Uldren with an army of Fallen at your back? Yeah that was pretty sick.

Storming the Moon backed by an army of Frames and Tanks, to literally storm a Hive castle? Dank. Getting sucked into The Pyramid and getting the first glimpse of the Darkness while fighting off the Nightmares of our greatest enemies? It doesn't get much better.

All I'm saying is, even if it's only bounties for the rest of eternity.... the first and last mission of this expansion should be pretty baller.

So Glad I Didn't Come Here First

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 04:35 PM PDT

I just recently started playing Destiny 2. It had been on my radar for a while, but I never really got around to it until I found myself at home with lots of time on my hands.

It is easily one of the best games I've ever played. The narratives are entertaining, the characters are interesting and the gameplay is spectacular.

So I must say I am really happy I didn't come to this subreddit before I started playing. The overwhelming negativity of it may very well have discouraged me from trying the game.

I'm running on the theory that this subreddit (like many of them, I think) is very similar to a personal journal or diary. That people don't take the time to sit down and write when everything is going well and they are having a good time. That it's only when people are angry or upset that they sit and write about what's upsetting them.

But I'm just really enjoying the game. And to be honest, I don't read most of the posts here beyond the title. For obvious reasons.

    Twas the night before *REDACTED*

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 07:53 AM PDT

    Twas the night before REDACTED, when all through the tower Not a REDACTED was stirring, not even a REDACTED; The REDACTED were REDACTED by the REDACTED with care, In hopes that REDACTED soon would be there;

The REDACTED were nestled all snug in their REDACTED, While visions of REDACTED danced in their heads; And REDACTED in her REDACTED and I in my cap, Had just settled down for a REDACTED,

I don't have to keep going... you get the point.

Happy REDACTED to all and to all a REDACTED!!!

As we're near the "24 hours till reveal" mark, I invite you to a game.

    THE BUNGO

It's got about 5 cards's worth of different slots, and I swear, I was totally not depressed about the state of this game when I made it
It's funny cause depending on which slots you get, getting a bingo might either mean a win or a loss
Edit : I'll make a thread where peoples can post their bungo results after the stream tomorrow if I remember
Edit 2 : It used to have a lot more optimistic stuff but I had to remove a lot of said optimistic stuff over time as it got deconfirmed or became very unrealistic.
Edit 3 : If you're on mobile, please try to open the link on desktop instead. The mobile preview thing is outdated

Its quite sad that core playlists have "pinnacle" rewards while LW, SotP and CoS only have "powerfulls" while being much harder

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 01:21 PM PDT

Why is it basicly that the most simple activites give the highest reward possible, while raids and endgame content only give out powerfull loot. Bungie why.

Graviton Lance better not be left out of the High-Impact buff...

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 02:47 PM PDT

It fires in a burst of 2 but it's still the same rate of fire. Ignoring this exotic would be a huge over sight and frankly, a kick in the dick after the massive buff Hardlight and Suros got.

    Yours Cordially,

Someone who's still trying to find a reason to enjoy your PvP content.

EDIT: Obviously there's other exotic weapons that need to be buffed as well. Just figured they could kill a few birds with one stone.

Suros is currently sitting at around a 0.5 ttk with spinning up. If that's not considered busted I don't know what is.

If people in Bubble can’t survive thundercrash, neither should middle tree arcstrider.

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 03:48 PM PDT

How come a super that is completely immobile and oriented around defense and not offense can't survive a thundercrash, but a a super with extreme extreme offense abilities with the power to DEFLECT THINGS can nullify an EARTHQUAKE?

In Retrospect, Shouldn't the Title for S10 Be Seraph Instead of Almighty?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 12:23 PM PDT

We did Seraph Towers, cleared Seraph bunkers, the weapons and armor are all Seraph related. I think Almighty is a cool title, but nothing we did this season had anything to do with it from a gameplay perspective.

Fun fact; osmosis actually reduce your damage by 5% when activated

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 06:51 PM PDT

Title. Using osmosis makes your kinetic weapon an energy weapon, including the 5% damage reduction. Of course, you can always swap back to deactivate the perk.

Bungie, please add more strikes with Fallen bosses.

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 03:12 PM PDT

I'm very tired of running exodus crash for bounties.

I love this game, but I feel like we could use some extra variety when it comes to strikes. Sepiks Perfected would be an amazing reprised strike, or Taniks, or Aksor. Hell, I'd even take S.A.B.E.R-2. I love the fallen but I feel as if they've been shunned in D2.

Trace rifles need an ammo economy buff

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 05:58 PM PDT

They are mainly ad clear weapons. Their dps isn't matching other special weapons (it's similar to top dps primaries).

There's no mod that allows them to have more ammo in your reserve (even the rifle reserves mod, which is suppose to increase ammo for reserve for all RIFLE class weapon, doesn't work for trace RIFLES)

There's no ammo finder mod other than special ammo finder (auto rifle ammo finder doesn't work)

Scavengers.... with no mods, you pick up barely 30. Auto rifle scavengers mod does work..... only for a max of 40-ish ammo with 2x mod. Same with special ammo scavengers.

I know that in pvp, the amount of ammo that you can pick up has to be a bit low considering that Wavesplitter and Coldheart are actually decent. However, their ttk barely surpass 600 rpm auto rifles. At this point, should we put trace rifles in the primary slot (primary ammo)?

In pve, they are kinda similar to auto rifles, but better. However, just picking up 40 rounds when it takes like 50+ to kill a major is a bit worthless. Trace rifles don't have the damage capabilities of most special weapons and they do lack in the ammo economy.

Some options could be available: 1) buff the damage slightly in pvp. ALOT in pve 2) move them to primary slot and keep or nerf a tiny bit their damage across the board, but increase the ammo reserves up to 1000 (of course, add trace rifle mods) 3) rework their utility by making them shoot infinitely, but have a overheat system. In pvp, the overheat could be more punishing

Overall, trace rifles need some help. They act like a primary using special ammo, but they don't have the power of a special.

Casual gamer reporting in: I got to 100 thanks to you lot

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 05:13 PM PDT

With about ten hours to spare. I know no one cares, but I'm stoked.

Joined D2 in this season, never played before, I understand from reading a lot that this season hasn't been awesome for veteran players but for me I had some of the most fun I've ever had in a game, maybe with the exception of the start of GW2. Everyone has been super helpful, answering nooby questions and helping out on content.

Haven't been able to do any raid content yet, and it's difficult being an apostate in Australia and on Xbox, because there's like.. six other people like me in the same timezone and on the same platform.

Anyway. Downvote away, but I'm happy and can't wait for next season content :P

A 'Talk' system should be there with the massive amounts of NPC dialogue in destiny.

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 07:11 AM PDT

Visual I made in 5 mins.

NOTE THAT OUR GUARDIANS DON'T RESPOND AS WE'RE NOT ACTUALLY TALKING TO THEM. BUT NPCS CAN JUST SIMPLY SAY DIALOGUE.

You can really connect with characters with all the funny, quippy and clever speeches they give from time to time. However, I don't like that you have to just sit there and wait for them to respond. I'd like this new talk button to play any random dialogue from that character. You can see this a lot in most other games. This can also strengthen the lore and story flow with NPCs explaining their past/opinions in a certain tone.

I just wish this system existed when Cayde was alive, would've had more fun listening to his rare dialogue.

I mean, the music, the length, the bosses and the lore behind them, and most importantly the location. Its one of the most beautiful raids ever made.
